They're all about quality over quantity, using science-based brewing and traditional standards to craft coffee that actually tastes like they care. Because they do. If instant gratification is your thing, Starbucks is down the street. If you want good coffee, you're in the right place. - The baristas actually know their stuff. They'll help you find exactly what you're looking for without making you feel clueless. Fair warning though: this is their coffee shop, and they're respectfully enthusiastic about doing things right. I've heard good things about this place. Their menu has a good variety of coffee options and specialties neatly laid on a clipboard. I wound up getting a cantina blue (espresso, milk, blueberry layer, and butter pea flower), which tasted pretty good to be honest. The bottom layer had a good blueberry taste to it. There isn't that much seating inside because it's a small interior and lots of students studying. At the back side of the coffee bar, there is some bar seating. With the circular seating at the tree, there is a row of outlets and some by the walls. However, if it's sunny and nice (not raining), I recommend sitting outside for a chat. read more

Tried Reve today. The inside is nice and welcoming. There was a line so I assumed everything would be awesome. Seeing that it's a "coffee lab" I was ready to smell the wonderful aroma of coffee beans making its way to a perfect cup. There wasn't a pronounced smell of coffee like most shops. After about a 10 minute line wait to reach the counter, I was greeted warmly by the front staff. Let me add, the wait time was only because it was packed with customers. I ordered an "off the menu" drink (it's not discontinued, it's just not in the menu any more.) the cashier smiled and says nice choice. I ordered the El Conquistador! I was interested in ordering a feta and spinach baked good but I'm not open to ordering or eating food that sits uncovered on the counter right next to where everyone passes and order! With that in mind, I ordered from behind the glass case for a baked good to accompany my coffee choice. I went with the "cake butter pop tart." First the cortado El Conquistador. It was beautiful but the coffee tasted burnt and it wasn't hot merely warm. The cinnamon wasn't truly pronounced and it was bitter but that's probably because the coffee was burnt. The "pop tart" was thick and crusty in texture when bitten and wasn't filled like most hand made pop tarts. It left much to desire. Overall, I'm not sure if I made the best choice with my order today. I was hoping for a quick reminder of my coffee choices as I've had in order locations but today, this coffee shop failed. Unfortunately my phone did not eat first but I have been here a handful of times throughout the years to study, meet up with friends, or just read a book! The vibes are excellent, especially after ~5pmish when it starts to get dark out because that's when the soft lighting inside turns on! I most recently got a hot crimson fog which is a black and blue tea and it was chef kiss! I love Reve for a slow morning! Not only do they have great iced lattes, the food is also delicious. I've enjoyed a variety of pastries and especially love their eggs in a basket and sausage biscuit (pictured). They also have seasonal drinks that make visits fun! I feel so grateful that Reve Coffee Lab is where I turned one of my friends into a London fog lover. I couldn't believe she'd never had one! We arrived on a cooler afternoon in Baton Rouge and wanted something cozy that would give us a little pick me up for our late afternoon to evening working session and a London Fog sounded perfect! Reve served up a delightful cup of creamy early grey milk tea with a hint of lavender that hit the spot. My only complaint was they were all sold out of pastries in the afternoon! This is the best Cappuchino in the city. The sister location to the Lafayette Lab, its the same delicious coffee and pastries. Third wave coffee place at its finest. If you go early in the morning, its perfect coffee ambiance. I become a different, more productive, more creative, and locked in version of myself when I'm sitting at Reve with a cappuchino and a croissant. Unfortunately, during its busy times, it is a sensory nightmare. So loud and tables feel right on top of each other. When its busy, there always seems to be about 40 yoga moms and I cant focus on my shit because I want to know more about Janet's divorce (I'm nosey and like to know the scoop.) I truly love Reve. Every time I go to Baton Rouge I always stop at this wonderful coffee shop. The vibes are great, a mix between a modern and old-style coffee house. An adorable coffee shop that gets an A+++ in the aesthetically pleasing category! I love how bright and open this coffee shop is, and the fact that they sell coffee and alcohol! It boasts an urban style interior with outside seating. The establishment was bustling, which speaks volumes about their business. We ordered two lattes and Salted Honey Buttered Croissants. The initial taste of the Chocolate Latte was like a sweet hug without being clingy, whereas the Lavender Cappuccino was like that one aunt who just won't quit being bitter. But then a bitter note like a grumpy old man snuck up on the Chocolate Latte, like a party crasher, and ruined the vibe. The pretty golden brown croissants we requested to be warm came cool as a cucumber, or should I say Cool Hand Luke. Although they featured a pleasant honey butter glaze, it was washed out by the salt sprinkled on top. And let's get real, the texture was a total giveaway - it was like they took a can of Pillsbury bread, rolled it up, and pretended it was a croissant. I mean, where were the nice layers and flaky goodness? I tell you no where to be found. It basically was unarmed with warmth, heavy, bready imposter, but hey, at least it was edible, and that's a plus, right? Was it a bad experience? I went in for a pour-over and when the barista decided to stop looking right through me and take my order, imagine my surprise when they make it with a machine. They have plentiful coffee and teas including a bunch of yummy looking bites. The service was super quick considering that this place stays packed with costumers. I had a cappuccino and a cinnamon bun with espresso glaze. Both were super yummy!! We also had a latte with whipped cream, a latte, and an iced NOLA. I grabbed a honey butter croissant for the road as well. The staff were very friendly and chill even though it was pretty busy. The ambience is very nice. I love the colors and the open design. Many of the custom pastries take on a beautiful appearance in the display but when you taste them it leaves a lot to be desired. Example, the blueberry scones look incredible, like works of art, but that's all its good for. Just the visual. They have absolutely no flavor at all. It's like eating paper pulp with a tiny hint of blueberry. There is no detectable sweetness. Save the low calorie health vibes for yourself. When I have a pastry, it has to be sweet. That's why I purchased it. Also, the drip coffee is usually of poor flavor quality. Find a flavorful bean and stick with it. This is my first time coming here. Since there aren't really available seats inside I sat in their spacious outdoor area. The ambience is nice inside from what I can tell and on good weather days it's also nice outside! A good spot to chill and get something done or have a quick bite. There are two large tables out back with an outlet and extension cord, so you can sit with up to 6 people or bring your laptop and get some work done! Nice and shaded. Inside is gorgeous with wooden chic decor. I love the tables and chairs and the coffee bar is beautiful! Coffee always comes out super smooth and yummy. I got the El Conquistador, a cortado with honey and cinnamon. Super yummy! Also got the sausage biscuit which is served on a Cajun biscuit. I loved the spice of the biscuit as well as the sausage. This is a nice Cajun flair on an otherwise typical breakfast menu item! Southwest burrito came with cheddar cheese, scrambled eggs and potatoes in a flour tortilla. It was sizable and delicious. Only thing missing was some sausage. It would be a good vegetarian option, if you prefer no meat. Got a special menu item that came with sausage, egg, and waffle one time and it was delicious! I don't think they serve this anymore, but it was beautifully infused with syrup. Would definitely recommend this option if they re-include this as a breakfast menu item again. This is such a fun coffee shop. It lives up to its name. I tried the crimson fog. If you like oat milk, this is a must try! It's definitely different from your ordinary latte and not too sweet. Leaving two stars because I know Rêve is more of a coffee place than a food place (and they have good coffee), but I just HAD to take off three starts for the BLT I got the other day. It was simply DISGUSTING. The worse I've ever had. Comparable to cafeteria/hospital food honestly. You may be thinking how does one mess up a BLT? That's exactly why I ordered it - thinking I was making a great decision for my lunch last Saturday. To start off, the bread was literally the kind of basic, lifeless, white bread you'd find on the bread aisle at Walmart. Already was bummed by just looking at that part right off the bat. But then the taste. So so so bad. The lettuce was so soggy!!!! And I added an egg to the sandwich, and the egg was even bad! I honestly should've just taken off the bacon and eaten it by itself but I didn't want to waste my money. Needed a place to study, thought of Reve's dreamy interior and decided to try it out again. Interior/vibe: 5 stars - still beautiful, clean, lots of seating indoor and outdoor with outlets spread out, reliable wifi. Food: 3 stars - avocado hummus toast with egg (~$10): my eyes thought it would taste amazing but unfortunately this one just wasn't really kickin it. Bread to topping ratio is really important to me for any toast and this bread was thick/dry. Definitely could have used more salt overall - thought maybe they just forgot to sprinkle some?? Just wasn't very tasty for its price tag :( - noticed they added more breakfast items though since my last review! (Did they hear me?? ) love businesses that grow! Drinks: 5 stars - added more drink items as well if I'm not mistaken. - Matcha Dew About Nothing (~$6): each sip starts with a refreshing cold soda/lemon hit followed by that familiar earthy pasty matcha aftertaste and texture. This place is a whole vibe. I literally been coming to this wonderful coffee shop since their day 1 of opening. The coffee, the people that work here, and the atmosphere is an experience you should come try. Their whole design in this place makes you feel like you're in mid-century/monochromatic aesthetic heaven! Their coffee is LITERALLY the best thing you'll sip between your lips. The biscuit was flaky and light. The sausage had the right hint of sage and sweetness. Yum! I'm not a huge raspberry fan but the raspberry cheesecake bar w/ Nutella drizzle was a hit. The tart w/ the hint of sweet was absolutely divine! My iced mocha latte was perfect, nothing needed to be added. This is a very popular spot in Village Plaza and for great reason! Parking was easy to find and ample amounts of spaces were available. The atmosphere is very cute. You can get some studying done, catch up with friends or just take a nice coffee break. There is a bit of a wait since it's is in a great location but there's plenty of seating if you want to eat indoors or enjoy some sunshine outdoors. I will absolutely be back soon! read more

