Ed's skills are beyond what I would ever expect.  His experience/expertise saved me money and it was a small repair rather than a gigantic messy project. The previous plumber could not fix the problem with a broken faucet valve, so he wanted me to open the neighboring wall and the ceiling underneath, so that he can access the faucet from two sides.  Then, the previous plumber did not respond.   Ed cleaned the faucet, inserted a new part and he was done in half an hour.   Very highly recommended! read more

We had two people show up at our home and when I asked if they were vaccinated they took out masks and put them on. Apparently, it didn't cross my partner's mind to ask when he made the appointment. We have used this business a few times over the past 20+ years as home owners but plan to find another service provider in the future. read more

Ed from Sinks to Sewers did an excellent job repairing and replacing 3 of my faucets in my condo. Unfortunately, he also did an excellent job of chatting for an hour in the middle of his work. This meant I was charged an extra hour for the service. This didn't bother me so much at first because when he was done, I needed the him to stay and talk to my home warranty people. They needed to confirm the cost and the repair work in order for them to cover everything. Ed ended up confusing them on the cost of everything, and it took a little longer than expected. He ended up getting very angry, yelling at me, and slamming his things on my counter. I gave him his check and politely asked him to leave me house. By the time this all went down, he stayed an extra 30 minutes. Given that I he wouldn't stop talking and get back to work for about an hour, I thought this was fair. I would not recommend Sinks to Sewars, or at least would not recommend starting a conversation with Ed. He will waste time, and charge you for it. He may also become agitated, loud, and violent. I will never call them again for any service. read more

Interesting... Posted this review in April of this year, alongside two other one-star reviews that have mysteriously disappeared. I will repost, because you should know what you're dealing with if you call these people: I had Sinks to Sewers out several times over the last few years to fix a drain in my basement that kept backing up. They snaked it and charged me each time--until the last time it backed up and flooded my basement 40 days after their previous service call. They said too bad, their guarantee ends at 30 days, and I'd have to pay to have them out again. Thank goodness I didn't. Turned out they had failed to properly diagnose the problem any of the previous times they were out--and would have simply charged me and left once again, with my basement ready to continue flooding. Despite being a longtime customer of Sinks to Sewers, they did not make the effort to properly diagnose my plumbing issue and they did not stand behind their work. read more

Just used these guys. I was about to do a home fix of a fawcet but the valves were old and wouldn't shut off so I figured I'd let the pro's handle it. Used Hutzels before but felt their prices were a bit high. Call Sinks to Sewers because of the good reviews. They were able to come out the same day. Young man knew exactly what to do. Didn't waste time . and took care of the problem. Price was very fair. Charges were a little high on parts but at least they had them. I would use them again. Also its a family business. read more

Two thumbs up. I just had a really bad experience with a competitor and Gabe the plumber was a great relief. The other plumber gouged me for something they misdiagnosed, and then said it would be another several hundred dollars to replace the stop valve that was now leaking profusely. Forget them. Anyway, S2S was great. Gabe offered to FIX the part rather than replace the part - what a rare find for a plumber. It was very reasonably priced - 1/3 the price the other guy quoted and I kid you not. I told my landlord and will call them whenever I need help. read more

Friendly and professional but couldn't fix my problem. I have a clogged drain that I couldn't snake myself with a 50 foot snake, so I called these guys as they were referred by a friend. They said they'd get it taken care of. Their plumber who showed up was very kind and professional but after trying a couple different times to snake/plunge the drain, no luck. He expended all 60 feet of his snake and had no other options, leaving me to have to call someone else with more power. Had I known they were so limited (I mentioned I had a 50 foot snake myself that didn't work) I would have gone with someone else from the start. I didn't get charged for the actual cleaning fee since the line wasn't cleaned, but still charged $90 for the service call and time. I understand having to pay to operate but I'm very disappointed in the lack of capability and am back to square one with $90 literally down the drain. I'm sure these guys are good at what they do and may be better equipped to handle different problems but I was not satisfied. Update: I had Michigan Power Rodding come out to take care of it. They snaked the exact same way, and they hit the clog in 35 feet. Upon showing me their equipment I immediately noticed that the end of the snake was much more rigid and capable of breaking through a clog. They even went to 60 feet just to make sure everything was cleared, and at that point they made it all the way to my final clean out. This means the original STS technician made it just as far and only poked through the clog, not actually clearing it at all. The equipment difference was insane, with STS's equipment looking barely more capable than my own. Managements only response was that they tried, but honestly using low grade equipment doesn't cut it, because I also tried with low grade equipment. Don't waste your money or your time with Sinks to Sewers for drain cleaning. read more

