I have always loved six flags. The New England park is the closest so I've been on many occasions. My fiancée and I have had passes since 2019 but after the parks took a hit from Covid they have really gone down hill. We went on a Monday this week and the park was surprisingly dead. It takes us two hours to get there from our house and half the rides have either been removed or weren't running. Goliath towers, fireball, and the swings have all been removed. The back end of the western area (Houdini ride and tomahawk), the Harley Quinn ride, kontiki, and a good portion of the kiddy rides in the looney tunes section we're all closed. We honestly only stayed for about 3-4 hours we honestly got bored. It just wasn't worth the ride. Next is the food. It's ridiculously overpriced for garbage food. You have parks like Hershey park, Disney, and universal that ROCK at food. It's delicious for better prices. Six flags needs to step it up!!! Last the place is turning into a dump it's FILTHY and falling apart. The bathroom are disgusting!!! Things were also broken in the bathrooms. There is trash everywhere all of the park it just looks so dumpy. It's really makes me sad I have so many good memories at this park but it is not what it used to be. Never in my life have I seen so many incompetent 'workers' in one place...do yourself a favor and spend the money ANYWHERE else. Brian Square the swaps could take place in five minutes or less... Are easily drawn out to at least 10 minutes due to the inefficiency of the carny running it - yes I know that usually refers to carnival worker but honestly, these people are exactly that. Sitting on the carousel, which I got in line for over 10 minutes ago, it's about half full but took them 12 minutes to load it and push the start button. Why? We have been there 4 times this summer and it's been dead (today had the most people) and the amount of wasted time and inefficiency is astounding. If the amount of wasted time isn't enough to deter you - let's talk about the cost of food. Ever paid $17 for a SLICE of pizza? Guess you should consider the full pizza because it's (comparatively) a steal at $60! Bag of Haribo candy that cost $1.25 at any regular store...$6 here. Ice cream....$13. Guys, this isn't Disney and I actually think food may cost less there. Just can't get over how run down and crappy this place is. How much the workers seem to hate their lives. When we went to leave, there was an announcement about there 'code of conduct' there...laughable that all it included was, no smoking in the park. My 7th visit at the park and I'm never returning. I'm leaving this review to key off some steam bc Six Flags corporate does not care. So this year fright fest decided to make you stand in a long line to get a wristband, regardless of purchasing the ticket online and having it available on my phone. You know when they tell you this? When you already waited in a long line to enter. That's when they tell you. Oh, and you can't just walk right up, I then had to wait in line again after getting my stupid wristband . We were at the park for 10 hours and only got to go on two coasters and one haunted house. Also the lockers expired and locked our stuff in there. This has never happened before. The company has gotten way worse under the cedar point merger. Next year I'll do something local or go to Hershey. I'll never return to another six flags park, I'm done. Six Flags is a branded amusement park franchise hosting thrill rides, carnival games, and themed concessions. Six Flags of New England is a money pit. We purchased discount tickets through AAA for four people and paid about $250. I made sure to stop at the bank prior to arriving at the park and ALSO made sure to read the rules, especially about food and drink. The rules explicitly state no outside food or beverage, including water bottles and coolers. After paying $35 dollars (sorry, no cash accepted) to park in standard parking, we sat in the car and ate our lunch. We then started walking instead of waiting in a long line for the shuttle and arrived at security check in. While in line, I noticed literally hundreds of water bottles and dozens of food coolers. Despite the numerous signs stating no outside food or drink, security could have cared less. No one was told to leave anything behind. Granted, I was just in Walt Disney World a few weeks ago, but this park is completely minor league compared to Disney. The very first thing I noticed is there were no paper maps available. Had to use the QR code to get a static map on your phone, which was useless. We made our way to Superman and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride despite the run down appearance. The kids rode many of the other main attractions, but very few appeared kept up in appearance. The bathrooms were absolutely atrocious. Just disgusting. We tried several and they were all trashed throughout the day. What really upset me was absolutely NO CASH was accepted anywhere in the park. You could convert cash to debit cards dispensed at scarce kiosks, but you could not load more cash to these cards. Else, you used a credit card. The food and drinks were overpriced as expected. But we did find a relative bargain at Johnny Rockets. A four burger/fries/drink meal for $55. Though the staff members were snarky, rude, or indifferent here and all throughout the park. At the arcade (Lex's Arcade) nothing worked. We attempted another arcade and had better luck, and "Zachary", though overworked, was very helpful. If you come, and I'd recommend going to Lake Compounce instead, bring bug spray. Another thing that Disney does much better is landscaping to keep bugs and wasps at bay. Six Flags New England seems content to breed mosquitoes in the many standing water puddles throughout the park, and encourages wasps by not cleaning up spills and messes anywhere in the park. read more

