I live in Kauai half the year and have been very happy with working with other local businesses in the community. However, No Ka'oi was horrible and I will not only NOT try to do business with such flakey people again, I will make sure my island business partners know better than to use this place as well. I once needed a new deed when I moved property from personal ownership to a rental LLC. When I needed to move back into the LLC property she saved me a bundle by counseling me to give a long-term lease to myself so I could avoid title transfer from myself to, well, myself. ;-) I was still able to obtain the "homestead exemption" from Kauai County. However, if the person is evading, obviously they would not open the door. Save your money and find someone else that will do more to get it done. It's stressful enough to deal with your case. You shouldn't have to worry about the service part of it if you're already paying someone to do it. Also, if it's just door knocking, a regular mail man can do that for you if you pay for "certified mail" and that's going to cost you $15 at most. For three attempts, that's only $45.
