I decided to give a call, so Brian came over for my estimate and was so willing to work with me because I am very particular but he was not bothered by any of my questions, demands and additional grout services needed at the edge of all my baseboards and even my granite counter back splash . We were able to make an appointment quickly for Brian to come to the house to provide a quote. We had gotten three quotes but didn't feel like the other two companies were quoting our square footage accurately. Brian was professional and flexible with scheduling. The team who came out did a great job on our travertine floor (throughout most of the house). Brady is quite knowledgeable about travertine and the care needed so we learned how to best care for our floors between services. The team cleaned all of our tile and hand scrubbed the grout lines before sealing everything. They also filled in some holes that needed additional grout. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the hoses they used kept hitting the corners of my walls and baseboards which I had to clean when they were gone. I also needed to clean overspray off the baseboards and my bottom cabinets/kick plates in the baths and kitchen. Hard not to have that with the machines they use. I gave this feedback directly to Brian and he was quite receptive to hearing my suggestions for even better service in the future. This is my first Yelp review. I have used Yelp a lot over the past few years and been really happy with the companies I have found. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with Sir Grout and felt compelled to share it. When remodeling our home three years ago, I selected black and white tile for our laundry room with a white grout. The entrance to our home from the garage is through our laundry room, so it is a high traffic area. Choosing a white tile and especially a white grout was not a good choice. The grout has gotten very stained in three years. I contacted Sir Grout to "color" the grout black (as the tile was shown with either black or white grout when I purchased it). Brian, the owner, came out and said that the grout could be colored black and gave a bid. It was reasonable so I moved forward. The appointment was scheduled for three days later. What was never explained to me is that apparently 95% of the time, the grout coloring process works. (Not 100%. of the time.) Fast forward to the appointment, where I'm sitting in my office next to the laundry room working and I can hear the Sir Grout employee on the phone saying it isn't working, the color isn't taking. I quickly got up only to find that, no the staining process wasn't working AND the Sir Grout employee started the staining process right in the middle of the doorway in a very visible area. I looked at him and said, "You ruined my floor." He was very apologetic and then told me that 95% of the time, the color staining process works fine. Again, this information would have been nice to know ahead of time. He quickly cleaned everything up and was on his way and obviously didn't charge me. I was left with a laundry room floor that looked worse than before they started and now I absolutely have to replace the tile floor. The Sir Grout employee said that Brian would call me but he never did. I understand that sometimes the product doesn't work. My biggest issue is that if there is even a 1% chance it won't take, work with the homeowner to identify an inconspicuous spot to try it out. Don't start in the doorway. This was a laundry room and had I known that it may not have worked, I would have asked him to try the spot where the washer and dryer normally sit as it would have been covered up. And when you ruin someone's floor, follow up with them like you say you are going to. I'm sharing my experience only so others don't have the same thing happen. We were looking to have 10 year old stone floors cleaned and sealed. When I first got the quote I thought it was a little high but after checking around it was right in line. Brian did an excellent job. Unfortunately, the sealing process brought out some old carpet tape marks on the stone that the previous seller had left. We were very stressed and Bryan came back out personally to do some extra works on the marks. While it wasn't perfect, we were satisfied with the overall job. I found this company in a flyer that offered tile and grout cleaning and if the job was over $500.00 free cleaning and sealing of granite counter tops would be included. My job cost $757.00. I was a bit shocked as I thought that was high but considered the cleaning, grout sealing, repair/or replace 2 cracked tiles, if replaced an additional $150.00 would be added to my bill. Great initial contact. Brian came to my home did a quick look around gave me a quote and left. The service tech came Thursday as scheduled. Very polite and a good worker. I asked several time about missing, what I thought was grout, from edge of base board and tile floor. Finally I got the answer it was caulked and not grout. I was still under the impression, now caulking, would be included to provide a finished appearance as the missing caulk was one of the reasons I wanted the job completed. The tech told me it would be "$20.00" to caulk the perimeters. I agreed to have it completed. I did not require the cracked tiles to be replaced as the crack repair was nice. The tech finishes and informs me Brian will contact me for payment. When Brian called he informed the caulking job would offset the charge for the tile replacement, $150.00. I told him his tech told me $20.00. To his obvious disbelief, he questioned me several times about the $20.00 fee and said the job was more costly to perform and would I settle for half of the tile replacement charge of $75.00. My tile cleaning job is now $862.00! PLUS... NO GRANITE COUNTERTOP CLEANING AND SEALING WAS COMPLETED. My house is a little over 1600 square feet and the floors are half tile and half laminate. Brian should have noted the missing areas of caulk along the baseboards and informed me of additional costs associated with filling open gaps. I can't say the floors look a great deal better, the gaps filled with caulking at least make the floors look better aesthetically. Will NEVER have them done again at that cost. Plus his lack of fulfilling his ad's commitment to clean and seal my granite countertops would definitely prevent any recommendation from me. read more

I got a quote from Sir Grout in 2015 but went with another company. I called that company back at the time to redo some areas. I could have called then back a third to make it right. When it was time to clean and seal again, Sir Grout came to mind. I gave Brian a call ( the owner) to set service. I received a confirmation call from Brian a week prior and an arrival call from Juan, the service tech. Juan inspected the work that needed to be done then gave me a copy of the work order prior to starting the job which was appreciated. I was able to read it over as he began work. I received tile/grout, granite and kitchen backsplash cleaning and sealing. A loose tile and missing grout was also repaired. The job done was very thorough. So I was back and forth for leaving a review and in the end I feel at least some of the story needs to be told. We have travertine tiles and there was a topical wax left from previous owners that needed to get stripped. Needless to say this was a tough job. There was some hick ups along the way, but the true character of the owner shined through.
