Looked like it could be a fun atmosphere or Coffee shop to hang out at, but we got some weird vibes. Both people working at the counter taking orders and making drinks were not overly friendly. We weren't greeted nor thanked besides. The only words spoken to us were to tell of the total before the guy ringing up went off to poor a drink for us. They weren't busy with a line, just many people already seated in the shop. The cold brew is ok, nothing setting it apart flavor wise. Might be a smidge watered down. I opted for half and half. The iced chai was very good though. Has good spice and they aren't used an already mixed pour. It just felt fresher and real. Cold brew 4 stars, iced chai 5 stars, service 1 star. Sip Stir just slightly missed the mark, and maybe it was just a bad day! But came in Sunday morning for a bite & coffee. They had plenty of cool options. Also the staff were all extremely friendly but the execution wasn't quite there. I ordered a latte, chocolate croissant, and almond butter banana toast. There was little to no line but all three items took way too long. The latte was delicious but it took awhile. Then after waiting forever they brought me avocado toast which is so far off, I finally got my correct toast and it was delicious. But my chocolate croissant never showed up, I had to walk back in 3 separate times just to get my croissant. Overall I liked the vibe but wasn't the best experience. Cute little coffee shop in one of my favorite areas, west village/uptown Dallas. Super walkable, small but shaded patio with several round tables, and dimly lit interior with lots of comfy seating options. They have a great seasonal menu selection of drinks plus a small menu of light lunches and snacks. Their pastries aren't on the menu because I think they change regularly, but the staff is prompt to describe what's available. My iced rosemary lavender latte was really great - not overpowering at all on either flavor. The almond croissant wasn't as flaky as I was expecting and more cake-like, but it's full to the brim with almond cream and I think the amount soaked in mor the pastry. It's not the best I have but almond is one of my favorite flavors and this had a TON, so it was fine for me. Service was very fast and staff was friendly. Quaint coffee house with lots of seating. COVID review: I come from California where regulations are pretty high so it was bizarre to see people sitting in, without masks. Tables are still spaced apart to maintain distance but still odd. There's also seating outside if that's what you prefer. Food review: Amazing. We grabbed their apple peanut butter toast and almond butter banana toast. Both equally delicious, the apple PB toast had a very distinct cinnamon flavor to it. I could see this cute coffee shop being a good place to study. The couches and seats are comfortable and there is plenty of space to spread out. I came early morning on a weekday and there was no one else there. I personally ordered the creme brulee latte which I thought was pretty good and actually tasted like creme brulee. I generally like my coffee black and simple. If you have similar tastes, and don't dig fru fru drinks, then I would recommend the following: - Cold brew: Super smooth, yet bold. Like many excellent cold brews. - Iced latte: Solid ratio between coffee and milk. They offer non-diary options for it, and I chose almond. I also see they offer pour overs, chemex, and French presses, too. I haven't had the opportunity to try too much of their stuff, but I plan on returning to Sip Stir, soon. read more

I came in today for the first time and savored the environment as well as a decaf pumpkin spice oat milk cortado; the experience in the shop was refreshing to my soul!! I've already got a go-to coffee shop in the downtown/ uptown area but now that I've visited this place, I can say that my go-to spot has got some stiff competition. The drink I ordered, while a bit less sweet than I anticipated, was earthy tasting (complementary to the atmosphere of the shop), and you could make out the taste of the mellow espresso a bit more than the pumpkin spice (next time I'll ask for a tad more of the pumpkin spice). The space was calm and perfect for an afternoon of getting work done as most of the other patrons were busy working on laptops, writing in notebooks, etc. Overall, I was grateful to get to spend a few hours in the space surrounded by their modern decor and plants, while ease-fully getting some notes written in this peaceful little 'hide-away.'
