I brought Cane Corso 7 month puppy for the board and train 2 week program because he's huge and just needed basic training. And WOW! what a huge difference he turned out. Delaney is an amazing trainer! All the staff members are friendly and very informative! Board & train includes 2 follow up and you can even include your kids. They also sent us a video of everything he learned in the program! I will definitely bring him back if needed. I highly recommend this place. So worth it!!

First day home and laid in her kennel all by herself.

I did the 3-week board & train for my Charlie girl. She's a 9 month old pure bread beagle, her snout is always down and looking to get into anything she can. 3 weeks was really hard for me to be away from her, but I knew it would be so good in the long run. Her trainer Russ just adored her and they call him the beagle whisperer - which, after my hour training with him when I picked her up, I find that to be true! He was so good with her and when I texted him for an update, he responded with pictures and videos. She's been home since Tuesday, 7/19 and we're continuing training everyday, she's doing well and trying to reacclimate to home. She's listening to her commands and doing so much better on the leash. Russ, thank you for loving on her and being the best trainer ever! You took your time with me and I'll forever be grateful. I highly recommend It's A Dog's World K-9 Academy and if you have a beagle, Russ is your guy! Ps. Charlie says thank you as well, Russ - she enjoyed her time with you!

It's a pleasure taking Mattie on a walk after she has been trained.

I was researching various dog training places and came across It's A Dog's World. The place got my attention for their staff of certified professional dog trainers. We scheduled a complimentary visit last December and Deb the head trainer met our (at the time) 3-month old cattle/shepherd pup, Mattie. We were given information on the various programs offered and how boarding works and their costs. When Mattie was 6 months, we ultimately chose the board and train program. We felt it would address Mattie's separation anxiety as well as socialize her more with people and other dogs. We were sad to leave her there. We trusted leaving our Mattie in Deb's hands. Deb clearly showed us that she knew what was best for Mattie and that she cared about Mattie. We could contact Deb via text for any updates and pics of Mattie. We could call the boarding facility (which is a separate business, but they work in conjunction with It's A Dog's World) everyday to check up on our Mattie. When Mattie returned to our home, she was a calmer and more responsive dog. We had to continue her training at home so she understood what was taught at It's A Dog's World also applied at home. Previous to training, Mattie was very mouthy, constantly jumping on us, and pulling on the leash. Now, she isn't mouthy, tries her darned-est not to jump on us (that cattle breed nature is strong in her) and is a joy to walk on leash because she knows how to heel! I am planning to enroll Mattie in their agility program (for this dog needs lots of mental stimulation and physical exercise!) Looking forward to that next step!

Huckleberry with his favorite trainer in the world! We love Danielle! She has whipped him into shape so quickly.

Huck was a crazy boy before he went through the 3 week board and train here. He was trained by Danielle and he is so well behaved now. He passed basic obedience and will be continuing here in group classes. They include at home follow ups which have been super helpful. Huck did his first group lesson today and killed it! So proud of him and have high hopes for the future and now in my training skills too!

Practicing our loose leash walk! Mylos doing awesome with walking by my side, just need to polish up on less pulling (which is subtle)

I initially brought my dog here for puppy kindergarten classes with Chris. This class offered a lot of tips on how to raise and teach your young puppy obedience. It was great but we felt that our little GSD pit mix needed more help as he was becoming stubborn and extremely nippy (scarier than your normal aww my pup is just biting my finger) around 5 months. My pup Mylo was so stubborn that we couldn't get him to leave the couches and our legs alone even when he was just 40 pounds. He would jump for my arms during walks and pull like hell. It became overwhelming so we took him to a board and train consultation with Deborah N. in October. We decided to go through with the 4-week board & train program with Deb as Mylo's trainer. Fast forward to thanksgiving week, Mylo came back home a well trained dog! His commands were so on point that he knew what to do. Loose leash walking is still in progress but Mylo is so much easier to walk since he trained with Deb. The two bonded and worked so well with each other that Deb even admitted that it was a hard to see Mylo go at the end of his stay. There were and still are some hurdles that we have to overcome even after Mylo's time at board & train. But the purpose of board and train programs is to lay down the groundwork for your Dog's skill set. It's on us to maintain and polish them! I feel like me and family's money was well spent as I was finishing my last semester of college and everyone was working from home at the time. We couldn't spare the time to train Mylo when it was one of the most important time to his development. We couldn't thank Deb enough for being an awesome trainer to Mylo, she's been there for us whenever we call for clarification on some behaviors that will show up in Mylo and incredibly helpful. I also want to say that Debora G (the receptionist) is incredibly helpful as well. She helped us reschedule Mylo's basic obedience class since he could no longer attend the class since he was scheduled for surgery in the middle of it. This facility is great whether you choose to just take your dog to a class or board & train. I would and have recommended this facility to any dog parent.

