There's a small parking lot and I recommend using a GPS since the sign was blocked by foliage so we drove by it the first time. The path was narrow, flat, and dry, and the first part of the trail is in the sun and has foliage going into the trail so being but spray and sunscreen. Also, we crossed the creek to continue on the trail, however it was unclear at times if we were on the trail. The Posted signs were more prevalent so at least we knew where we weren't supposed to go. Note: no dogs are permitted on the trail. Overall it was a convenient stop since we were already out this way.

I naively came after a storm this morning and all of the trails were very wet and/or muddy. My feet are soaked leaving but I still had a good time. First off, I feel like the walking trails here are nice. More markers would be cool, but I like the ease of the trails. They have a dog park too which is great. I can't wait to come back with my pup before the snow and have her run around too. Everything is very open which makes it even more awe-inspiring and beautiful on a summer day. I also love all of the old architecture here too with the old stables, main house, etc. It really feels like a different place when you step foot on property. LIke being transported through time almost. The music festival was awesome here. I think the lay of the land, the older buildings, and the beauty of the park really amplify the event and make it feel even better than other possible locations in the area. I will definitely be back to visit the park, and back for the music festival.

There is a ton of flat spaces though once past the rocks and it's really awesome to just play there on the edge of it with the current pushing you along to the deeper side.

I had originally planned on just doing a quick lunch walk to do some bird watching but when I got there I quickly realized I'd be there longer than expected because there were so many rarer birds I had never seen and the place was so beautiful! The trail along the gorge rim was really gorgeous. Pun intended Some of the other trails inside of the woods were pretty muddy and a bit hard to follow because of the leaves, but using the alltrails app helped a lot. All of the trials were well marked too, which I really appreciated. It does seem like this place needs a bit more upkeep, but for the most part it's a really great park to walk at and it's dog friendly. All of the trails are pretty moderate and not too strenuous.

It was a moderately challenging (meaning some extended periods of walking uphill) and about a 3-1/2 to 4 mile hike. The day we went it was not buggy but we did encounter some muddy areas. Great place to hike come fall when the leaves will be changing.
