When she saw the case full of flavors, she lit up. McConnell's has a great selection, and she loved that you can get your ice cream in a cone, a cup, or her personal favorite; a cup with a cone on top. She chose a small cup of Sprinkle Cake with a sugar cone, and she was over the moon. The team working there was incredibly kind and patient with her, which made the experience even better. So obviously we had to get some. Verdict - yes, it absolutely was as good as I remembered. I wouldn't go back to DTLA just for ice cream, Long Beach Creamery being walking distance and wonderful, but I would absolutely stop here if I were back in DTLA and wanted ice cream. It's a bit pricey, but all craft ice cream is going to be, and it is definitely craft. And you can save a lot by getting a 3-scoop, which is very much enough to share for two people, if not slightly too much.
