Fried chicken, sticky rice, papaya salad, fried liver, beef soup

If you're looking for some good Latino home cooking. This is the place for it and never disappoint.

Lao sausage and sticky rice...I couldn't resist as I was checking out with my groceries

This is by far my favorite Asian market in Middle Tennessee. Though it's small they ALWAYS have what I am looking for. The produce is fresh, the service is friendly, and I will often drive an extra 10-15 minutes from Murfreesboro to Smyrna even though there are many Asian markets in the Boro, just because I know I'll get what I want here. The real secret gem is the restaurant in the back. They have some great Pho, spring rolls, Lao sausage, and all kinds of other goodies. I love this place!!! And they have become like family. Go check them out!

    It was Basil Stir Fry

I ordered the Basil Stir Fry. It was really good. Prepared with fresh ingredients. Reasonably priced. The owner is super friendly and a great cook! I'll be back!

I walked in because I was in the mood for some food that was different. It's a market. The counter person was absorbed in her newspaper. She didn't even look up when I asked if the deli was in the back. She just said yes. I walked back to where there were obvious chairs and tables. The place looked good. Lots of delicious stuff on the menu. The problem is, I sat around for more than 7 minutes and was acknowledged by no one. The time was 14h30. Cooking was going on. Maybe she was making a pickup order. I was tired of waiting and left. The market looks like there was lots to offer. I would like the opportunity to return and actually be able to eat here and then revise my review but the lack of even being acknowledged for nearly ten minutes made it impossible to dine here today. EDIT: 26/01/15 The owner contacted me via yelp and offered a meal on the house on my return visit in order to make things right. I find this very humble and admirable. I will be fair and not accept the free meal but also give them praise for making an effort. Until my return visit, I will keep the rating the same but will at least acknowledge their effort here in this review. EDIT: 23/04/15 I was going to be working in the area and I had some free time so I thought I would give it another shot. This time was a different experience. I walked in and was greeted by the person at the front register of the market. I walked back and was greeted by a friendly man. I sat down and looked through the menu. I ordered a Thai tea which is always a little too sweet for me but a nice treat. I never really like sweet drinks but it was delicious. I ordered the Basil Stir-fry. The food was immediately cooked. The man asked if I wanted to try some beef livers. I took a bite. I secretly stuck the rest in a napkin, Its not for me. I never really did like liver. But the gesture was nice. The food came out very quickly. It was really delicious. I topped it off with "Golden Mountain Seasoning sauce" which was wonderful on my rice! I cleaned my plate. Great flavor and they had lots of sauces and spices on the table to use. I will return!

Asian food store with a variety of dry, frozen and fresh goods. Somewhat heavier on the dry and frozen goods, although some of the frozen goods (sausage, red ginger) seem to be prepared and packaged in the store. There is a larger variety of Chinese food items at this store than most of the Asian food stores in the area. There is a small restaurant area at the back of the store where they sell dishes from a limited menu of popular Thai dishes (Pad Thai etc). They also sell a variety of bubble tea drinks.

I haven't tried the food, but the market is nice and convenient for your basic Asian grocery items and produce. Friendly service as well!

A variety of African flours, like fufu, grated cassava, frozen cassava, ground millet, fermented flours, frozen goat head, a variety of frozen fish, pickled mackerel, smoked dried fish and wait, what is this toward the back of the store? A menu of food! Jerk chicken, jollof, waakye, oxtails, curry goat, peanut soup! Watch Mark Weins in Nigeria and you'll see lots of this food. I can't wait to come back and try the food here. So excited to see this in Murfreesboro! Our food diversity quotient just improved

After spending the last 40 years of my married life travelling to Nashville to buy African food…read moreproducts or taking a chance ordering things on line, I was very excited to learn that we have a new African and Caribbean food market here in the Boro since February! I visited the store and was very pleased with the selection of frozen foods including different greens, some fresh produce and all kinds of smoked and frozen fish. The vast inventory of cooking oils was especially good and the variety of packaged products was overwhelming. I am extremely happy that I do not have to travel all the way to Nashville to get what I want anymore. I understand there may also be cooked food in the future. A Facebook page would be nice, too. The young man who helped me make my purchases was very nice and professional. I will enjoy visiting this store on a regular basis!
