I cannot say enough great things about Sit Means Sit. From the moment we walked in for our first consultation, the staff impressed us with their professionalism, warmth, and genuine love for what they do. They have been knocking it out of the park ever since! Our little Miss Potato started in their puppy preschool program and has come such a long way. Watching her confidence and manners grow has been amazing. A very special shoutout to Ryan, who worked with her during her Board and Train. He was absolutely fantastic. You can tell how much he enjoys his job and cares about the dogs he trains. Miss Potato adores him, and we are so grateful for the time, patience, and skill he put into her training. If you're considering Sit Means Sit--do it. We couldn't be happier!

Sit means Sit and our trainer Michael genuinely transformed mine and my puppy Rufus's life! Before training, I felt overwhelmed and unsure how to communicate with him, but working with Michael changed everything! His patience, guidance, and confidence-building approach didn't just train my dog... it trained me too. Rufus is so much happier, more obedient, and more connected to me than ever. I can't thank Michael and the entire team at Sit means Sit enough for giving us the tools, structure, and trust to thrive together. 100/10 recommendations!!

Last January I adopted my dog Bella. A lady had to rehome her because she was so wild and destructive but I thought how bad can it be, she was so cute so she came home with us after begging from my two granddaughters. She had so much crazy energy, she ate my floor boards, jumped up on tables and furniture and tore up every bed , toy, and any shoes she could find. After a few months I realized I needed help so I contacted Sit means Sit and signed up for 10 day training program. We were so lucky to get Cat as her trainer and after the first week of training she was so much better and we could start to enjoy her but after the second time she went for training she was a completely different dog. She is now a real part of the family and her behavior is so much better and we're are so happy we found Sit Means Sit and of course Bella's trainer Cat. DiAnne T

My husband first found Sit Means Sit from walking by the Huntington Beach location. He then looked them up online and saw all the rave reviews. Making an orientation appointment for our 6wk old Malinois/Shepherd/Husky mix puppy was quick and easy. We met with JD who was personable, kind, and informative. With our dog being so young he suggested she attend the puppy class that was for free on Saturday mornings from 9-10a until she was older and able to train. We attended that class for about 10 weeks and decided that she responded to the center and trainers so well and we were ready to sign up. We were able to request Chris a trainer that we had met a few times in puppy class. We really loved his training style and his love for the puppies. We decided to do the board and train and Chris gave us video and text updates throughout the process. When he brought her back to us she was more grown up and listened so well. She still had her loving sassy personality and was eager to obey. We are so pleased with our experience so far and are eager to see what else our Harley can learn. Thank you to all the staff from the front desk and trainers that we have encountered.

We took our 4-year-old Athena (pitbull mix) to Sit Means Sit. Before attending the 10-day boarding Athena was super reactive to other dogs and had a hard time walking on a leash, staying focused, and completing commands. Athena finished her boarding in Early December and we have seen a great improvement. She is way better around other dogs and on walks. She is improving in following commands and walking on a leash. She's been doing great in our one-on-one training and moving on to groups soon! The staff have been amazing. Super nice, patient, and super accommodating. Each time we've visited the facility Athena remembers the staff and gets excited to see them. Overall a great experience so far and we can't wait to continue training with Sit Means Sit.

I cant say enough how thankful I am for this place. I have a now 1 year old American Bully/ pittie who is 110 lbs!! I was becoming more and more frustrated because with the puppy energy level and his strength/ weight, I couldn't take him on successful walks. He was dragging me around like a rag doll. Meeting people and other dogs were scary because he would jump all over them and knock them over. He is the sweetest boy but having 100 pound pittie running toward you could be scary. After taking him to sit means sit, I've been able to take him everywhere. THIS is a different dog!! he was in the ten-day boarding program, and I received videos almost every day of his progress, and even after day one I saw alot of progress. To see him walk, side-by-side with his trainer Bryden blew my mind!! After a week he was off leash at a park! When we walk, he walks on my left side and at my pace. He has not jumped on one person when greeting, or got overly hyper with any dog. Christmas was so enjoyable, my whole family was so happy to not get jumped on and greeted by such a respectful dog. This place is the real deal!

Earlier this month I scheduled a consultation for my dog. I talked on the phone to Nan, who was extremely helpful, and she helped me set an appointment so both my boyfriend and I could be present for the consultation. I was scheduled for an at home consultation on Tuesday Oct 22, and received my confirmation text from Alex on Oct 20. On Tuesday night, my appointment time came and went with a no call no show. We called and were told "Oh I don't normally do home consultations my boss has been scheduling me." They did try to reschedule our consultation during the phone call, but we will take our business elsewhere. Super bummed; the Yelp reviews I had seen previously were very positive. Unfortunately my experience was not.

I'd worked with two trainers, including a 3 week board-and-train program ($5,000 investment), followed every instruction, and practiced daily, yet I didn't see changes. I was managing the behavior without ever understanding what was causing it. That changed within the first two hours with Brad. He didn't start with commands or tools. Instead, he focused on the psychology behind Sunny's reactions: what was driving them, what was reinforcing them, and what I was unknowingly communicating. No one had ever explained it that clearly. That was the turning point. For the first time, I wasn't guessing or correcting blindly. I could see what Sunny was experiencing in real time and understand how my timing, energy, and responses were shaping his behavior. That clarity changed everything. Walks feel completely different now. Sunny is no longer pulls since my training with Brad, the reactive outbursts are gone, and the experience itself is calm. I'm no longer bracing for problems because I know how to prevent them. I am SO appreciative!