No matter how many times you come here its always a great time. The water park is amazing and full of rides and slides. Got a cabana this time and it was worth the money. Johnny Rockets in the Dry Park is delicious. The burgers are full of flavor and onion rings are dipped in this batter from heaven. earlier today I was here for a school field trip and someone on the water raft ride had taken my wallet out of my bag. My friend and I went to the lost and found and was told to make a report, which we did. After telling them what it looked like we did not recieve it until AFTER spending ten minutes filling out the lost report. Than afterwards after asking to fill out a police report because multiple belongings were missing and charges were made to my card I was told it was a bank issue? Not sure how my stolen cash and gift cards has to do with my bank but ok... Than afterwards the park was closed and we were told to exit while our choir group was at awards. We were left to wait outside without an adult. I am extremely upset I have never had a bad experience till this trip. However now I will not be returning. As a minor I did not feel very safe and felt as if my safety as a minor was a priority for staff. Theme park and hurricane harbor waterpark is all in one admission. This is a family friendly park and it's not as busy as the theme park or waterpark in NJ. Yes, like other reviews, I do notice that this location isn't as big and doesn't have many rides like the ones in NJ but the fact that this park isn't crowded with foul loud and obnoxious Jersey trash, I'm already liking this area much much more! First, there was no problem with finding a parking. Then, we were able to find shaded seats at the waterpark and played from opening park hours to late afternoon. Kids love the wave pool but don't let it fool yah! Those waves were pretty aggressive and standing below 3 feet area, I was almost knocked down! Then again, I'm only 5'2 on a good hair day so perhaps you use your judgement! The food is same as any other amusement park food. It's mainly junk food (burgers hotdogs, pizzas and fries) and overpriced but let's be honest, no one wants to leave the park to eat and then drag themselves back so all will want to eat there at least for lunch. The only healthy option here is grilled chicken wrap and salads which they will make it fresh and you decide what veggies you want. We have a season dining plan which I highly recommend buying. I paid for tickets to the haunted mazes. 4 of them. $140 ish bucks online at sixflags.com it didn't tell me I needed to buy another ticket to enter until I got to park do surprise $240 more I was charged. Unexpected. First we pay 80$ in candy then we head to haunted houses. They were supposed to give us wrist bands. They didn't my phone died went to get wrist bands and finally again head to the haunted houses. My kid was scared to death for people screaming in her face. Expected but was too much for my kids and we had to leave to scary and the kids didn't want to go on any of the rides. We just wanted to go on the haunted houses, but it was unbearable for my child and we got ripped off basically by six flags. I Really Like Six Flags... Fun Day! Six Flags New England: It's in Agawam Massachusetts so a bit under 2 hours from Boston. Agawam is near Springfield Mass. This is the oldest Amusment Park of the Six Flags locations! It used to be Riverside Park. I'll star out and say we have had season passes to Six Flags for years... Mostly we go to Magic Mountain in California or the 2 in Texas... This Six Flags was a really good park! The one thing that always confuses me at Six Flags Locations is how the rides at different parks have the same name but are totally different rides! Superman was our favorite ride hands down. You climb up the initial plunge and it takes you along the river and it is so beautiful! What an amazing place with wonderful views! The rest of the ride is smooth and awesome as well! What a great ride and spot! Goliath Rocks My Socks! Goliath is sure to get your heart pounding as it slowly lifts you and the drops you into a serious of twist, turns and loops and then whips you back past the gates and suspends you in mid air a while. Great Ride! Harley Quinn Spinsanity: I like this ride and the one like it at Magic Mountain! The pendulum motion while spinning makes you feel like the ride is out of control and I LIKE IT! Don't miss this ride on your stay! Cyborg Hyperdrive had a really short line and wait and it was a nice ride. It is an indoor ride in the AC and doesn't look like much when you see it but wow was it a cool and