I've reviewed Papa John's several times... and I only get delivery... their store is in a really…read moreinconvenient place, but it doesn't stop them from making the best delivery pizza in town! I'm not sure if people eat in or not as I've never actually BEEN to their place, so I'm not one to ask about that... ... but if you want to know about the food I've had, the delivery people or the delivery times, then I can sure tell y'all ALL about those, and I've posted pics of every deeeee-licious thing I've ordered. I haven't had a single bad thing from my local Papa John's here in Shelbyville... the Pepperoni Stuffed Crust Pizza is mouth watering good and they don't skimp on ANYTHING. Their garlic dipping sauce is my addition... gotta have it for pizza, bread, whatever! It's THAT good! Their Ultimate Pepperoni pizza is pretty good, but I got spoiled by the stuffed crust... ... and the 10" cheese sticks is like a mega cheese pizza with seasoning in bread form... yum! I have to tell y'all that if you're having a chocolate craving, get the chocolate chip brownies, as they're loaded with chocolate and chips... and come all hot and gooey with just enough crisp edges for those of us who like 'em. The great thing about Papa John's is that the pizzas automatically come with a *FREE* garlic sauce, where other places would charge for it. Other things have a pizza dipping sauce, or again, the garlic dipping sauce. You also get a pepperoncini in the box to munch on. How cool is all this? (I have to say I always order extra of my favorite sauce because... why not?) This review is kinda like that Carl guy from the Caesar's betting app commercials, where he says "Hope that answered your question!" and no one had asked him one... but I hope this answered any y'all had, asked or not.

Our location has delicious pizza and cheese sticks. We haven't tried any other items. I normally…read moreplace my order via the app and by the time I get to Papa Johns my order is ready (and correct). The employees are friendly also.

I decided to make today my once a month cheat day, and this month got to be **PIZZA**, so I decided…read moreon Pizza Hut. I had gotten a flyer in my mailbox and the specials looked pretty good, but I wasn't about to go overboard on eating stuff I really didn't need to. (Darn it! ) I perused that before going online and deciding on the stuffed crust one topping for $12.99, which of course only comes in a LARGE size. I will be eating that thing for DAYS as it's a monster of a pie. Not complaining, but when one is on low carb it's a literal HUGE sin! Anyway, that glorious rascal got here exactly when they said it would, and my sweet little delivery guy rang the doorbell as I had requested on my order. He handed over a wonderfully *HOT* pizza with a bag containing the garlic dipping sauces I had ordered and he smiled himself away... Carrying the (for once) hot pizza into the kitchen and opening the box top, I had to go grab my iPhone to get a couple of pics (already posted) as it was one of the best looking pizzas I've seen... and to show the cheesy goodness inside the crust. I'm still trying to finish the second half of the second piece, as I cut the pieces in half in order to dip them in the garlic sauce container... and I AM MORE STUFFED THAN THE CRUST!!! I have done the * nom nom* to the point of bursting... and that's just two pieces! IT. IS. THAT. GOOD!!! Heck, don't listen to me. Go get ya some!

Isn't even square in shape at all. The meat looks like they threw a handful in the middle and slapped it in the oven. Sadly this is about the third time the pizza has looked like this. Such a shame.

The first time I ordered I wasn't able to use the website, and had to go in... and my initial review showed my delight with the young man who took my order and those who were also working; not to mention the cleanliness of the store AND the quality of my order. This review is about wanting to try the new "Crazy Calzony"... and although its appearance wasn't as pretty as the one on TV (eye roll) it was DEFINITELY full of flavor and LOTS of gooey cheese! Nothing was burned nor undercooked, plenty of sauce, and it was awesome the way the center is pizza slices and it has four corners of "calzone" that are slice in half for even more sharing. Genius... This is epic for those who have little ones who only want "a little bit" and don't want crust... hence the middle part. All in all this is the bomb for just a wee bit over $8... (most affordable pizza around)... AND I got to use the website AND the portal to pick it up! Just walked in, as I had received my message about when it would be done with my portal number and the code to scan with my iPhone. Held my iPhone under the scanner and opened door #2 , got my pizza box and *BAM* I was out of there! In and out in less than two minutes. Can't beat this, especially in this pandemic. Got the box home, took one calzone part and one little pizza part and dispersed the rest to neighbors for comments. All thumbs up!

I hadn't ordered from here in a couple of years... so I thought I'd give them another chance since…read morethey moved to their new building, hopefully with all new equipment. I ordered online for delivery, left a good tip and rounded up the total to benefit St. Jude's. I had set the delivery time for 6:30, as the app asked for a time... and asked for text updates. I asked for contactless delivery as well, with instructions to ring my doorbell and place the order on the doormat. The 6:30 delivery time comes and goes, but at 6:42 I get a text that "my driver James is on his way" with subsequent texts that "he's in the neighborhood" and "he's arrived" up to the point he sets off my Ring™ video doorbell. I see him place the order on the doormat, get the envelope off the door I had placed there with an additional $5 tip as the weather is just yucky, and bang on my door like the SWAT team was coming in instead of following the instructions to *RING DOORBELL* given when I placed the order. (I have a large and ornate sign under the doorbell stating orders are to be placed on the patio, and that the door and patio have wide angle cameras... meant for "regular" deliveries) I doubt from the *not happy* look on his face as he approached my door he didn't care one way or another, as his day must not have been a good one. I hope two tips instead of one helps a little bit... Anyway... I had ordered a Philly cheese steak, no mushrooms, and one of those bread twists with a dip. Got the garlic twists with the cheesy marinara... and wish I hadn't. The bread twists were the ONLY good thing out of the whole order. Let's start with the sandwich. I wish I had taken a pic of the awful thing before I performed "surgery" on it... as it was overcooked, and the first thing that came to mind was that ancient commercial where that funny old woman hollered "WHERE'S THE BEEF?!?" as there literally was so little steak on it I was stunned. Cheese was there. Bell pepper was there (that was tasty... about all I COULD taste) in a decent amount, and I deleted the mushrooms as I'm allergic, so I put a bunch of Heinz ketchup to cover the burned parts I couldn't remove. I cut off all the hard as rock bun parts... that was almost 1/3 if not more of the sandwich. Tried to eat the remaining part, and managed about 2/3 of that... but the cheese was gummy. Just. Couldn't. Could. NOT. The dip? Sounded good... but wasn't. I stirred it up for the second pic to show y'all. I'm not sure how to describe the taste. I'm part Italian, and if that's marinara under that cheese, I don't know who designated that. Maybe it's the cheese mixed in it. It's just a mess. A bland, blah, mess that does nothing to enhance the one redeeming thing out of this order... the garlic bread twists. Those things were GOOD. (LOL...Still tasting those rascals! But not in a bad way. At least I had a garlic dip from a competitor to use... it saved the day as I was out of MY marinara). I really don't like to give negative reviews, but if I have to, I have to. Unfortunately this is one of those times. I know I could file a "claim" or whatever they do, but since I don't plan on eating there again (this was my farewell to carbs, and what a one it was!) there's no point. At least James the delivery guy got a good tip, and I didn't consume as many carbs as I could have. It seems every time I have ordered from this place it's gone wrong. I'm glad other people don't have that problem... I know many who do, and some who don't. For me it's a definite NOPE.
