    Cafe au lait

So far, best coffee I've had in Baton Rouge. My drink (cafe au lait) was served hot and fresh. I also love the atmosphere of the shop. The front windows let in lots of natural light and the snake plants and pothos are also a nice touch. They also play soft jazz music which makes the atmosphere even more relaxing and inviting. It's a great place to work or read a book. College students, this is a great place to do homework!

Coffee was delicious, staff was friendly and nice. After my coffee was made he brought it over to me, and it's the little things that make service excellent in my opinion. Overall love the atmosphere here. Feels very homey, a great study spot.

I'm doing all I can to turn into one of those pretentious coffee snobs, so I have been making an effort to go to all the coffee shops in Baton Rouge to practice being a pretentious dingbat.I went to Coffee Joy ready to rant about textured foam caps and "earthy chocolate notes" or whatever, but the minute I sipped my cappuccino, all that BS leaked out of my ear holes. This place is so good and joyful. The espresso is great, the shop is cozy and quiet, and they nail the presentation. The dude behind the counter is always nice and quick. My biggest gripe is location, as I hate their parking lot and trying to maneuver around Perkins. The last time I visited, they had a flyer for a lamp making workshop they were hosting. I like that.

Avocado toast with microgreens! (And egg & tomato & aged Balsalmic). SO GOOD

Best espresso & cappuccino in town, bar none. Great people. Small offering of high quality food made with care. I hope Coffee Joy remains an exceptional coffee house in Baton Rouge for many years to come!

After a little online recon of this business, I ascertained the owner is Turkish. Therefore, I ordered off-menu Turkish Coffee. If you've never had Turkish coffee, it's an experience guaranteed to send you bouncing off walls and dancing with its high caffeine content in a concentrated boost. Many get it with honey to soften the strength. Not me. I like flavor. This Turkish coffee is 100% authentic and perfectly prepared, the likes of which you're lucky to find anywhere outside of Turkey. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't bitter. The owner knows his coffee craft and is exceptional at producing perfect coffee. The shop is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking in Baton Rouge. Plenty of seating. A must if you're in search for great coffee!

Cute little place. The coffee was really good, wasn't wild about the bagel. Service was great, and lots of place to sit and relax or study

I stopped here on a road trip. I got a latte with cinnamon and spiced maple syrup, and it was excellent. The people who worked there were kind and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxing. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm happy I stopped here.

Coffee Joy is a small local coffee shop tucked into the strip mall located at the southeast corner of Perkins and Acadian. While it is pretty plain looking outside, it has a cozy and comfortable interior that is very welcoming. Of course, if you are coming here it is probably for the coffee. Their brew is top notch, with a stylish espresso machine front and center. I'm a latte sort of guy, and they have some excellent choices for me. I particularly like checking out the seasonal flavors listed by the register for a different taste from time to time. They also have baked goods in case you want a snack to go with your beverage. These range from the delicious to the decadent. These tasty treats are found displayed in a glass-fronted case to the right of the register. The seating is welcoming, including tables, easy chairs, and even some outdoor seating in front. Coffee Joy is everything one needs in a coffee shop, while remaining simple and focused on the core mission of delivering coffee products to their customers!

I ordered an almond milk latte with sugar free caramel for around $7. The service was quick. Great place to to work with plenty of outlets, fast internet, and the ambient music is not too loud. Did not try the food options but they offer bagel sandwiches, salads, waffles, and some cakes/muffins.

What a cute, quaint little coffee shop. It was really comfortable and inviting. I'll definitely be coming back again, to try different coffees and pastries that look amazing! The service was fantastic. But for the main event--the coffee. I had a dirty chai latte. It was super cute (don't think you'll get this kind of personal touch at a chain coffee shop). It was also amazingly potent (yay, caffeine!), aromatic and the chai tea had floral notes. I was able to get some work done and just really enjoyed my time spent there. If you're into the coffee shop scene, this one will not disappoint you.

And fish-shaped taiyaki or bunggeobang pastries that feature custard or red bean filling--warm and sweet with a crispy exterior. The ube cookies were the only items that didn't blow my mind as the ube flavor was lost amongst the food coloring and white chocolate chips. The ube ice cream however was solid, with a mild and lightly sweet earthy flavor similar to taro or matcha. 8/10 recommend especially if you've never had bingsu or ube. My favorite was definitely the fish-shaped pastries, a very impressive replication of the Asian street snacks sold in the wintertime.

I also got a custard stuffed taiyoki that isn't pictured and it was DELICIOUS just watch out for hot custard burns!
