Boy have times changed !! I haven't bought a mattress in 20 years! My boyfriend and I walked in and Diego Trujillo greeted us. I joked and said I am going to bounce on every bed to determine what we want. Diego said no problem and had a sense of humor. He then took us to this machine and asked us a bunch of questions. Then he had us lay on a mattress that weighed us and did some crazy diagnosis. It determined what type of mattresses would be suitable for our needs. The first mattress felt like I was laying in a cloud. We tried a bunch of other mattresses afterwards but the first mattress was the best. I don't know the correct terminology but we are able to adjust this mattress to go up at an angle at both ends. What ?!? Diego made the process easy and painless. We were in and out within an hour. And we got out mattress delivered the next morning!! Talk about service !! I can't wait to watch a movie in bed propped up with a glass of wine !! read more

Truly a customer service failure and an opportunity for management to not only make things right but to earn business from the situation. Not only did I not receive the opportunity to speak without being interrupted less only after I start recording a conversation, the entire conversation kept pivoting to benefit the location by having me go through warranty on a mattress that should've never been sold. Or at least should have been disclosed or at least should have been handled when they first were made aware of the problem. Once the location found that their mattresses had fiberglass in it, that the 14 inch mattress was actually only 12 inches with a 2 inch topper around the mattress That I could've just purchased my own topper and would've been seen what was going on with the mattress and the fiberglass and would've not purchased it. $1000 later having been spent on this mattress and not discovering the issues aside from it being a hot mattress but that there was fiberglass in it once the Mattress protector failed. Then upon trying to wash the mattress discovering that it had a topper of 2 inches! So I didn't even get a large mattress that I paid for I got 2 inches in a topper that was hot and I had to take off in order to wash it! At that time I could have called warranty and had them do it but then I would not have been made aware that there was fiberglass! So we were laying on top of fiberglass which is like an like hair and the manager has the audacity to tell me well when it's in it's solid form. Which I'm horrified was the response. In addition, when I requested a refund he stated it's been too long well it was just made known to me that this was fiberglass that I had sat on my dog had sat on and licked and my movers had gotten all over them! I currently am still sleeping on this mattress without the topper on it because it's hot and I have the protector over it and without having several layers of sheets you still get the little hairs that come through. At this point you would think that the manager would say let's bring it back and give you a store credit for a new mattress. He even stated that the mattress materials or the specific mattress that was very popular is no longer being sold. Wonder why?! So after several phone calls and being forwarded to warranty which makes no sense that I would have to go through warranty when it's not a defective item but it's an item that was not disclosed as having any issue. Or that the topper was not part of the mattress! So not only that I feel that I was being taken advantage of at the location, which led me to go with a different mattress and return the base. Especially after they told me that the base would be something that I could move by myself and it was not it was way too heavy. Now I have to deal with this Five years later when I find that the mattress isn't what it was supposed to be that I paid. So unfortunately for the sales people here that could be honest, I would not recommend this location. The manager was definitely not somebody that I would want to speak with again. He was argumentative, condescending, interruptive and was only remotely willing to do anything after I started recording the conversation. He even went as far as to say that nobody is going to care if I post this to let people know about the location that nobody is going to see it. So let's make sure that everybody sees it and that nobody will ever give their business to this location until they start doing business better. I will be contacting corporate and I might even reach out to the legal department based upon the conversation and the lack of capability to remedy the situation amicably. read more

I went in to exchange my mattress under their 120 exchange policy, which is great so you get a chance to try out the mattress ... I ended up I dont. Know... I just didn't end up liking my mattress... I thought it felt good in the store but it's different sleeping on it in real life, ended up just not liking so I went in last week to exchange it and Charles was very helpful, professional and great. I didn't feel pressured at all this time around I wanted to try out every mattress in the store lol... so I chose a more firm one they delivered it yesterday and all is well now. I was told that the reclining bed o bought would fit into the existing full size bed frame. at the time of delivery (and the driver was a jerk-all he wanted to do was try and rush in and out). the bed did not fit in the frame and so store manager in San Clemente only offered me to buy a bed that did not recline! after complaining to the main office they only agreed to reimburse me $300. very bad business. 11/24/23-An update since our purchase back in 2018 of our Simmons Beautyrest Turtledove. We noticed that the mattress corner seams were coming apart at all four corners. We also had the PureCare warranty protection. Long story short as is with all warranty protection, they require you 15 different things and then some just to get out of having to cover the loss. Before having to go there, Sit n' Sleep's customer service center setup an inspection with the company who comes out to report the condition of the mattress and whether or not it was maintained to adhere to the manufactures warranty. They're called Precise or Precision or something like that. You need to not have a stain. Make sure it's on a "proper" foundation, etc. Well. Our mattress had a slight stain. Despite all the nonsense we went through, I escalated the matter to Alfred at the store and we were able to work everything out before I flipped my you know what because PureCare was going to give me the run around with the warranty protection, and I had to go through them, because despite the mattress being defective, Simmons was going to deny the claim because they can. Why? Because it wasn't on a bunky board and we had a very slight stain on it. Alfred was wonderful. He sent me the bunky board, and I paid for the tax only. I tipped the delivery guys, and I had the stain removed with some hydrogen peroxide, and steam cleaned it myself. Took the pics that were required, and we're done. Went to the store, and not only did we upgrade to a new mattress, but we spent an extra $3k with new upgrades. So I think it was a win-win for both of us. My point is this. The store could have just turned their head and had a big nasty social media stain on their reputation, and believe me it would have been bad. But Alfred just treated us with making it right. Because he knew it wasn't our fault and the manufacturer and PureCare shouldn't use that as an excuse to get out of making us whole. Alfred and team, thank you for doing the right thing. You've earned our business and I look forward to continuing to do business with you and your store! You're truly the best. read more