There are things I miss quite a lot about the white star reve, but there are also lovely new things in this location that make up for it. I really appreciate that this coffee bar is similar to a cocktail bar in how they craft new coffee and tea drinks monthly for you to try. While it was available, the honey nut cheerio latte was so addictive I went out of my way to get it. I tried their new cereal relation concoction, Kiss from Arroz, and it was delicious. A cinnamon toast crunch rim on a glass is a stellar idea. All coffee is expensive nowadays but this is actually worth the price. read more

Reve has quickly become my go-to coffeeshop in the neighborhood. I am so glad we finally have a local coffeeshop in the area. They have definitely worked out some of their kinks from when they first opened. I love the unique coffee and tea drink choices and that they offer unique tea drinks for those who don't drink coffee. I highly recommend their Voodoo Elixir! It's a delicious coffee drink with cold brew, local honey, warm spices, and goat milk, but I recommend it with oat milk. I have gotten several of my friends addicted to this drink as well - it's a must have! Their seasonal drinks area always fun and unique as well. I can't wait to try the "Cereal Killer" soon. Another great thing about Reve is that it's a "full service" coffeeshop. You can visit early in the morning at 6:30, come for lunch, happy hour, or a nightcap. Their extended hours are super convenient for my work schedule. They even offer Sunday brunch now as well. I have been really enjoying their delicious pastries. For breakfast, I recommend the bacon/egg pastry. If you visit on a day when they have the brownie, you must get it! It's the fudgiest, most delicious brownie around. The environment is gorgeous. I love that they have indoor and outdoor seating options. It's a great place to study and enjoy a delicious drink and bite to eat. I always feel relaxed here even when I have to work!
