My sister and I were looking for a raspado spot, and found this hole in the wall. It's amazing! The portions are huge, so be careful what you order. I used to like coming here back in the day, I hadn't been back here for a while. I ordered the usual vanilla, nuez and cajeta raspado but i realized they don't use the large ice cube they used to use like old school when they scrape it with a metal. Now they use a snow cone machine and it's just not the same, the raspado they have me had a big ass chunk of ice in the middle and it just wasn't the same. I was so disappointed. I also ordered a biónico and the yogurt was super sour almost felt like the yogurt was passed it's date. Usually biónicos are sweet and delicious. I ordered a nuez smoothie and she didn't ask what size and automatically gave me the large one. I will not be returning, it's so mainstream now reminds me of a michoacana :( read more

Best raspados ever. They have social distancing stickers on the floor. They require you to wear a mask. We went on a Monday afternoon and it was almost empty. I've been coming here for years, to be exact...I've been coming to get raspados since they sold drinking water as their main service and the raspados was a side item. I moved away and when I was in town, I would always come back for a nuez raspado. They have maintained the same good quality of their natural flavors for raspados. BEST raspados I've tried! I have tried the vanilla and guava flavors and also highly recommend. You can blend flavors, a good combo is vanilla and nuez for your raspado. On our last visit we ordered an agua nieve de limon, wow we were blown away by this tasty combination! Highly recommend for a fresh treat on a hot day. Good portions, although they switched cups and it seems they have less than before and prices went up a bit, but don't let that deter from giving them a try and making this your favorite raspado place. These older women workers don't greet you and make you feel as if you're a bother into the establishment. I've worked in customer service for 10+ plus years, and I know the feeling of dealing with guests every day gets overwhelming. BUT shouldn't be a reason to have a shitty attitude. I've come here a few times mainly for their raspados because they are so good!! The downside about this place is that it gets very crowded and while you are waiting inside it's so hot!! Even when it's a hot sunny day they won't have the AC on which is annoying. The good thing is that the line moves at a good pace. I feel that they are somewhat unorganized at times. Very delicious, fresh raspados. They have a snow cone ice crusher that they use and they pour the juice in it. It's freshly made and perfectly sweetened. You can also mix the flavors. We also tried the Papas Locas which are like Tostilocos using papitas. Their tostilocos are okay, aside from the cuerritos and the cucumber, they sell everything else separate (candy, peanuts, mango). Mangoneadas are good! Customer service: gets a 2 because it depends on the day you go, they can be nice or just simply give you the worst attitude. I have only tried the rapados from this place, since I have only been here a few times. But the rapados are really really good!!! The only, I guess, bad thing I have to say is if you come on a Sunday good luck finding parking in the parking lot. Because it gets packed AF on Sundays. Even though the parking lot is a reasonable size, just be prepared for that on the weekends. And like they have said in other reviews, you do have to wait in a long line sometimes on the weekend or when it is hot. But hey, it gives you more time on what you want to get. The outside of that whole plaza including the way the store looks from the outside is not appealing and I'm fact not a look that attracts you in..but once in its s typical Latin looking ice cream/ desert place. I visited this shop with high expectations, and I guess I can say not to bad given the circumstances. Raspados Don Manuel comes with an overwhelming amount of hype, which explains why I was anticipating a great deal. I tried the coco con nuez raspado and the tostilocos con mango. Both of which were good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The raspado had lots of nuez, which is a plus, that's about the only thing that sets it apart from some of the other raspado places I have tried. As for the tostilocos, I asked for them to hold the cueritos but I noticed they were missing an integral item. Apparently they don't add cacahuates japoneses. The mango was an unexpected treat though. Overall, this seems like a decent place to subside your sugary raspado cravings, or other Mexican snacks for that matter. Also, be aware that there could be long wait time during the weekends, especially in the summer. read more