It's a Dogs world is the best you will find. From my initial call to our last visit I knew these people knew what they were talking about but more importantly genuinely wanted to help. We went in needing help with crate training and in 3 days boom he was crate trained, we were truly amazed. They even went out of their way to suggest a crate and found websites we could get a good deal for it. Training is top notch People are amazing Pricing fair and worth every penny Thank you all

This review is for Delaney! I rescued my corgi/shiba in December 2022. I've never rescued a dog before so this is the first time I've ever encountered this. My previous dog (she passed away last October) was not a rescue so the dynamic was different. My dog's name is Bolt. He had many issues. I'm assuming it was relating to his trauma, and I can't blame him. Long story short; he never listened to me...at all. Doesn't know anything aside from being potty trained. He's very stubborn and very set in his ways. I needed extra help and I already bring him to their kennel whenever I'm on vacation, so I decided to check out it's a dogs world. Delaney was his trainer. She has worked WONDERS! It's almost like magic. I did the 3 week board & train program. He knows sit, down (this one is a crowd favorite!!) place, stay, heel, wait, come, and break. Delaney was extremely patient when I went to pick bolt up. She taught me everything I needed to know and answered any of my questions and concerns that I had. I can also tell that her and bolt built a bond. It was really nice to know that bolt opened up to her. Delaney sent me home with some "homework" to work with. It's a long journey ahead but never in my life would I have imagined to have him listen to me, ever. He does not tug when we walk anymore. It was an absolute nightmare to walk him before taking him here!! Now, Dogs and children passed by bolt and he did not react! I've never seen that happen in my life. You HAVE to keep up with the training though in order for it to work. I love having training sessions with mine. It brings us closer :) I can't wait till it comes to a point where he knows all his commands confidently! Which i'm confident that he will. Thank you it's a dog's world and Delaney!! Y'all are a life saver and I 10/10 recommend !!!! PS. Best believe y'all will see me for my 4 field sessions LOL i might need some help down the road hehe

Great, caring place for your pets. Our dog spent with them many weeks. Deb and Russ took a great care of him. Upon arrival to pick Bentley up, we were greeted by the crew and shown videos from training sessions. Then it was time to reunite with Bentley. We found him happy and energetic; he gave us all lots of kisses. Russ spent lots of time with us and Bentley explaining how we can continue working with our dog at home. We are so thankful to all the caring people who work there and make sure that your pets are happy and safe while staying at K-9. Just want to mention that our dog is 8 years old and besides his age, Russ was able to train him. Great place, great people. A+++ to K-9. Was this review ...?

Shiloh met her match! We got Shiloh at 6 weeks old. She's our 3rd Border Collie and though we've trained many dogs in the past, between having an 82-year-old mother Sonja who lives with us now, and then Sonja having a stroke 2 months later, the time constraints now on us became monumental, safety became a concern, so everything was a bit exasperating. After speaking with Karen and hearing in her voice, the calm level of professionalism and concern, our decision was made for Shiloh to go through the Board and train program to fast track her training. Delany did an amazing job. I called Karen a week into it because we missed our little girl, and she talked me into staying the course. When we met with Delany to pick Shiloh up and get our training out briefing, my wife and I knew the time and money was well spent. Shiloh 'knows' all her basic commands now. Her reactivity is a small fraction of what it once was, and going on walks has become a pleasure again. We can't thank Karen, Delany and their team enough.