well designed thrill ride. It spins and and tilts you and rotates you all at the same time as you feel you're going to kit the wall or ceiling! I liked it! Fireball was a good ride. It loops you over and over frontwards and backwards until you need to rest your stomach when you get off! Lol... Batman was another good ride. Lopping and twisting around keeps you holding on for sure! Great coaster that made me need a stomach break afterwards... Getting older is rough... Lol... I wanted to check the waterpark out too but we ran out of time and I was so tired when we left... Food and Drinks: It's not cheap to eat and drink here. We take our Six Flags trips to a serious level so we have season passes and get the unlimited drink cups for the year and drink so much iced teas and lemonade! The Park Manager: I asked for directions from a friendly looking gentleman in the park who turned out to be the Park Manager. He was a really friendly guy who really seems like like his job. I think he was worked there for about 20 years if I remember his name tag start date correctly! He was a really nice guy anyway! The only negative thing is my season photo pass from California doesn't work at this park so we didn't get any pictures. It was a bummer since we paid for it... Apparently this park uses a different service and the girl at photo redemption told me to just pay another $25 but I passed... Don't waste your money here. My family of four went to Six Flags New England on July 9, 2023 and immediately regretted that decision due to the disgusting conditions. So we do not have any plans to ever return. The good: - most wait lines were short - kids enjoyed the kiddie rides The bad: - All of the bathrooms were so gross. They looked and smelled like there was urine all over the walls and floors. And this was not just one or two of the bathrooms. Every. Single. One. It was truly disgusting and we dreaded every time one of the kids asked to go to the bathroom. - The same conditions were also true for the changing rooms in the water park, plus the added luxuries of broken lighting and spiderwebs. Thank goodness for water shoes! - The policies and signs for designated smoking are completely ignored. And workers do not seem to care. So there were people all over the park smoking and vaping whenever they pleased. And this was not just one or two isolated incidents. I'm talking over 10-20 different times that we had somebody walk right past us or stand right near us while smoking/vaping. And not once did we see any employee tell them to stop or go to the designated smoking areas. - Bringing your own food and drink into the park is prohibited, which by itself is not a huge deal. However, when the prices at Red Sox games and Disney seem like bargains compared to here, there is a problem. For example, it costs $15.99 for one small slice of pizza and handful of fries. - The queue for the shuttle back to the parking lot has the most nauseating smell of trash that I have ever experienced. But apparently this is the norm because the group behind us said that "it wouldn't be a trip to six flags without the smell of six flags trash!" Unfortunately, if all this wasn't bad enough, when we got home and reached out to customer service to voice our concerns and get things fixed, we were told that "there's nothing they can do." So if the disgusting bathrooms, constant smoking, outrageous food prices, and terrible customer service is not a problem for you, then have fun. But if you're anything like us and expect cleanliness, reasonable prices, a smoke-free environment for our kids, and quality customer service, then you need to go somewhere else. read more

Two words: COMPLETE RIPOFF. Should have mortgaged my house before I went- I know it can't be compared to Disney, but I DO expect the staff to be friendly. All I dealt with were very rude and clearly did not like their jobs. In addition: Ticket prices on line were $50 each (not horrible/not great), plus $10 service fee. They are $85 if you buy there. Lunch- $20 for chicken tenders and fries; another $20 for a piece of pizza that you HAD to buy with fries(cashier yelled at me for not reading the sign that said so). $38 to park! I got out on the wrong side of one of the rides. The bimbo employee yelled at me "DAMN! I said the left side!!" Place was OK when it came to cleanliness. Gift shop prices were not that bad. dont go there in halloween. The shows and atmosphere are good. But the haunted houses are not gonna give you a good experiences. They just have too many visitors that they cant serve very well. You spend 45 mins waiting in line on average for a 2mins walk in the haunted house. And each time they allow 10 people to form a group and walk in(too many for a good experience). In a haunted house called nightmare. I walk into a NPC who threats me to throw me out. I explained it is because I dont know the way. But she said she dont give a shit. Go to hicks farm instead. Going here was a waste of a sunny Saturday for us. It was very crowded so long waits are understandable but place was quite mismanaged. Wait time for rides could easily be improved by offering single riders line which Universal Studios have been doing for long time. Instead, people had to wait for over 2 hours for a single ride only to see many seats going empty just because people were in groups. Even bigger disappointment was weird priority given to people with member passes. Instead of keeping shorter lines just like flash passes, members were being given seats while all of us just waiting at the front. Finally, I had to argue hard with staff about it, only then we were let in. We just did one ride after waiting for over 2 hours, got fed up and just left. Never coming here again. read more

