He kept trying to take me off meds that I need like psych meds, and any medacine he's worried about me being sadating, altho I've been on the same meds for a year never had a problem, while I'm in the hospital they gave me all my meds no problem, but the meds he should of been checking, actually if u gonna check a patient medication u should check all of them and the one he didn't check almost cost me my life. I had to deal with a horrible rash all over my legs that turned into welps and hives for 3 whole months continuously asking for help. I couldn't sleep my legs would be on fire and itching like crazy causing me to have constant panic attacks and then my legs looked like alligator skin. Getting meds called in being ignored on the message board, over and over, I'm done . And he told me if I lost a few pounds I'd be fine!! Mind u I have serious conditions like CHF, sarcoid heart amyladosis, avn, anaphylactic shock, cerebral occullusion just to blame a few.. nope I'm good I just got out the hospital last Monday after a 12 day tent and still waiting on a medication to be called in. For a month now I have been trying to book an appointment. But every time you call during business hrs ,you get an audio prompt,and no matter what number you press , you get the same message saying the office is closed and to call back during normal biz hrs. They have a number for after hrs exchange but that is answered by numbskulls who don't get your message to the doctor. I tried calling their other location today and got the same message but with an option to text if you needed an appt. So I'm texting trying to get a doctor appt???? And let's just say the person texting me back was not a communication expert !!!! Supposedly their phone system " has been down for over a month " wtaf??? Oh and the online patient portal says I don't exist . Oooookaaay. Never in my life have I heard or experienced a doctors office with no phone system. The very least they could do is have an outgoing message EXPLAINING THE SITUATION to patients, apologizing for the situation and give them a viable option to making an appointment or getting rxs refills. A pharmacy can't even get through!!!!!

His main focus is in making as much money as he can off of his patients, and wastes your time while doing it. I've had to reschedule many visits after waiting well over an hour after my appointment time to see him. I ended up having to seek proper medical care from another provider.

I like being able to have access to both in case one is booked up or on vacation. The doctors went to med school together (at SLU) and performed their internships together and so their practice is quite integrated. Both doctors have a very pleasant attitude, listen well, answer as many questions as you have, and take a lot of notes. Everything is computerized so there is no need to wait for someone to "pull your file." There is very little wait time for an appointment, usually the next day. The office is comfortable and modern, the walls adorned, in part, by a nice selection of Dr. Chen's remarkable photography. There are several clean and bright exam rooms and even though they allow you as much time as you need, are run quite efficiently by their friendly and competent staff. They are on staff at Mercy hospitals and provide service to people of all ages, babies thru seniors. Once registered, you can use a web app to schedule appointments, send email questions directly to your doctor, conduct video chat visits, view test results, keep track of immunizations, and much more. I plan to stay with Dr. Chen for good, and I highly recommend that you check this practice out.
