I was on my way here... It's a small gas station with 8 pumps at the corner of Baldwin Ave and Lower Azusa Rd. Lights were bright and grounds were clean. No other cars were here at the time. I didn't go inside to pay as I prefer to pay at the pump. Hence, I didn't have any encounter with employees. I took a peek inside the food mart, but I didn't see anyone. That's how it usually is for me at any gas station unless the pump is out of paper and I really want a receipt, then I would walk in and ask for one. Or when I need to use the women's restroom. Anyway, my visit here was quick... pump, pay, and go! Thank you 76 for coming to the rescue once again!

Before this Unocal 76, it used to be a Mobil that Frank and Sharon used to own. Are you surprised about the little bit of history of this location I bestow upon you? This location used to be a service station where they did work on your cars and pump your gas if you really want but I really doubt that. Well, the point of this review is to finally put this location on the map since it's been here for almost a year at this point. Competitive gas prices but I don't think anyone can beat Arco prices. I certainly would prefer 76 over Arco gas but really tempting since prices have rose to another all time high. Today is $4.19 for 87, outrageous and this is one of the lowest in the area.

I took of right away to go home to pack. An hour later I realize my mistake. Being superstitious, I wanted to get the $20 back for good luck. Johnny C. Who worked the night shift at 11pm on Tuesday night actually held onto the money for me. Again it was only $20 but for me it was gifting red envelope money from my sister. I only had $6 in cash on me so that's what I put in it. After fueling I get in my car and drive off, pulling out of station I looked at my meter. Nothing changed, I was still at 14 miles and the needle was still just above the empty line. I thought maybe it is just taking its time to register the 6 dollars of fuel. I drove more nothing. I stopped for food, ate, got in my car, 11 miles. Their pump sounded like it was fueling, clearly it wasnt. I could have gone back to tell them but I didnt think it would have done me any good. I was seeing 7 miles left, so I decided to go to a different arco, on garfield right off of the 10 freeway, monterey park. I put in 8 dollars and my meter showed 90 miles, . Never going to this baldwin ave/las tunas station again.

Hence, we stopped by this Mobil which happens to be conveniently located at the corner of Valley Blvd and Rosemead Ave just a few blocks north of Fwy 10. Gas station was well kept. Gas prices were a tad higher than most, but sometimes we got to pay for convenience. It was at the right place at the right time in our case. I pumped half a tank just enough to get us home. Total bill came up to be $20ish which is okay. I paid at the pump which is my preferred way. They do have a food mart, but we didn't go in since we just needed gas. Gas quality is one of the best and very comparable with the other name brand gases. Thank you Mobil for your presence when we needed you most!

Some pros are that the prices are cheaper and you can scan to pay. The biggest con is really the layout of this gas station. Looping around to line up is the most inconvenient at this location. It can make the wait extra long. I will return if it's the nearest Sam's Club gas station to me. If I'm able, I'd prefer to go to their other locations.