I can't say enough good things about this family, locally owned company. Have used them for years but recently two things stuck out to us. One was last spring when Gabe came to look at our master toilet and it's inefficient flushing from time to time, we thought it was going to be $100s of dollars maybe even$ 1000s to fix if the venting to the house was wrong. I even told Gabe this, nope just sediment built up on the under flush, some vinegar and a deep clean and Gabe was on his way! Holy Moly honesty! Then just after Christmas we were preparing to leave when we notice a small leak on our basement floor from the ceiling. I called them and the owner came out immediately and assured me it was our washing machine and it was fine to go away! He also walked me through how to turn off the water to the house in our absence. Had a leaking faucet in a bathroom and a leaking shutoff In the basemen for my outside irrigation system. Very prompt response from Sink To Sewers. Brian fixed the leak but went beyond and adjusted the positioning of the faucet handles and showed me what the problem was. He took time to explain in detail and then completed the work very satisfactory. Then he tackled the shutoff in th e basement. Again Brian explained in detail what should be done and just replace the shutoff. It was like a jigsaw puzzle, because though the years plumbing work was required Replacing the whole house shutoff ( which had failed some years ago requiring the city to turn off the water at the street). Brian replaced the jigsaw with one smooth continuous pipe and shutoff. Needless to say that I will be calling Sinks To Sewers for my next .plumbing job. I would give five stars but I worry the review might get flagged. We had a small leak in our kitchen sink and I couldn't fix it or figure out what to do. My wife called and they set up an appointment within three days even though we weren't really a major emergency. Brian came over, looked at the sink, and gave me a few options, none of which involved buying from him. He spent 20 minutes educating me on the least expensive manners and even suggested chrome faucets to match the cabinet effects and make the kitchen pop more. He was quick, professional, didn't bring dirt into the house, and told me if I needed anything else I could call. He talked professionally but wasn't trying to be over my head. He did a great job. Several years ago we contacted Sinks to Sewers and at dinner tonight we discussed plumbing contractors and the visit - and I was encouraged to write a retroactive review. I would never have them come to my residence again - the guy who came to our house asked to use our bathroom, closed the door and rummaged through our medicine cabinet. My wife caught the guy and sent him packing, but not apparently before he stole a bottle of prescription pain killers that my doctor had prescribed for my back. I can't help but wonder how many times this has happened to other clients, and when my wife called to report this incident the company did nothing to make amends. read more

We called Sinks to Sewers with a non-emergency, and after leaving a message, Pat contacted us within a couple of hours and they came out later that day. We had a clogged toilet and needed a new kitchen faucet installed. Gabe was very friendly and knowledgeable. He explained why we were having problems with our toilet and all available options for correcting the problem (who knew toilets could be so complicated?). He explained what he was doing as he both fixed the toilet and installed the kitchen faucet and cleaned up completely after the job was done. The Sinks To Sewers owner, Ed, was right on time for my service appointment, and he was very well prepared with all the materials necessary to do a very difficult plumbing repair/replacement for a broken shower valve. He was very professional and friendly. Ed kindly explained to me every thing he would be doing to further ensure my confidence. I appreciated that his bill was fair and detailed all that was done, including the parts that were installed for my future reference. Ed used a tarp to protect my carpet and he cleaned up when he was done to have my shower looking like new. I didn't even make it past getting an appointment 10 days out, after having calling about a plugged toilet, which after plunging for 15 minutes is the sole extent of my plumbing ability and knowledge. If you don't know plumbing you call a professional plumbing company... evidently not Sink To Sewers. Notwithstanding the week and a half without a downstairs bathroom until the appointment; absolutely ridiculous to be "grilled" by the receptionist (that admitted she knows nothing about plumbing) on where and how the pipes in my house are connected (the house is 46 years old and I've lived there 12 years. HTH would I know?) Where the septic is and how far... suggesting maybe the septic needs pumped... (I had a septic company pump it 3 years ago and told it didn't really need it. I did not ask them how many feet from the house it is nor did they even ask me where it is!) Receptionist only had excuses and additional excuses for why they can't help me depending on answers I could only guess at ...seriously?? Yes, I know a plugged toilet can be an indicator of other issues... that's why I called (I thought) professionals!! What a shame. Complete waste of time. Reading other reviews, evidently it depends on what day of the year it is, which way the wind is blowing and if the sun is out whether you get any service, good service, the run around, or jerked around. read more

Called on the weekend and received a prompt call-back Monday morning from Pat. She scheduled an appointment the same day.
