It's requires a prescription to purchase, this is where the nurse comes into play and she prescribes the cream. I know the cream helps, but the laser is where the real work is done to remove the ink. The treatment is not painless, but very minimal. I think I'm one maybe two treatments away from being completely tattoo free :)

I hate to leave bad reviews, but I don't want someone else to have the experience I have had…read more I had a facial on 10/9. I explained to Houda that I have dry, sensitive skin and am on tretinoin, which further sensitizes skin. Certain ingredients don't mix well with tretinoin and if you're doing a peel, micro needling, etc you have to stop tret use for several days leading up to treatment. During my facial, she applied a salicylic acid mask that immediately burned my skin, to the point that my eyes were watering and it was unbearable to leave on longer than about a minute or two. By the time I got home, my skin was bright red, like a bad sunburn. By 10/11, my skin was peeling off in chunks. I emailed Houda and she replied some dryness and tightness is normal. I am now 4 days out and my entire face is still peeling in large pieces. If I was there for peel, that'd be ok, but I just went for a facial and had no intention of getting a peel and it was never discussed. Houda's response to my concerns has felt a bit dismissive and told me this is a normal reaction. If that's the case, I wish the communication had been better- I had no idea she was going to use a product that'd cause my face to peel intensely for days on end. After looking into the product used, it is not intended to cause peeling. It seems like this product shouldn't have been used on sensitive skin or on a client using tretinoin. The manufacturer of the product advised me to see a doctor regarding this reaction. Based on other reviews I know Houda can do great work, unfortunately I don't think this is a good option for people with sensitive skin looking for a facial.

Houda, the proprietor, zapped them in a matter of a few minutes and they are now completely gone. Houda also does tattoo removal - for people who lacked the good judgement not to get dolphins and Garfield that Cat tatted to their ankles back in the 80's. The salon is gorgeous and she works Tuesday - Saturday: 10 am - 6:30 pm and her prices are lower than other salons that I'd checked out. If you want to get rid of some cherry moles or ridiculous tattoos (that your mother warned you not to get), give her a call.

I believe this was deliberate sexual assault. When I spoke about this to my plastic surgeon, he seemed to think that perhaps these people did not know how to use the laser. Paul has responded saying that I did not complain at the time. This is a deliberate falsehood. I complained that he used too much force, then I complained that his wife used too much force, and eventually I gave up and allowed neither one of them near my breasts so they could not harm me that way anymore. Paul has also said I was abrasive, directly contradicting his remark that there were no complaints. Finally, Paul claims that more than 6 rounds of laser should be necessary for full reduction -- however, the laser did not remove a single hair.

I only went for a consultation and decided to go somewhere else. I didn't get a removal done here,…read moreso this is not a review of services. I shopped around quite a bit and this consultation was by far the most deflating. So obviously I hate my tattoo and showing it makes me feel vulnerable, I felt immediately judged by the owner who is also the tech. She made an audible sound when she saw it and then she shared that given the size of my tattoo it will be super hard to remove. She emphasized how painful it was going to be and how "patients have run screaming from my office and not come back." I asked how many and she said 2. She said that while she can't remove it all she will "go at it and blast it" and that I was guaranteed to blister and bleed. She noted that she offers no pain management at all. I get it - tat removal is not an enjoyable process but her negativity was palpable. Her prices are on the lower side (gave her a star for that). Other than that there were no positives in that consultation. I left feeling scared, upset, and ultimately took another month to research and consider more options. I went with another removal clinic in Portland that had an amazingly positive and optimistic tech. They complimented me on my tattoo while also letting me know that it was possible to remove 95%. They use PicoSure laser which works great on color. They use medical grade ice before and during the process, frequent breaks and the rep suggested that she tackles different sections per visit so my immune system isn't overwhelmed and the pain is isolated to different areas. Genius! I got a full removal package so they are doing more sessions for the same price vs "blasting it" I've been there 3 times and guess what - no blisters and no blood! All other places I visited emphasized healthy skin after removal and so the more treatments / lower frequency laser the better. Don't go somewhere that promises pain, blisters and blood! I know every person and tattoo removal is unique but I suggest you go somewhere with a positive tech that offers pain management and a goal of healthy skin at the end even if it's a little more time and money.

Initially, I was going back every 6 weeks, but now I'm waiting longer (the longer u wait, the more the ink falls out). I have been going since 11/17/2014 and the results are amazing. I never thought they'd actually disappear, but the one on my ribs is fading quickly. I had around 9 sessions on each tattoo It hurts, as expected. It feels like hot grease splattering but they have a tube that shoots cold air at the site and it makes it feel so much better. They are so nice and helpful.
