So nothing has really changed other than this place wasting my time and making me travel to have this done. I seem to have nothing but problems with this place. From the simplest of things like getting information sent to another doctor to the constant back and fourth to try to get a tooth out this whole process has been a big headache. I went in and had some other medical issues and ended up being cleared by too other doctors to find out that after I got the clearance that Dr. Milano still did not want to take out my wisdom teeth. I get being cautious but I've already been told by two other doctors that know more about my condition that I would be perfectly fine to have this done. So now I'm being sent to mass general in Boston for wisdom teeth to be removed. I was told I would get a call from the hospital to set up the appointment but after a week I decided to just call myself just to find out from the hospital that they never even sent anything to them. The staff called upon receiving the referral from my dentist to have the tooth removed to schedule an appointment proactively, and explained that they do not take insurance but will submit a claim on your behalf should you provide your insurance info. They provided an estimate that I thought was very reasonable, including IV sedation, and I knew my insurance deductible and coverage would probably not cover much. The dental assistant that worked with the Dr. was super kind and thorough. She gathered my husbands name and contact info, my pharmacy, allergies and other details and wrote them on a whiteboard in the room. All the details!