The worst experience as far as customer service. We visited this location looking for mattress. There was no one in the store except a Salesman who approached us and we found out later that he is the manager. Upon arrival I told him what we are looking for and the budget and he immediately told us that this is not the place for us and we shouldn't waste our time and leave . He was very rude . He later points out to my Sister's sunglasses and commented that the person wearing those should not ask for better price .very unprofessional . His attitude was unacceptable for retail . We purchased a Kingsdown King mattress from sit and sleep in Laguna Hills. It was delivered to our home on 4/19/24. After a few months we started noticing a sag in it. We reported the sag in November of 2024 to customer service. They sent someone out to inspect. They identified a 3/4 " sag on the left side and a 7/8" sag on the right side. Sit and sleep denied the claim. The sag continued to get worse so I called customer service again. They sent someone out on 2/28/25. This time the sag measured 1" sag on the left side and a 7/8" sag on the right side. They again denied the claim. I googled "is It normal for a king mattress to sag 1" in less than a year? I got "No, a 1-inch sag in a king mattress within a year is generally not considered normal and could indicate a potential issue with the mattress quality or support structure; if you notice this level of sagging so soon, you should contact the manufacturer to check if it falls under your warranty. " I am a senior citizen and Have purchased several mattresses in my lifetime. I have never had sagging in such a short time. This is the first time I shopped at sit and sleep and I will never again! I will share my experience with my family and friends. I don't want this to happen to them. read more

I am so disappointed with my experience. After making the purchase, I was told the bed would be ready for pickup on Friday afternoon and that they would call me. Just short of 7 pm, I called them to find out if the bed was waiting. They were unable to locate my order via my phone number. Odd, it was on the invoice. She tried repeatedly and I suggested she use the order number. Order found ... delayed "at least a week", I asked why nobody called to inform me. She said nothing. So I asked her to cancel my order. About 35 minutes later, I got a call from the manager. He said he would process the order, but the bed would be in "probably a week from Saturday."Honestly, I understand delays and all, but I do not understand why they could not simply call me and inform me of the delay. I would have been fine with that. Communication is key, and customer service should be about it. I am just disappointed that this happened. So off to read more

Shop at a different store or just skip them and buy directly online. But if you like bad service this is the place for you! I ended up having to use a sleeping bag my first night at my new place because of them. I needed a mattress in a box so I could move it to my new place. I provided explicit instructions that the mattress not be unboxed. My new place has narrow stairs that makes it difficult to move an unboxed mattress. I mentioned multiple times it needs to be kept in the box but instructions were not followed and I had to turn the delivery driver away after waiting over an hour from estimated delivery time. No one from Sit and Sleep reached out to me and I had to follow up with them multiple times just to get ahold of someone. When they called me back a few hours later they told me that the mattress will come in a box the following day. I took more time off work and when the delivery people came the bed was out of the box again. At this point me I've already had to take so much time off work to deal with their BS so I was over there poor service and lack of communication. The delivery people had to bend the bed to get it down the stairs but I'm glad I have a warranty directly with the mattress company and not Sit and Sleep so I don't ever have to deal with them again. Edit: Updated to two stars because Alfred from customer service department reached out after I posted the review and he apologized for the inconvenience. But it still does not take away from my negative experience of sleeping on the floor the first night and I wish they reached out when they made the original mistakes instead of waiting for a customer to post a negative review. read more

I purchased an Ultrateck with Tencel low profile pillow from them. It cost me $98.00. The pillow was washable. After washing and drying it plumped up like some thick oversized pillow. It is totally ruined. I threw it out today. What a mess. I also bought a mattress not crazy about. You can exchange them within a certain period of time. I miss my Serta pillow top from Macy's. It got old and I couldn't afford another one, so I bought a less expensive one from Sit N Sleep. It's nothing great. read more

Do yourself a favor and don't buy a bed frame here. The mattresses are great. The bed frame, no matter which one you have, will break. I have had 3 bed frames from here and keep financing their "best", heavy duty frames and they keep breaking. Legs break, the structures holding up the slats break, nothing will stay together for long. read more

I stopped at Sit n Sleep to get new mattresses for all beds in my home. I usually go the location in Long Beach. But its really closer to come here from Fountain Valley. The Customer service and help was much better here, than the one in Long Beach. But I am not doing a pissing contest so I chose to come here.
