Can't say enough about Sergio at Sir G All Construction. My wife and I were looking for a contractor to replace our original fiberglass shower/tub combo and replace it with a large walk in shower. Sergio completed an estimate that we were happy with as it was very reasonable compared to other contractors. We showed him the layout/concept we were looking for and the end result was nothing short of awesome. This project was upstairs and care was taken to protect our flooring and stairs on the daily. Clean up was performed daily with minimal impact on daily living. UPDATE: So fews weeks after the reno, my lovely white quartz kitchen countertop kept on staining. I had read that quartz doesn't stain so I continued to call Sir G All to ask about exactly what type of quartz it was. After a while of going back and forth, and getting frustrated, they finally told me it was artificial marble and apologized. I had specifically asked for quartz so when Sergio gave me color options, I automatically thought they were all quality quartz so when I found out it was artifical marble, I was very upset. Eventually, I decided to let it go because I didn't want to deal with it anymore.. Cabinets - The cabinets aren't as sturdy as I was hoping they would be. Parts of them came off and I had to fix them. Pretty simple fixes, but annoying. We try not to put heavy items in some areas. Carpet: I should've known better and got quality carpet. You can tell the areas that are mostly walked on because the carpet lays flat. I'm guessing we might have to change it out in a couple of years... So for the most part, for me, it was mostly the quality of the materials used. Installation is fine but I should've researched better and chose my own quality materials instead of the options they were giving me. Also I had recommended Sir G All to my best friend. They had done a lot of renovations for them. Unfortunately, they had a really bad experience working with them. They had done a really bad job with the flooring for them and in some other areas. And after they had called Sergio out on it, his attitude had changed to being unpleasant to work with. I decided to update it to 4 stars. Even with those above cons, overall, Sir G All did so much to the house and overall I am happy with how it turned out. I feel horrible about my friends experience and I do agree that in the beginning they are super easy to talk to and great to work with. But after, can be very unpleasant to work with. Like any first time home owner the first thing you want to do is out with the old and in with the new. I wanted to remodel my bathroom and kitchen to give my house a face lift. James goes above and beyond to keep me updated on the project and continues surpass my expectations. The overall experience with Sir G All has been great. We were looking to upgrade our 2 70's style bathrooms and after searching Yelp, stumbled upon Sir G All. I also received estimates from 3 other Contractors found on Yelp and I went with Sir G All because of their professionalism and tradesmanship, customer service, communication and value. If first impressions are indicators of a good business, then no wonder I was satisfied with them. They were all super easy to work with starting from the office staff who scheduled and emailed my estimates, to Sergio and his team, and I would definitely recommend and use this business again and again. We had Alex and Chava assigned to our project and from the beginning Sergio let us know that the same 2 guys would be at our home ready to work at 8am everyday and he emphasized that it was important we were happy with their work. He often checked in to see how things were going and also encouraged our feedback. Both Alex and Chava did the same and each day asked if we had any questions or concerns and also asked for our input on things. Have you ever had a contractor do that? Wow! They won our respect with that. In addition they were very fast at completing the job and completed both bathrooms 3 days early! Super cool since I only had a week off from work. As far as their craft/tradesmanship I must say that we were extremely satisfied with the quality of their work. They painted and tiled our bathrooms in addition to installing new toilets, vanity, lighting, mirrors, and countertops. 1 of the countertops was a piece of quartz slab we had leftover from our kitchen project which they fabricated for 1 of the bathrooms. They unexpectedly also had to move plumbing in order to accommodate the vanities in both bathrooms. And when all was said and done also offerred to update our light switches since we still had the old flip switches from the 70's. I am a pretty picky person and at the end of each day when we would check their work, there wasn't much for me to say because they always thought ahead and took care of every detail. Speaking of details something else I liked is they respected our home and cleaned up every day and kept our home as clean and tidy as can be. As far as value, I feel they were very reasonable and competitive with their pricing. While their bid did not turn out to be the lowest, in the end the positives of working with them and their quality work outweighed everything else. This review is over due. My wife and I contacted Sir G All after many meetings and quotes from various contractors. Sergio was one of the contractors who stuck out. His honesty about the amount of work and cost associated gave my wife and I a reality check of the magnitude of work we were about to start and comfort knowing we weren't promised the moon and not have it delivered. We contracted Sir G All to do a major remodel which consisted of knocking down down five walls to create an open floor plan, bathroom remodel, kitchen remodel, hardwood floor installation, fireplace makeover, painting, electrical panel upgrade, and tankless water heater install. Sir G All had a project manager named Hector who dealt with the day to day supervision. He was great to work with. Their employees all wore a uniform shirt, and because my family was living through the remodel their employees made every effort to keep the work area clean. I used a subcontractor for a custom iron banister and Sir G All was very professional working with other contractors. Hector and Sergio had great rapport with the city inspector and kept us up to date on the project. Whenever my wife and I had any issues with the workmanship or wanted something changed Sergio was quick to resolve any issue or offer alternatives and cost saving suggestions. Janina is the office contact who deals with contract compliance and payment schedule. She is easy to work with, but sometimes needed reminders on work order changes. Great person answering the phone, great people heading out to me, etc. Lately, I have had a variety of issues with them. I have continually asked for a quote to have some painting done and have not gotten replies. I have called to leave messages only to find their voicemail full. I also got charged a very large amount of money for 3 hours of work. Even the person who was sent out to do the work questioned it. Upon questioning them about it they sent me a check for $100. The work also had issues but to their credit they sent someone back the next day. I contacted them for additional work and told them I would rather give them more business and they could apply a $100 a discount to it vs sending me a check. In the process of explaining this, the new person answering the phone accused me of hanging up on her as well as not picking up the phone. I live near the hills. Cell phone calls get cut off often. Also, why in the world would I hang up on someone I contacted during the weekend about additional work? I am still absolutely stunned with the way I was spoken to and even accused by this person. I have a lot of respect for Sergio and the work he personally does. However. I am currently finding every single protocol of theirs to not be customer focused. A rude person at the phones, a voicemail that has been full for weeks, work that is not at the level it used to be, etc. I wish them the best, but, no matter how good the work, the process and possible results or working with them is now night and day to my post back in 2014. read more

However, we needed to have our close door installed, fireplace door installed, and our 60" TV mount above the fireplace and I wasn't about to do that myself. Unprofessional! Upon my neighbor's recommendation, I gave Sergio a call for a whole house remodel bid. First, I had to wait a week to schedule a time to meet with him because he was on another job. Understandable, no problem. Secondly, after we finally did meet, we walked the property, he listened to my requests, took measurements and asked for another week to provide the quote. I said fine, but considering the other contractors only took a couple of days to provide a quote, I was a little annoyed, but waited nonetheless. After a week went by, I texted him to inquire as to the ETA of the quote...no response. I had to move on. Needless to say it's been over a month, and still no response or quote. It upsets me that my project is behind schedule because I wasted 2 weeks giving this guy the benefit of the doubt. I guess the fact that he showed up at the wrong address to begin with and I had to text him because he was 10 minutes late to our first meeting, should have been a clear indication how things were going to go from there. My wife is 8 1/2 months pregnant and there was some last minute jobs she wanted done on top of many other small projects I needed help to complete before the baby was born. Jobs was to install laminate floors in living room, install base boards in living room and 3 rooms, run 2 electrical leads to breaker box and install and install plugs in the nursery. Needed a doggy door installed. Communication was great. They initially had to reschedule my appointment due to an emergency but called me a few hours later and asked if it was okay if they still came by today. "OF COURSE!!!".