A couple of these weren't terribly serious, but we felt we weren't "in charge" anymore, that our dog wasn't getting the message from whatever we were doing, and that if we didn't do something different, it could really get out of control. Brad really helped us with this, where traditional "training" wasn't working. We have two or three things we're working on with our girl, but here is the most dramatic change we had with one issue. She is very food motivated, and would beg from us at the table whenever we sat down to eat, and would be underfoot in the kitchen during prep. She got overly excited and would not settle and lie down. Brad explained we weren't communicating well with her on a dog level, so to get that communication kicked in to gear, he actually started our session not with this problem, but with making sure she would not dash out the front door when it was opened. This was to establish that we were in charge and what was expected of her. What he showed us how to do worked like you wouldn't believe. It was like a light bulb went off for our girl. What we did affected everything after that. It wasn't about dashing out the door, it wasn't about begging for food, it was about knowing what was acceptable in our pack and to look to us for direction. That night, at dinner, she went to her "spot" with a simple direction and was relaxed during our entire meal. She can now be directed to her spot and will stay quietly any time we need her to. Best of all, she seems truly relieved that she doesn't have to be in charge and that WE are. She is much more relaxed around so many other things. It gave us so much more confidence! I didn't think that what Brad taught us would work. It's quite counterintuitive. But trust me, it worked like magic. This is not dog training - it's communication with your dog. Brad answers all your questions, doesn't waste your time, shows you clearly and directly what will work. We're so thankful we found him!

What sets Vladae apart is that he doesn't just train dogs, he teaches owners how to build a lifelong relationship with them. Every lesson leaves us with practical tools, clear direction, and the confidence to continue the training every single day. Because of that, the progress doesn't stop when the session ends. Vladae has an incredible ability to understand dogs. Watching him read a dog's behavior, body language, and mindset is genuinely fascinating. He knows exactly how to communicate with each dog in a way they understand, and it's clear this comes from years of experience and a deep understanding of canine psychology. He's also one of the most invested professionals we've ever worked with. Throughout the week, he encourages us to send videos, provides thoughtful feedback almost immediately, and is always available to answer questions or jump on a call if we need guidance. You never feel like you're figuring things out on your own. He truly cares about both the dogs and the people raising them, and he always follows through. Every recommendation Vladae has made, whether it's training tools, techniques, or daily routines, has become an essential part of Coach's development. We trusted the process from day one, and the results truly speak for themselves. (See the videos! Coach is only 6.5 months old in them.) Our puppy is happy, confident, well-mannered, and genuinely loves learning. We receive compliments on his behavior everywhere we go, and we owe so much of that to the foundation Vladae helped us build. We also had the opportunity to work with Erica, who trains alongside Vladae, and she was absolutely wonderful. One session with Erica is included in the program, and it was incredibly helpful. It's clear she shares the same passion, knowledge, and dedication that make this training program so special. Vladae brings unmatched energy, professionalism, and passion to every session. He genuinely wants every dog and every owner to succeed, and that level of commitment is incredibly rare to find. If you're looking for a trainer who truly understands dogs and is committed to setting both you and your dog up for long-term success, I can't recommend Vladae highly enough. Coach has become an incredible puppy, and we're excited to continue into adult school because of the foundation he's helped us build. We're so grateful we found him!

She would bark at everyone and everything, and was just SO anxious and nervous (understandably) in public. Other trainers we looked into wanted to use shock collars and other more aggressive forms of discipline on her, but I knew Patty didn't need more trauma to help her calm down. Bryndon, on the other hand, was patient, kind, and used treats and other strategies to help Patty gradually feel comfortable on walks. When he got her to go into a dog park - WITH NO LEASH - I was literally speechless (in a good way!). I never thought that would be an option for Patty, but here she was going up to other dogs and walking around without growling, barking, or lunging at them. After 4-5 weeks of training, I'm now able to take Patty to a dog park on my own, off leash, and she actually PLAYS with other dogs all on her own! I literally teared up the first time I saw her running and playing with other dogs; this was something I never thought would happen because so many other people and trainers told me that Patty would probably always be aggressive and scared. Now, she loves dog parks and I'm planning on enrolling her in agility classes in the future - just like Bryndon said would be a possibility one day. I cannot praise him enough. Trust him with your dog because he will take help them through patience, kind words, and care, and not through fear, pain, or aggression, which our dogs don't deserve.

I searched around extensively and contacted a few different trainers and specialists, but remained skeptical (worried about finding someone good enough to handle Maya). However, I finally managed to come across Bryndon who seemed to fit the bill perfectly. Within minutes of the first introductory session, I could tell Bryndon knew exactly what he was doing and gave me the confidence that I had made the right choice. He experienced first-hand what Maya's reactivity was like, and yet by the end of the first introductory session, he already managed to showcase how we could help her improve. I knew that her issues were bad enough that it would take a very long time for her to get better, but to my surprise she showed massive improvements literally within the first few sessions. Most importantly, he showed and taught me what I needed to do to help guide her along, which was my biggest worry. We've both learned a lot (and got to learn a lot of tricks along the way lol). I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have chosen him as Maya's trainer. He listens to your needs and concerns and actually addresses them, is extremely well informed, and gives you and your dog the confidence they need to be better. He has a good mentality towards training dogs and utilizes positive reinforcement to help correct the source of issues rather than training that only serves to suppress and hide the bad behaviors/triggers. I don't say this lightly, but I cannot recommend Bryndon enough! If you are someone like me who was both highly skeptical and unsure, try meeting him for an intro, he is very approachable and friendly, and is genuinely honest enough to tell you if he's the right fit or not. Thank you Bryndon!!!