My golden retriever/American Labrador retriever mix, Oakley! 1 year, 7 mo

Oakley and I had such a wonderful experience! I signed my pup for the basic obedience training & board course for 3 weeks and we were blessed with matching up with our amazing trainer Deborah. You are first scheduled with a free consultation in where you bring your dog to the facility and are allowed the opportunity to meet with your trainer and go over the issues you are having when communicating to your pup. Oakley issues were: not performing commands on first request (he has already been taught to sit, down, and shake hands), couch surfing, constant pulling while walking, and reactive to other dogs. He was a sweetheart with people, but was often easily fixated on other dogs. I was able to schedule him for the three week training program with Deborah. I was able to voice all of my concerns, had time to explain and demonstrate the issues Oakley and I were having and she was able to demonstrate and provide solutions to correct. After your free consultation, you are scheduled for a drop off. Vinjon's Kennel is on the same property as the It's A Dog's World facility and I was able to collect all of the information from them and let my little buddy go on his training adventure. Oakley was going to be due for a booster of one of his vaccinations and luckily enough for me, they were having a clinic during his stay and offered me the option to have them administer the booster during his stay which helped so much! I missed him terribly! But Deborah was able to send me pictures of him enjoying his time there (seen in pictures attached). Finally the day came that I was able to bring my baby home! I almost cried... twice. Missed him so much, but it was amazing to see how much progress that was made. Deborah demonstrated all of his commands, on single-time requests: sit, down, stay, wait, place, break(free), and come. Just such a happy, confident, and tired (but good tired!) pup! She was able to demonstrate to me how we would correct jumping and how he can walk through a full kennel of other dogs with lots of distracting barks and he just walks right through without being alarmed. We went through the hour of training with Deborah, and it was so appreciated how she was invested and knowledgeable. After returning home, I was able to re-introduce him to home. Start the connection with his crate to "place", started the "wait" command when opening his crate, front and back doors, was able to enjoy time with him in the backyard without him constantly jumping on me, went on a nice pull-free walk. It's been such a delight. Thank you so much to everyone involved! Oakley and I appreciate all of the devotion and help! I am hoping to enroll him in the Service Dog training soon!

Well for the first time writing a review I wish I could give 100 stars!! I can't say enough good things about It's a Dog's World. From my first meeting I knew this was the right place. You can tell how much they love your dog. We had Dani as our trainer and she is FANTASTIC!!!!!!! Seriously the best balance of firm/get the job done and encouraging/loving. I just can not say enough good things about her. I'm sad our 3 weeks are over because we just loved her.... now as far as training. Our Elle Woods (shes a goldendoodle) is a completely different dog. She listens, she follows her commands, and more importantly we feel prepared and educated on how to continue this training because of Dani. I will say, we did have a private trainer come to our house prior- a different company, and our experience was nothing close to this one. I truly believe every dog owner needs to put their dog through training here- you will be shocked at how much less stress, chaos, craziness, you will be when your dog is trained- and you as the owner knows properly how to continue training at home. Seriously can not say enough good things!!!!!! A++++++++ ask for Dani!!! Tell her Elle Woods sent ya! You will not be sorry (and not we don't get a referral- we just adore Dani)

We brought our 5 month old German Shepherd here because he was showing signs of aggression towards other people and animals. He only liked being around our family. We kept our puppy here at the facility for one month to work one on one with Deb; who is simply amazing with these large aggressive dogs. She is a natural with them and he loves her so much now! We are now able to walk him past other dogs and take him on walks. He doesn't pull and walks are so much more enjoyable now. The time and effort and love that Deb showed our puppy was priceless and we are forever grateful to her.

When we started looking for a training program for Ruby last year, she was very dependent, anxious around other dogs, and struggled with listening to commands. Through a friend, we heard about Pack Pawsitive and were impressed with what was being taught here. When we were first introduced to the trainer Harmony, she was very kind and attentive and we knew she would make a difference in Ruby's learning experience. We loved reading through Ruby's report card at the end of each day and seeing what new things she learned! One of the best parts of Pack Pawsitive's programs is the digital resource library where we can refer to handouts and videos that throughly explained how we can continue to train Ruby at home. The in-person training sessions were also especially helpful, and Harmony was very insightful towards our questions and concerns. Seeing Ruby's growth week to week has been extremely rewarding and couldn't have been done without Harmony and the trainers at Pack Pawsitive. Ruby has become much more confident and focused, and has improved so much with socializing with other dogs. She learned new cues like recall, place, leave it, leash manners, and door manners which has made a great difference in our daily routines. With Ruby's newfound skills, we feel much more comfortable introducing her to new environments. Thank you to the team at Pack Pawsitive for providing a safe, caring, and of course positive learning environment for our pup! I can not express how much of an amazing trainer Ian is!…read more I have a dog, Deku, who had behavioral issues. Deku has been through a previous board and train, but I feel like that board and train mainly tackled his obedience, not his behavior issues. I let Ian know about all of this prior to boarding Deku and he made sure to explain his process with me. He also made me write down goals for Deku so that he can focus on them and make sure he tackled through them. I boarded Deku with Ian for 3 weeks and Ian made sure to send over progress pictures/videos every single day! I appreciated the content of Deku because that is basically my baby lol. There was a mid session where Ian taught me how to properly use the ecollar and showcasing what Deku has been up to the time he was with Ian. Deku was pretty much a different dog by the mid session, so it excited me to have him back after the 3rd week. The day I got Deku back, Ian showed me all of the progress and work Deku did and he was completely different. Deku stopped reacting towards people/other dogs and he was very obedient with following all commands! It's been almost a week now and Ian has checked in on Deku while he's been at home for the week and I also have follow-up sessions included in my service! I have been so happy with Deku is at! Before, I would be too scared to bring Deku out in public due to his reactivity/behavior, but I truly believe he is a completely different dog now, for the better! Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend Ian to EVERYONE. He is the real deal. I do feel like Ian knows how to connect with these dogs and emphasizes about how important relationships + communicating with your dog. Ian id the BEST!

