That's why I like to stop here to take a break and refresh before getting back on the interstate. This Maverik is consistently clean, well maintained, and feels like a safe, reliable place to stop. There are plenty of gas pumps, which means quick stops with minimal waiting, and the store has a great selection of hot snacks, cold snacks, drinks, nachos, and those delicious Cinnabon cinnamon rolls that are hard to pass up! Seriously, NOBODY can beat Maverik on the snack situation. As my grandpapa used to say, "if they don't have it it, you don't need it." The fountain and bottled sodas, milkshakes, juices, water, energy drinks...the variety is crazy and there's something for everyone. One of the best features is the outdoor picnic area with tables and beautiful mountain views, a perfect spot to stretch your legs, relax, and enjoy a quick meal before getting back on the road. The stall doors opened inward, forcing me to waddle backward over the toilet just to get in and close the door. No paper towels to dry my hands with, and my husband said the men's bathrooms weren't much better. There was a small gift section (yay!) with Utah themed keychains, magnets, and shot glasses. So we decided not to risk it and stop in for gas, bathroom break, and of course Slurpees. WOW! Is almost all I have words for. I walked into the store and it felt as though I'd walked into a porta potty that had been forgotten many weeks ago. The restroom was disgusting, broken soap dispensers labeled as "sanitizer" and broke toilet and everything around the restroom was filthy. My wife said the women's restroom wasn't any better. The rest of the store was pretty run down feeling too. And over half their slurpee flavors weren't working. So we grab a soda instead and got to the car only to realize it was maybe 1% carbonation and 99% flat over sugared flavors. This 7-Eleven might've gotten us home by selling what we can only hope is gas. ;) But everything else screams run away and go to a different gas station if you can help it.
