Upon entering, you're warmly welcomed by the staff and local goods. We wanted a filling breakfast before a hike and some morning coffee. I got a mocha and my partner got a drip coffee. I also built my own breakfast sandwich and ordered the sourdough, American cheese, sausage, and egg. My partner ordered the same but with an added tomato. He joked about not having it in the coffee, but in the sandwich. The staff riffed along. We didn't wait too long for our orders and enjoyed our drinks and food in a room filled with yummy natural lighting. While I didn't enjoy my iced mocha as much as I would've like to, I loved my sandwich. The mocha was a little more syrupy thank I would've liked. My partner's coffee was good though. And my breakfast sandwich really hit the spot to help me feel full before our hike. When his sandwich came out we realized the tomato was missing. He went to ask and the barista made a very cute joke about it being in the coffee before giving him a plate of tomato to make up for it. I loved that. I highly recommend visiting Maybelle's on Main for yummy food, coffee, and great service.

Serving American classics with high quality and great hospitality…read more Sandwiched between two floors of antique malls, Jack's was the perfect stop in the day to get some no-frills nourishment. Their breakfast is incredibly generous and made with ingredients that were fresh, clean, and meticulous in detail. The design of their menu is just so promising with unique twists that are not unheard of, but just an elevated touch when it comes to American diner food as a whole. Things like truffle infused hollandaise, fried green tomato BLT, pairing balsamic with goat cheese, a blackened pork, even mushrooms on the breakfast menu all hint that people developing their menu are confident in their skills in offering something more when it comes to breakfast plates and sandwiches. Their homemade aiolis (highly recommend their pesto aioli) and hot sauce tie any dish together-- breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Things made to this quality are not to be unremarked. Came in with friends so we can try everything on their menu, and we were pleasantly surprised on all fronts. Presentation, ingredients, preparation all elements that made our meals great and were evident across all dishes ranging from protein to carb. Details like toasted bread with already spread with butter, perfectly poached eggs, and brioche as the bun of choice were things we peeped. We would have left satisfied if these details weren't accounted for, but we were so impressed this became a revisit during our short vacation. Their space is greatly spacious, with an open drinks station so its just not pretentious. There is even a section in the front to pick up goods made by local artisans. This is a great place to dine in, no notes.

The atmosphere in the dining room was nice and airy. As we were traveling a good distance I decided to get the renowned cinnamon roll to go . I got a take out coffee and was told there would be a brief wait. After several minutes-a roll came out on a plate. Someone asked what I was there for. I said I'm for a cinnamon roll to go. The busy manager said they take 10 minutes After 20 minutes my husband came in to find me -the roll appeared soon after. I'm a quiet type person , I took the roll and left . It was very good. There is parallel street parking in front of the store and also nearby. Their FB page says that they have a minimum of 24 flavors at any given time, and some of the flavors switch out. We got coffee, chocolate chip cookie dough, and coconut almond chocolate chip ice cream flavors -- all three were delicious! The coffee flavor was strong and perfectly sweet. Prices are very reasonable! If you just want a single flavor, I actually recommend getting 1 scoop - the portion size was honestly similar to the 2 scoops in the end so it seems like a better deal to me. If you want different flavors, go for the 2 scoops or more. You can sample different flavors in store. My only negative is that I don't believe the ice cream is made in-house -- looks like it might be sourced from Hershey's according to their ice cream containers. Still tasty though and if I'm ever in the area again, I'd come back! The employee was wearing a mask.

I was the only person in there. I'm surprised that the people of Elkton don't seem to know what a gem they have in this little business. They also serve a real English tea without reservations. And their prices were so reasonable. Wish they were down here in Charleston. I'd be there all the time. Good luck.

I grabbed a shopping cart and my son was excited to jump in and help me pick out all of the goodies. I grabbed handmade cheese balls, classic old-time candy for our gingerbread house, pretzels stuffed with peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies that were proudly advertised as having no additives or preservatives. Don't worry, these cookies didn't last more than 5 minutes with my kids. Outside, there is a fun petting zoo, where you can buy feed and raise it up on a conveyer belt to feed the goats. Also, there are playgrounds that are fantastic. They're also available to buy but so nice the kids could experience such a high quality play set while I shopped. So, if you've had Hershey's ice cream, you know what you're getting. All decent. My kids went crazy for the colorful vanilla and the cotton candy. They also offer fruit smoothies, though I overheard the staffer explaining that he stops offering them in October because there is less demand for them. There is a gender-neutral bathroom (slightly dingy, but otherwise adequate) with a changing table. I'm a tall guy, and the table was a perfect height for me, so good luck changing your baby if you're less than 5'9. Cash is king - they waive the card fee if you pay in cash, so come prepared!
