The coffee, tea, and food choices are perfect. I grabbed an espresso shot and cinnamon roll to stay and an iced matcha latte to go. The espresso was nicely dialed in, the notes were present and the barista served it wonderfully. The cinnamon roll was warmed up and freshly iced before being served. I'm pretty sure the baristas remember my order better than I do. Here's what makes Reve worth the visit: - The coffee is legitimately phenomenal. They're all about quality over quantity, using science-based brewing and traditional standards to craft coffee that actually tastes like they care. Because they do. If instant gratification is your thing, Starbucks is down the street. If you want good coffee, you're in the right place. - The baristas actually know their stuff. They'll help you find exactly what you're looking for without making you feel clueless. Fair warning though: this is their coffee shop, and they're respectfully enthusiastic about doing things right. Treat them like the humans they are, and you'll have a genuinely great interaction. - The vibe hits different. It's cozy and intimate inside (compact in the best way), but if the weather's nice, the patio is where it's at--plenty of space, zero stress. Upon attempting to order a biscuit we were told they stopped serving biscuits. I am not sure as of this date, but at that time there was nothing on their site or menu that stated breakfast ended at 10:30. I get it, breakfast ended at 10:30, we got there afterwards. Being able to know that prior to arriving would have changed the time in which we chose to go. The woman working the register was very hard to hear. She had to repeat herself multiple times and even apologized for having a soft voice. The staffer was friendly however, we couldn't hear a word she said which caused confusion with our order. That leads me to the music. It was way too loud. I have hearing loss from how loud I like to listen to music however, not in a coffee shop full of other people who are also having to talk loud just to hear one another. The type of music was a little unique for a french style coffee shop as well. 2000's dance/hip/hop/pop is a certainly a choice. I expect that when I go to City Roots or CC's. However, for the atmosphere and size of the place I was expecting lofi, classical, instrumental or something else of that variety. I like the music they were playing, just not what was expected. The coffee was warm, not hot. The coffee was also not bold and I wouldn't have known they used beans from Reve Coffee Roasters. The coffee wasn't close to the coffee you can get at Reve Coffee Lab at Willow Grove. I am not sure if Le Reve uses a different roast or if it was the preparation. My Wife got a croissant, that she requested to be toasted/heated. When it arrived it had not been heated at all. Although, the flavor was good. I got a blueberry biscuit, which is not the same thing as their breakfast biscuits. This was more of a coffee cake style pastry. It was very good and I will definitely be back for it. We will give this place a second chance. I get it was opening weekend and some kinks may need to be worked out. However, next time if the coffee isn't hot, doesn't taste nearly as good as other local spots and the order isn't correct then we may stick to the other places we frequent.
