Location: Middle of farm country…read more Parking: Lots. Although it's pretty busy there, so you may have to circle a bit if you want to park really close Building: It is pretty big and there's an entrance and an exit door although I don't think they're labeled.Just everyone knows. You walk into the store part, and then you turn to the left to go, put your name down to go to the restaurant. The restaurant waiting area is pretty big. They have church pew seed thing along the walls, and there's things you can look at Food: I think the thing they're known for is they're broasted chicken. I didn't get it it just looks like fried chicken I don't know what broasted is but a lot of people got it. They also have meats of the day. When I went the meats were the chicken, turkey and pork chop. Why I was waiting to be seated I was talking to a couple and a couple things were recommended the turkey dinner because they said it would be like having Thanksgiving in the summer and pick the cheddar biscuit. Every meal includes a fresh from the oven biscuit. Oh I have to say the menu does have other things on it like hamburgers and I think chicken fingers and such but most people just went for the meats of the day. That I could see So I got the turkey you can get small medium or large they suggest small for seniors so I picked a medium which was a lot of food and I'm a big eater. I also got a slice of pie there's a bakery with a lot Kadish you can buy and they fresh bake all the pies in the morning for us and I got a rhubarb custard pie and it was delicious. Actually the whole meal was fantastic so I got a turkey with stuffing mashed potatoes gravy corn cranberry sauce and a biscuit and a pie. It was absolutely delicious. I just wish that it was closer because I would love to go more. Everyone was friendly the food was good and they sell bakery items frozen items gift ware. I can see why it's really busy Oh I forgot to mention there's also a little farmers market in the parking lot Okay think that's it. So I would go again in heartbeat

The servers have a nice outfit, the breasted chicken was great along with the sides, so yummy, the cheese bread did not taste like cheese though. They have a nice store that sells pies and they also sell the breasted chicken.

As our main course, my husband got the double cheeseburger and fries and I got the Buffalo chicken with fries, booth plates where 10/10. For dessert my husband insisted we get the brownie with ice cream top up with whip cream. I had to split with him as the meal was filling on its own! I would recommend people to try this and support some local independent business versus going to a large chain restauran. Thanks again for the meal and service you provided for us this evening. Lunch was perfect with lots of soups, salads, and sandwiches to choose from. They even had a soup flight! I opted for butternut squash soup and a small Greek salad. Everything was delicious and portions were perfect. Husband had a chicken pita and decided on tots for his side. I stole a few tots and they were delicious. Nice and crispy. Service was excellent. The place was a cute one-room area with a little bar in the back of the room and booths and tables throughout. The bar had a big screen TV which was showing a baseball game. It looked like they have live music on certain days. It's part of a strip mall so don't miss it.

A couple Saturdays ago, I was running a few errands. Once I was done, I felt like visiting a diner for lunch. I did a search and found Poached Dreams Diner in Aurora. I didn't mind driving up from Markham to check it out. It was straightforward getting here. I parked in the parking lot and walked in from what looked like the back of the diner. There's also a front door with a patio that faces Wellington Street East. I was immediately greeted by a young, enthusiast woman. I let her know that I needed a table for one. She got me to a comfortable booth by the window. The catch is that you have to watch your step to get to your seat. It's a treat when I have breakfast out. I thought that I'd be getting french toast. Well, all that changed when I saw a heading for comfort foods on the menu. Nothing makes me happier than seeing open-faced sandwiches on a menu. It was probably during my days living in Winnipeg that I fell in love with such sandwiches and at least a side. New goal: come here and have every open-faced sandwich on the menu. I got cold water to start. It was refreshing and much needed after running errands. I ordered these items for my meal: - Diet Coke (2) - Hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and veggies My Diet Coke came with a glass with ice. I loved it. I wish the can was larger! I needed a second can for dessert. I loved my hot turkey sandwich. There was a generous amount of sliced turkey smothered in sauce over a slice of white bread. I got to choose my starch. I went with mashed potatoes. There was enough gravy over the turkey that I dunked my spoonfuls of mashed potatoes into it. I loved the steamed veggies. They were perfectly cooked. They also went into the gravy. The meal was delicious. I'd order it again. I felt like dessert. I asked if there was any. Baklava with pistachios. I said yes. I thought that it would be a square or rectangle. Nope. I got a roll. Cool! It was perfect. It had the right amount of honey. It was crispy and yummy. So good! I paid my bill at the table. I tipped and then tapped my credit card. I elected to have the receipt texted to my phone, which also signed me up for its points program. Yay! I learned that this diner has been open since June 2025. I'm always late to any party because I seem to live under a rock or in a cave. I'm glad that I visited this eatery. Great food. Great service. Great! I used the washroom before I left. The women's washroom was clean and had a full-length mirror. This eatery is huge. It looks like there's a cafe for those grabbing coffee and maybe a snack before leaving. I look forward to returning for more good eats and drinks. (148)

Upon entering, the space is super spacious and clean. My friend ordered their 2 egg special with bacon, and I ordered their soup and sandwich combo ($12/13). I decided to go with their tuna salad and chicken noodle soup. Upon recommendation from our server, I also ordered their cappuccino- it was very delicious. Amazing food and great service, I would like to come back and try some of their dinners dishes.
