So the Berni Bean recently moved to a new location in Downtown and I couldn't be more excited for this Dallas coffee shop! Not only is the new vibe so great, but the coffee is just the same, which is perfect, because any Dallas Native will tell you...One thing Berni Bean knows, is how to make a good cup of coffee! I went early in the morning on a Saturday to meet a colleague! She was traveling from out of town and requested that I take her somewhere in Dallas with amazing caffeine! I immediately suggested Berni bc duh! I ordered a latte, one fo their speciality ones and I wanted it hot, while my boyfriend ordered a iceds banana latte, and my colleague ordered an iced latte as well! Now I can only speak for my own and my Boyfriends, both were so delicious! I LOVE when a coffee shop can make speciality lattes with amazing syrups but still maintain the integrity of the coffee flavor! And the team at Berni does that amazingly! I loved everything we had. The yogurt bowl was perfect for my toddler other than the sticky fingers from the honey. The avocado toast abd matcha also hit the spot. You could tell they really knew what they were doing. We both started with black coffees, which we prepared ourselves, and everything was fresh and exactly what we needed. Later, I went back and tried their strawberry, banana, peanut butter smoothie made with almond milk, and wow. Usually, banana overpowers everything in smoothies, but somehow they balanced it perfectly. I could actually taste every single fruit, which felt like magic. The prices were very reasonable, and I even grabbed a croissant for my walk back to the hotel, which was a nice little bonus. I'm always looking for a good coffee shop and I was excited to find this spot which was a short walk from the hotel I was staying in. I found The Berni Bean and I was instantly excited to try one of their specialty lattes and their empanadas. I almost decided to keave because my first interaction with one of the employees was not the most welcoming, but I stayed. I ordered the empanadas (I got both chicken and beef but beef was definitely my favorite of the two) and a Cinnamon French Toast Latte with an extra shot of espresso. The latte was absolutely incredible! I got it iced and I drank every drop. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and packed so much flavor! The beef empanada was really good but the chicken was a bit dry inside to me. I usually don't order matcha out because it's so expensive and so rarely good but this was 10/10. The pricing was incredibly reasonable compared to most other coffee shops and the flavor was perfect. The color says it all. I'm only in town for work but I've already come to this shop multiple times. I loveeeeee this place! This is our 2nd time here in a couple of weeks and let me tell you, I haven't been disappointed. Well.. maybe with 2 things and that's the vanilla loaf bread being soooo dry and the lady who brought my food out the first time was rude. The coffee's quality is amazing. Had the sweet potato special for fall and the Christmas flight this time and both were soo good! My husband got the pistachio fall one and loved it last time. We got an everything bagel each last time and when the lady came out with plain, I just mentioned that it was supposed to be everything and she got very offended by that and was like well you need to specify when you order at the front that and I said yes I said that when I ordered and she said it didn't get told to her that way. Okay whatever, I'll eat the plain bagel it's fine... there just wasnt a need for all that. I got the bagel sandwich, flight and a vanilla loaf and my total was 30 bucks! First time here and I loved it! I ordered the cinnamon french toast latte with oat milk. It was very good! They also had other dairy-free milk options. The matcha latte looks amazing, definitely want to try that next time. They have vegetarian and vegan options available as well. I tried the breakfast croissant sandwich with egg and swiss cheese on my first visit. It was filling and tasted like it was made to order. I also grabbed a beautiful homemade pop tart which also happened to be vegan (dairy-free). Like what?! Vegan poptarts make me happy. The drinks and decor were so cute. I work remote and the environment was very inviting, making me want to stick around but I didn't have time that day. I'm super excited to come back the next time I visit Dallas! Parking looks like it can be a bit of a challenge though, so keep that in mind. Highly recommend if you're in the Downtown Dallas area. If you're in downtown Dallas, I highly recommend this friendly coffee and breakfast spot. The brewed coffee is excellent--some of the best I've had all year. I also tried the Rainforest Toast, and it was a tasty, filling way to start the day. The service really stood out. The greeter who took my order was kind, attentive, and efficient. Nice decorations inside the cafe, however the food is terrible here, we had empanadas, and everything bagel, and lattes. The lattes were okay, not that bad, empanada was very bad as it had very thick layer of pastry and very greasy, the chicken inside was very dry and also too tiny- almost there was no chicken. I come to Dallas periodically for work, and each time I've come to Berni Bean, it never disappoints! The staff are always friendly and the drinks are delicious. I appreciate that the syrups are made in-house. I've had the empanadas, the toast, and the bagel - all delicious (it's not often you are able to find great specialty lattes AND fulfilling hot breakfast food items). My favorite drink is the Bee Happy latte because of the pistachio - perfect amount of sweetness for me without tasting totally artificial. I was visiting from out of town and was initially very excited to try the berni bean latte due to the vibrant cute pink color seen in pictures/ social media videos. it looked nothing like it!!! just a dull pink foam on the top. Hands down the worst coffee shop ever to me. There were quite some new reviews seems fake to me, but I don't know, I could be wrong. Anyways I thought it's because of solar eclipse so they take 10mins in line to order and 30 mins to get the food or drinks. Many people had to come up to them couple times to check on their drinks and food. And I read other reviews that were posted couple weeks before the eclipse,they had the same problems for waiting for so long, and it's definitely not just because solar eclipse or tourism. When we finally got our coffee, it tasted like water down coffee, and it did not taste good at all. Like at all. Bagels were good but you can't really mess bagels up. So we should have a higher expectation than this. The location is cute, and love all the decors and props. The baristas were really nice. I was in Dallas for a mini girl's trip, and of course I was desperate for coffee after going two whole days without (lol), so I did what we Yelpers do and found Berni Bean. I absolutely loved Berni Bean's interior design with its bright colors and tropical beach decor and accents. They also have an assortment of seating options in the spacious shop, including small tables for one, longer communal tables, and a homey floor cushion setup in the corner. The resulting ambiance really blew my mind, so much so that I wished we had a Berni Bean here in LA. Just as important as the ambiance, the coffee was on point as well. Their menu includes a few creative drinks, so of course those were the ones I had to try. I enjoyed my French toast latte made with maple, vanilla, and cinnamon. But hands down my favorite drink here was the Bee Happy latte (pistachio & honey). The flavors were so subtle and delicate but still delicious - aptly named, it really is a cup of coffee filled with joy. Found this little gem of a coffee shop while wandering around the Dallas area. When we first walked in the door we were greeted immediately by very friendly baristas. The coffee shop has lots of fun colors, plants, and several various seating areas. There's booths for long study sessions and couches for lounging. I tried the Italiano latte which includes hazelnut, amaretto, and pistachio. This latte is on the sweeter side, perfect choice if you have a sweet tooth. I also tried the Cinnamon French toast latte which has flavors including vanilla, cinnamon, and maple. This latte wasn't as sweet as the first and was very rich in flavor.
