The guy in the store was so rude and would not let me use an account number for ground shipping because he wanted me to pay him. He said it was his account and laughed in my face while I took my stuff that I was sending to my niece for her birthday and put it back into my two containers. I have used this business in the past and the past owner was not the best. My niece shipped two lamps a few days ago. We both walked out saying that was the best service we have ever recieved at a UPS or FEDEX store - ANY WHERE!!! She lives in Houston, I am in Chicago. I later sent a piece of art with them. He (Conor?) tells you he will protect, wrap and make sure all is protected. So very happy with the initial service. Proof will be in delivery. I think it will be a complete success. Even though we now have an actual Post Office here on the Island, this is the only place I use for all my employers mailing/shipping needs as well as my own. The young man you will encounter here could not be more helpful and friendly each and every time you walk in. On last Saturday morning I purchased the postage at a premium rate, $9 plus change, for 14 baby shower invitations all going to local addresses, no one has received them yet, it's the following Thursday. The guy at the counter said he doesn't sell stamps and had to print the postage. I gave him the envelopes and he said he would affix the postage and mail them. I called the store today and the person I spoke to said he got stamps at Publix and mailed the invitations on Monday. Hmmm . . . I could have done that! I specifically stopped early on Saturday morning so that they would get in the mail that day; there is a USPS office right around the corner, but my husband and I are small business owners and like to support others. I gave one star because the store has nice local artwork inside for sale and the guy that helped me was pleasant. I guess I'll chalk it up to experience and Island Time??? read more
