    Services provided JAN 2025…read more Living far from where you need service is challenging when deciding on who you're going to hire. It can be a stressful and costly gamble hiring someone when you aren't from the area; with best voice and effort put forward during an initial call followed by a deposit with the final result to be completed one to several weeks later, and will even be to your satisfaction? None of that applies here - our experience with Tate Home Services was outstanding! After speaking with Aaron on the phone, I drove out where we met, looked at the property being prepped for sale then shook hands agreeing on what was to be done. I found Aaron to be courteous and profession both on the phone and also in person. He listened to my concerns and goal then helped formulate a plan to get the job done. Initial survey photos helped us to narrow down the work to be completed, a timeline was put into place and then final photos were sent showing all the work that had been performed. Other than our first meeting at the property, Tate Home Services completed all service requested in a professional and timely manner. Great communication skills, value and quality work. Billing, deposit and final balance were all handled remotely without issue. Thanks, Aaron! I'm keeping you in my phone should we ever need anything in your service area or have friends that are in need of referrals. jto

    We hired this company for commercial work. They failed to submit before/ after photos along with a…read moremanager sign off preventing us from being able to bill our client. I sent multiple emails responding to their invoice inquiry, but they sat in their spam folder. I was verbally told they were leaving double negative reviews, strictly to get my attention. I have a recorded call from yesterday where they stated all this but refuse to be honest online. They purposely copy and pasted a negative review to apply twice against the company I work for. Per their contract with us, they receive payment 45 days from the date we receive their invoice OR when we receive payment from our client. I do not recommend getting involved with dishonest people who use the internet as a game to destroy other businesses. This company did not hold up to the terms of their agreement and are using the internet as a game of destruction.

    Amazing company, with an amazing team member in Mike…read more Early Saturday morning, like midnight, out A/C stopped working and we have a newborn, so we were freaking out. I hoped on Yelp to find an HVAC company with great reviews and after looking at a few, I decided to try Cape Fear. I called their after hours number and was immediately taken care of. The representative took my info and had Mike call me. Mike called me in less than 10 minutes and agreed to come out. He arrived about 30 minutes after we hung up, he located the problem, told us he could fix it and told us the cost. We agreed to the cost and Mike went to work. Our A/C was fixed and running in about 2 hours from the time I made the call. There was an after hours service fee and the cost of parts, but it wasn't expensive and I'm very frugal The only negative comment is that I see they offer military discounts, but we were not offered one.     I had previously reviewed these guys and thought they were great. Well that's until you run into an…read moreissue with them. I've had them come out on 3 separate occasions since November 2025 to resolve an issue for me that never got resolved. They told me it was this then if it wasn't this it would be that. We jumped through the hoops and made all the changes to a tune of $800+. When the tech came out a third time in March 2026 and he literally told my husband what we had been having them come out to fix is how the system was intended to function. Sooo why did I just spend $800+ to fix a non-issue and why wouldn't someone else say that? Fast fast forward to May 2026 another tech comes in to complete regular service and what do you know that issue that the last tech said wasn't an issue turns out it is and now they said it would cost me an additional $1100 fix it. This is in addition to the $275 he had just finished swiping my card for to cover their yearly maintenance plan. I contacted the office and spoke to Frank. We agreed to split the initial $800 cost incurred and split ways and he'd reimburse me once he got the new quote. Sent him the quote but cropped the new company out because it's none of their business who has my business now. Well Frank now says they will not be able to reimburse me for failing to do the job and just charging me for things not needed unless I can provide them the invoice showing without cropping out the new company. I could be doing the repairs myself for all it matters. The point is providing you the next company's information should have no bearing or keep you from refunding charges that should have never been billed to begin with. Needless to say I am not being reimbursed half of the initial $800 agreed upon and Frank will likely come on here and try to justify not giving me my money back. Hope the $400 dollars is worth losing me as a customer forever and all the bad press I'm about to give you around town. I forgot to mention the new company is doing the job Cape Fear Air quoted for nearly half the price.