That made a huge difference for us and for Ponyo. She's an anxious dog, and Ian has been so patient and intentional with her. He doesn't rush the process and really takes the time to understand each dog. We've seen such a big improvement in Ponyo, especially in how she handles situations that used to overwhelm her. We're beyond grateful for Ian and would recommend him to anyone looking for thoughtful, effective, real world training.

I had to make one of the hardest decisions this past Sunday night--saying goodbye to my 17-year-old…read moredog, Baxter. He had been in a slow decline that suddenly turned rapid, and I knew we were at the end. What stood out most was the veterinarian's honesty. They checked his vitals, but we didn't pursue extensive diagnostics. Instead, he spoke candidly about what he was seeing--neurologically, Baxter was not himself and had clearly lost significant muscle mass. At his age, there was likely more going on than one treatable issue. The veterinarian could have easily recommended a long list of tests. Instead, he gave me real guidance. When I asked what he would do if it were his own dog, he told me he would choose euthanasia at this stage, explaining that "a day or a week too early is better than a day too late" to avoid unnecessary suffering. I had been struggling with this decision for a while, and that honesty helped me feel confident I was doing the right thing. It meant everything. Once I made the decision, the compassion from the staff was incredible. They handled everything with such care, dignity, and kindness. I've also been here before when Baxter was first diagnosed with heart failure, and had the same experience. The veterinarian literally told me it wasn't an emergency and that I could either proceed with treatment there or follow up with my regular vet the next day and save the cost of emergency care. That level of transparency really stuck with me. I'm truly grateful for this team and this office. If you're ever in a difficult situation with your pet, this is a place where you'll receive honest, compassionate care--not pressure to run unnecessary tests or take advantage of a vulnerable moment. Five stars, without hesitation.

It's a bit further out from home but all the in-town options were littered with bad reviews so we knew that we'd have to head out a little bit to get something we could trust. Our odd couple duo love it here and know the route so well they'll start whining even a mile or two out. They get loved on and have never come back with any issues. The onboarding process is extremely thorough (including the meet + greet/tour) and I'd recommend this location to anyone looking for a boarding option for their fur babies. Our extended circle (as well as the siblings of our husky) all go here as well - so if you ever catch the derp parade on the grass, those are probably ours! PS - the grooming service is also great. we have a husky and those are *no joke* so that adds at least 1000/10 extra points

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG HERE!…read more Absolutely unacceptable experience. I picked up my dog from Heavenly Pet Resort in West Covina, and she came home covered in ticks. Not just one or two--she had ticks ALL OVER HER after staying at a facility that is supposed to provide a clean and safe environment for pets. As a pet owner, that is completely unacceptable. What made the situation even more frustrating was the initial response. Instead of immediately taking responsibility, my wife was told that our dog must have gotten the ticks after we got home. That explanation made no sense to us, especially considering the number of ticks we found almost immediately after picking her up. It felt like they were trying to shift the blame instead of taking our concerns seriously. Instead of bringing our dog home and enjoying having her back, we had to inspect her from head to toe, remove ticks, worry about tick-borne diseases, sanitize our home, and take her to the veterinarian. No pet owner should ever have to deal with that after paying a boarding facility to care for their pet. To their credit, they ultimately refunded the cost of our stay and paid for the veterinary visit, and I do appreciate that they took financial responsibility. However, a refund doesn't erase what happened or the stress and concern it caused our family. We trusted them with a member of our family, and they let us down.

From day one, Juan provided exceptional customer service. He was never pushy, took the time to explain the training process, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and was always easy to reach whenever I needed him. I ultimately chose the 5-week off-leash obedience program. As difficult as it was to leave my puppy for that long, it was absolutely worth it. My dog came home calmer, more confident, and with a much better understanding of commands such as stay, down, place, come, yes, and no. She listens significantly better and is clearly more focused and well-mannered. Oh and let me not forgot to mention she is now crate trained and potty trained. She now sleeps comfortably in her crate and understands that potty time happens outside. The facility itself is beautiful, private, and extremely clean. I also want to give a special shoutout to Dom for the incredible care and dedication he showed my dog during her stay. If you're considering professional training for your dog, I highly recommend reaching out to Juan and his team. The investment was one of the best decisions I've made for my dog. and I'm so grateful for the foundation they've helped build for her future.
