They didn't do anything I asked. They didn't help save my house, didn't get my back child support, only asked for spousal which I didn't want and charged me 4500.00 for doing nothing. Phone calls and emails. No court, no nothing. I ended up just ignoring them because they wanted 2000 more to go to court for me after wasting 4500 on nothing. I was sick with covid for a month and they called and emailed me a ton when I couldn't respond. I had others respond for me. They still want money and I'm going to court by myself. They were the worst. I'd give them zero stars if I could. I only hired them to fight for my house and get my child support. Two things they didn't even mention on my minimal paperwork. Don't waste your money. They only want cases they don't have to work for. I will reiterate....I only hired them to save my house from being sold and to get my back child support. 2 things they weren't asking for. Did nothing to support that. And in my only lengthy phone call with the lawyer id never met before and had never spoken to flat out told me I'd have to sell or pay my ex half. So in turn I responded with that's the only reason I needed an attorney?? So why did you take my money? That's where communication ended!! I was finished with them!! Nothing I'm saying is untrue. I'm reporting them to whoever will listen. And this is my FIRST yelp review. If I could give zero stars I would. In fact, if I could give negative stars I would. PLEASE do not get duped like I did. When you first meet Diane she's great. Sounds confident, knowledgeable, and as if she cares about you and your situation. She has a nice office, huge conference room with awards plastered all over the walls, and binders of "positive reviews" from "previous clients" for you to browse through while you wait to hear her spiel. She'll tell you an office staff member will call to check up on you and see how you're doing emotionally all for free, just out of the kindness of their hearts. The calls will be consistent for about a month if that then you'll wonder where your complimentary check up call went and they'll stop calling because they have new clients to pretend to care about. Then, the second you pay Diane your retainer fees of thousands of dollars, she'll pass your file over to her paralegal to take from there. You will never hear from her again. I promise you, she will disappear. You will only communicate with that paralegal assigned to your case and Diane's secretary (who will call you to collect more money) throughout your entire process. You'll think you hired the paralegal to represent you, it's unbelievable. A paralegal cannot give you legal advice. They are not licensed to do so and it is unethical. However, she allows her paralegals to advise you and they'll tell you that Diane is "fully aware" of all the matters regarding your case just so she's "covered". Only problem, big problem, you're just another number in her 300+ client log that she's representing and she indeed has no clue what is actually going on with your case. All she cares about is getting people to post positive reviews. Another issue that you won't find out until after you've paid and are already going through the process of legal documents, filing fees, court dates, etc, she passed my case onto one of her attorneys that she "umbrellas" who she said has a "better relationship with this particular judge" than she does. Um, what??? So now someone who I've never met thus far (and met only one time in person, 15 minutes before my hearing was scheduled to start, 3 1/2 months after I hired Diane) is taking over my case. Not Diane who is the one I actually hired? I had no say so, it was done because she has WAY TOO MANY other clients to handle so she'll pass you off to the newest staff member who has no clue who you are or what your case is all about. This was a 3 1/2 month long process. It's exhausting, emotional, anxiety ridden, stressful, sad, you name it. You can't just change things in the middle of a legal battle, you have to start over which no one wants to do. Why were these things happening mid case? What was I supposed to do at this point except believe them and pray for the outcome they said was a "black and white situation" an "open and shut case" that should be no problem. Fast forward to our hearing date. The attorney she appointed to take over on her behalf, choked. Beyond choked. DID NOT SAY A WORD IN COURT!!! Everything that was discussed over the past 3 1/2 months with the paralegal (and supposedly Diane and attorney Sargas who took over my case) and should have been addressed in court, she sat there silent. I was put in another room (hearings are held via telephone because courts are closed due to covid) nowhere near my attorney. Sat by myself without the representation I paid thousands of dollars to have by my side. I got up and ran into her office and yelled why aren't you saying anything!! This is my child!!!! You want to know what attorney Sargas did, she shrugged her shoulders at me and said "sorry". 3 1/2 months of stress and anxiety for me (while being pregnant on top of everything) was all for nothing. This was a child custody and visitation case. I immediately reached out to Diane questioning everything. She had the audacity to email me saying I had a bad judge that day (same judge the attorney she appointed supposedly knew better than she did) and blaming ME saying I didn't follow their advise leading up to our hearing. Excuse me? I'm a competent person and can follow directions. Especially in this situation where it involves my child, you bet I'm going to listen and follow what they advised me to do. After that, never heard from this office again and they even dropped me as a client without any warning or letter stating I no longer had legal representation through them. All because I asked questions as to how this outcome could have possibly happened and why her attorney said nothing in court. I found emails between myself and her paralegal proving I was doing exactly what I was advised to do, proof that Diane was "told" that I was doing what they advised me to do, as well as a filed document served to my ex husband's attorneys office also proving what I *review cont. below* read more

This office represented me and I was pleased with all they did, that when I was in need of representation yet again, this was the first place to go too. The whole staff is very professional and friendly. Danielle Matthews (paralegal) was a huge help 8 years ago and was no less this time around. She is easy to talk too and efficient in her work. Day or night when I had a question she responded as immediate as she could. Most of my contact was with Danielle and she always kept me informed. If I had a question she could not answer ( which was rare) she would get back to me with the answer almost immediately. If I could give zero stars, I would. Under the guise of "trying to save you money," you will only have a paralegal working on your case. What's more, the paralegal that was assigned to my case was wholly incompetent and even lied. The paralegal went out of their way to make contact with me to seek out an additional retainer for another aspect of my case. Once obtained, the paralegal called back and informed me that they did not have an attorney available for my upcoming court date, so they had to request a continuance. Mind you, the court date had been set months in advance prior to them contacting me to seek the additional retainer. When I communicated my frustration with their representation, or lack thereof, the paralegal lied and claimed I was offered a refund of my retainer, but I refused. Nothing could have been further from the truth. This firm is dishonest and does not have your best interest at heart. I literally was further back and worse off in my case than I was when I had my initial consultation. Avoid them at all costs. On a side note, right before I left and sought other, more competent representation, they informed all clients they were going to start charging clients for their credit card fees. So, if you use a credit card to pay for their services, which most people do because of the exorbitant cost, the total cost will be 2-3% more than what is quoted because you will be stuck with the Visa or Mastercard fee. This from a firm that claims they are in it to save you money. My honest opinion from personal experience is to move on and seek another firm. read more

So first I should have known not to work with this firm off of the get go. When I walked in I was almost instantly typecasted as a typical father trying to get rid of my family and had to iterate and reiterate 4 times that I would like to split custody and keep everything as civil as possible. The real meat and potatoes: This firm is excellent at taking every single penny. I received countless redundant emails and phone calls asking to go over my paperwork which I had already gone over twice with my lawyer, when I politely refused and stated that I already knew the contents I was informed that I did not have a choice that I had to listen.... again. Not surprisingly I was charged for this time. So I continued to use their services and while I was waiting on a signature from the defendant so that this firm could finalize and submit my documentation they continued to charge me. They were not actively working my case but over $3,000 went to them calling and emailing me for literally nothing. So long story short I ran out of money and now the paperwork that they started is null and void because it has their signature on it. So over a year later and over $6,000 guess who is still married. Absolutely HORRIFIC experience and would warn anyone to seek legal counsel elsewhere. read more
