I was quite impressed by the kindness, courtesy, and professionalism when I first visited the office of Capitol Otolaryngology. Dr. Wassmuth examined my nose and suggested balloon sinuplasty with turbinate reduction. After much trepidation, I scheduled the surgery, which is done in-office. The process of fixing my nose didn't take all that long. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Jack Carsner, was excellent, as were all those I met in the operating room. The procedure apparently went off without a hitch, and my husband drove me home where I rested the remainder of the day. Within a day or so I was feeling much better. I am still considered to be recovering after a week, but have already experienced noticeable improvements in my breathing. My husband says my snoring was virtually gone within a day after the procedure. I've had a variety of seemingly-minor health concerns, that when put together, have led to other problems. Snoring, dry mouth, dental issues, and poor sleep quality turned out to have (at least in part) had a common root cause in breathing problems. Hopefully all will improve or resolve before very long. If you have any kind of breathing problems, including snoring and symptoms like dry mouth when you awaken, you may benefit from a visit to Dr. Wassmuth. I highly recommend his medical practice.

Dr. Slaughter has a double board certification in both Otolaryngology and Sleep Medicine, and has over 30 years of experience. He trains other ENT doctors to use his balloon technique. If you have to have deviated septum or sinus surgery, or need help with sleep apnea, I highly recommend this physician for your treatment. He helped develop a minimally invasive technique called balloon sinuplasty. I have heard many horror stories regarding recovery from people who experienced deviated septum surgery in other ENT doctor's offices. I experienced nothing but positivity yesterday. When I arrived for surgery, from the front desk staff who greeted me and checked me in, to every single person I encountered, I felt at peace. The nurses are exceptional, especially Karen, who checked on me in the recovery room, and the nurse who stayed with me after surgery (I don't remember her name). When Karen had me prepped for surgery and walked me into the surgery room, I saw the doctor, the anesthesiologist, and at least 3 nurses, standing in a simi circle around the chair, all smiling at me, as if they were the welcoming committee! It gave me such a feeling of peace, and I knew they were going to take good care of me. Every single encounter was first class and professional. My recovery so far has been excellent, with very little bleeding, no stints in my nostrils, and only mild discomfort. I was able to make an appointment on short notice. Dr. Nason was calming, caring, and considerate. He never talked down to me. Fortunately, the problem turned out to be only impacted wax. Meanwhile, however, he also had my hearing rested by an audiologist in his office, who was extremely helpful in suggesting ways to deal with my existing hearing loss. I'll see Dr. Nason for any future hearing issues and any other issues within the scope of his expertise. I recommend him and his whole office highly.

My father was in the hospital and they referred me to Dr Nason. This doctor's name was written on his discharge paperwork. I filed out the appointment form online with all the information, including his diagnosis/hospital info/and that the hospital wrote a referral. Someone called me a few days later and set him up an appointment for 3 1/2 weeks later. 24 hours before the appointment, they called to say this doctor won't see him for his diagnosis. My father has been suffering for over 3 weeks waiting to see this specialist. They refused to take any accountability for the situation or admit they put his health in danger. The office manager told me this is not their fault and blamed the ER. Then she blamed the call center schedulers. Completely unprofessional to shift the blame to your employees and then tell you it's not her problem.

Upon arrival they said they won't have that available until end of January (I came sometime in January as per the doctor mentioned previously). Paid copay for nothing. 2) came back late February or March for the same service and they inform me I needed to make an appointment via some special department for it. Well again, no one told me when I made the appointment and I was very clear when I called. I got visibly upset so they refunded my copay. But still, lots of time wasted with the driving and waiting. 3) third time we waited over an hour for our appointment. Because we love dr nason we let it slide. 4) third time we waited over an hour again. When it's back to back bad service, we need to reconsider finding another clinic. This is a total disrespect for people's time.

I appreciate that Dr. Fyfe tries to avoid surgery, if possible. But, if you do end up needing…read moresurgery, I recommend getting a second opinion before you move forward with surgery. Dr. Fyfe performed my surgery in March (balloon sinuplasty and "roto rooter" holes). The surgery required general anesthesia, and recovery from the "roto rooter" was long and painful. After recovery, I felt great for about 6 weeks. Then, in May I got a sinus infection and took antibiotics. In June I got another sinus infection, another follow up, and more antibiotics. In July...another sinus infection. After that, I sought another opinion, and found that there are more modern and effective procedures that do not require cutting holes (the "roto rooter") and do not require general anesthesia. I had another procedure done last week to fix my sinuses (the holes Dr. Fyfe made weren't draining properly) and it has been a much easier recovery so far. Only twilight sedation was needed, and it was done in-office instead of in a surgery center. I feel more confident now that my infected days are over, but I wish I would have gotten a second opinion before surgery with Dr. Fyfe so that I could have avoided the permanent and unnecessary holes in my sinuses.

Within a week I had RhinAer & Balloon Sinuplasty performed. Had 2 follow ups both 2 weeks apart. I have not been able to breathe through my nose in over 20yrs. And the major issue was I couldn't get hot without having a box of Kleenex with me. SO, as of today I can breathe through my nose & can go outside without any tissues. They were very thorough about telling me about what to expect during and after the procedure. They also called to check in with me the next day. This is the third ENT I have gone to in two years. The others just adjusted my ear crystals and sent me on my way. They actually did a lot more testing and found that I had other issues contributing to my vertigo. None of the other clinics had done that.
