Ozzy (my rescue) is much more attentive and confident. I will say; however, you get what you put in. This place isn't magic- it's a school to teach you and your dog how to communicate. This is a Great training. I was not sure if our Goldendoodle could do this because she was quite stubborn. We did not start With her till 6 months. With our consistency and our excellent trainer Pupp being very patient with her and us, she really started working well and following the training. The reassurance that we could email, text, and call for anything or issues that come up was super helpful. We have another puppy coming and we feel more ready for him knowing the techniques to make great family dogs. Our puppy, Finnley (16-week old Goldendoodle) had the privilege to work with Pupp, who did an amazing job on training! We chose to have Finnley train 3 full day over 3 weeks 1:1 due to his stubborn/distractive personality and were very happy with the results and felt it was money well spent. After day one, we noticed a big difference and after the third day, we were amazed at the progress Pupp had made with him. We really like the lifetime option of being able to bring him to training classes on Sundays to work on his training as he grows and his personality develops. It is very valuable to go, train and get feedback on his challenges in person. Sit Means Sit is amazing! Danielle trained my rhodesian ridgeback (and me!). After the first training session, my dog wasn't jumping on people anymore. After the second one, she didn't pull on her leash and would walk right next to me. Now I can take her anywhere with me, off leash or on, and I get so many compliments on her behavior. Just finished our third day of foundation training at Sit Means Sit, and I am thrilled with the results. We have been needing to get some serious training for two of our three dogs, and we found it! We have peace in the house again with much better trained dogs that are now far less anxious because they have a plan. The training is worth every penny, and Pupp (yes, that's her name! :) ) and her team did an incredible job with both of our dogs. Our oldest is 7 and had some pretty bad (spoiled) behavior. No boundaries and no structure. The nervous and anxious behavior is WAY down, and I only expect it to get better. The dogs seems to love the structure, and it is really easy to do once the trainers give you the download on each day of training. Both of our trainers were insanely knowledgable and great with our little dogs. PLUS, we get free "tune-ups" and group training for life! It's really unfortunate that I wasn't able to experience the great training that everyone seems to have received. I have a 6 month old male pitbull who has socialization issues. Since he's coming out of puppy hood with these issues I feel that this is a time sensitive issue. I scheduled an appointment about a month ago with Danielle. As I was getting ready to leave my house, I get a call from her canceling the appointment because she was feeling under the weather. It happens, I get it no biggy. She said the office would call asap to reschedule. They called me maybe a week later and scheduled me out another couple of weeks which was frustrating but it is what it is. Then I get a call a few days ago saying that we need to reschedule again. Then she called again and said oh wait jk that was my mistake, we're keeping your appointment on the 6th, see you then. Aaaaaand then once again I get a voicemail this morning saying we do in fact need to reschedule. I tried calling close to 10 times to speak to someone and wasn't able to get through and now they're closed. I don't doubt their training is great. They have stellar reviews. But there's definitely room for improvement on the offices end. I have a hectic schedule and I don't appreciate feeling like my time is not being valued. read more

Danielle is the best trainer! My dog, Olive is a super anxious dog. Really bad separation anxiety. We were living in an apartment and was kenneling olive. When we left the neighbors below us claimed that Olive was making a lot of noise. The office said they would have to kick us out if it happened anymore times. I was so stressed and upset. I seriously did not know what to do. I looked up some training places on yelp in Austin. I went for a free consultation at sit means sit with Olive. I wasn't sure what to expect. When she showed me the training collar I was like umm will this hurt her?! And she's like "no not at all, I use it on my own dogs." We were able to talk prices and it was something that was comfortable. She suggested the board and train with her for two weeks. I knew it would be hard but I know I needed to do it. I was so happy with results. We also have another dog got from The shelter a chihuahua, Nacho libre. He wasn't trained very well and after a few private lessons with Danielle. He was a different dog! My dog Bruce needed some training. He's a 2 year old Australian Shepherd and we saw Sit Means Sit at the Furry 5K. The dogs they had at the booth were incredibly well trained and around a lot of other people and dogs too. This was exactly what we were looking for in a dog trainer. We did a consultation and Danielle was super responsive and accommodating to our schedule. She also worked with us to make an appointment that was convenient for us despite having other scheduling needs. When we were talking about when to have our dog trained, she also suggested and worked with us to find a time that worked for both of us which was really helpful considering we were moving. We had our dog Bruce with sit means sit for two weeks, and when we got him back his behavior was like night and day. He still was very lovable and kind but he was more confident, and a lot more responsive to commands, and we could tell that the work he put in paid off. We had him work on confidence and obeying commands. And we got videos, multiple of them, while he was with Danielle and we were very excited to see them and also appreciate how well the videos were done and we saved them to watch over and over. I recommended sit means sit to a coworker of mine who was blown away by how different and how well behaved Bruce was once he returned to work with me. One of the main things that was visible to everyone else was how he would stay in his place even when I would go away for 5, 10, or even 30 minutes and he waited till I got back; this is something that we asked specifically for so it was great to see that they worked on the things that were important to us. We've also had follow up appointments with Danielle and she also wants to keep working with our dog. Having raised three labs, we swore we would never get another puppy, but we had a weak moment. :) Now we're proud parents to a very lively, strong, and strong minded, 7 month old Chocolate Lab, Sophie. We got Sophie at 8 weeks and immediately signed up with Pupp at Sit Means Sit. Pupp continues to work with us. During times of desperation, Pupp has always there with reassurance and 1 on 1 instruction to get us back on course. We'll be honest and say the training is really for us, not the Sophie. Natalia I was expecting a little more than a passive aggressive 'it's not like changing a lightbulb' response after all this time. Your trainer offered to come to my place as she saw how badly behaved the dog was when she took him outside to a normal public place and he was out of control. I ended up canceling the home lesson since it was scheduled 3 weeks out and it is pointless trying to train a dog at home with a 3 week gap when even the existing training was proving useless. I would appreciate you picking up the phone to call if you truly want to get both sides of the story. The bottom line is my dog wasn't right for this training and I should have been told that during the first meeting. And we did train him per your trainer's instructions, attended all trainings for us so please don't try to make it sound like we are to blame. I don't enjoy seeing my money wasted so can certainly follow the demands of a program when I see at least some positive results. Do I want to continue to give my dog training lessons with no visible results? The answer is no. All the best to you as well. read more

Danielle is an amazing trainer. I came to her because my dog is "aggressive" and I was tired of being nervous bringing her out in public. I was afraid she would get into a fight because I have no control over her. After three sessions with her my dog has no issues going to the group classes, which will have twenty dogs at times. She is also able to walk off leash which I never though was possible! Danielle worked magic with our 1.5 year old cockapoo! We came to Sit Means Sit after too many times of our dog not listening to basic commands and unable to control his excitement. Lucky, our cockapoo wasn't controllable when friends/family would visit, he would continuously jump all over them as soon as they walked in the door. After 1 week of board and train with Danielle and daily practice lessons, Lucky now listens to basic commands like Come, Place, Sit and Off. He also heels when walking-no longer constantly tugging on the leash. Lucky is still the same happy and energetic dog but with some manners now :).
