I was greeted promptly at the door and sat quickly. It was quite busy, it being a Saturday morning. The ambience inside was surprisingly of a rustic contemporary design. Nice booths on one side and more table and chair seating on the other side of the restaurant. My server "Kelly" was full of pep and energy and had a great personality. She suggested the breakfast special so I decided to take her suggestion. Breakfast started with a piping hot cup of delicious coffee that was bottomless I also had the O.J. Which can sometime be a hit or miss. It was definitely a hit. (Not the cheap stuff you'd expect). When breakfast arrived not only was everything exactly prepared how I ordered it, it was also presented on a beautiful deep rustic stoneware platter (not your standard cheap with plate). I indulged into the delicious breakfast platter and was instantly impressed by the locally sourced flavours of the eggs, bacon and even the bread for the toast. The home fries, well they are in a whole other level of delicious. I learned they were actually the owners secretly seasoned potato recipe that have been served for years here. If you happen to find yourself in Elmira around breakfast time or are looking for a quaint upper scale breakfast place with a great atmosphere and delicious food outside of the city wether your dining solo or with a group then I highly recommend the Sip & Bite for a pleasant dining experience. Observing how busy they were if you are going as a group I'd suggest a reservation, if they take them (not sure about that). Now pleasantly full I am headed to Elora for the day, which is a beautiful little town just 15minutes from Elmira and I highly recommend checking that place out to.

Flies everywhere from the door opening and closing. You will be shewing them off your food. There is only one bathroom and the line gets quite long since people (read not patrons) come in to use this bathroom. They have many vegan options. There was a tofu bon mi and a tofu TLT sandwich. Both great, but don't come with anything. I also ordered a blueberry bar dessert and it was great. The lavender lemondade was a miss. Just yellow water. I will try them again for the plant based options.