THE BIGGEST DISGRACE OF A COMPANY WITH ZERO LACK OF EMPATHY & DECENCY!! Read below and attached photos w correspondence. I have attempted to get a response from Six Flags New England, thru the chat box (which NEVER has a live person available) and two "contact us" Inquiries with no reply. I flew from Phoenix to Boston with my 6 year old son last Sunday, drove down 2 hours to CT to pick up my non-verbal autistic son Avery & his mom and then drove 1.5 hours to Six Flags NE. When we arrived there was a complete mess of a line to get into the park with only 1 staff person, who was clueless, giving no instruction. This took us 50 minutes to get inside the park. Once inside the park, we went directly to the Water Park (it was 92 degrees) and upon the entry there was a line that I would honestly say was at a minimum of 300+ people in line to get in. We waited another 1.25 hours to get in and we were still not even close to the entrance. It was now 3:30pm and we just left. There was no point in waiting another 1+ hour to "attempt" to get in and the park closes at 6pm. So, then we drove back another 1.5 hours to CT. I spent $149.95 tickets, $25 parking $30 for waters for....... waiting in line and again waiting in line. No water park, no rides and yes, to get the waters, his mom took 45 minutes just to get those. This was beyond a debacle, upsetting for the kids and it was just cruel to make people wait in line in the heat like that for nothing read more

I talked to three different Six Flags reps before I purchased 12 season passes. I needed clarification on the skip the line part of it. When we got to the park, we found out that the season pass only included one skip the line, not all. I was told by the three reps I spoke with before buying the passes that we would have it for all the coasters. My family and I were sooooooooooo disappointed and I was annoyed that I spent that large amount of money to not receive what I was told I would receive. I emailed Six Flags on Monday and Guest relations emailed me back the next day. It was so nice. No arguing, no back and forth communication, just - boom, we apologize for the wrong information and included 6 additional, single use skip the lines, each pass is good for 4 people for our future visits. Zero stars is what it deserves. I just spent about 200 bucks on getting abused by this horrible place. I have been to a fair share of theme parks nationwide and abroad. This has got to be the most disgusting, depressing, rip off of a theme park I've ever seen. Filthy, unkempt, a disgrace. STEER CLEAR OF ALL FOOD - NOT WORTH IT. I know that at places like this and concerts, a bottle of water is gunna be like 5 bucks. That's fine. But food there was inedible. The price was a robbery. Most rides weren't running, staff and security was hardly existent. The few did not care about safety, giving any assistance or even telling the truth about any questions or concerns. The water park wing was the worst. I think I should have gotten a tetanus shot before hand. No one cared about covid precautions. The overcrowding was insane, and mishandled. Most machines were out of order. I felt so filthy and depressed after waiting hours and hours in lines, the water slides felt like torture. Plus there were fights that kept breaking out. Every man for themselves. The people scanning your admission do not care, security devices are broken and they did not search anyone. Numerous injuries later, masks floating in the pools, and stenches from I don't want to know. I wanted to puke. The water is a Cesspool of bacteria. I'd rather dwell in a swamp in 130 degrees while getting eaten alive by mosquitos. I swear I'm not being a Karen. SAVE yourself time, money, dignity and your emotional reserve. Terrible!!! We arrived at the park at 12pm and began the long treacherous journey ahead of us to reach the gates from the parking lot. After finally arriving, we proceeded to Six Flags New England's touted attraction know as 'Superman the Ride'. After waiting on the line for over an hour we were told that the line was shut down for repairs. Ok, I understand, things happen. This nightmare was far from over. We began towards our next ride, 'Harley Quinn'. We make it to the front of line, on the edge of our seats with excitement. As we are waiting, the ride begins to shake uncontrollably scaring the workers, riders and bystanders. Me and my friends hop fences and other obstacles to try to secure our safety. Our hearts where in our mouths for I have never been closer to death. The breaks malfunctioned as well adding in to the trauma of the riders causing the ordeal to last even longer. After recovering from what could've been our end, we proceed to the next ride. After sticking out twice, we set our cites on a lesser ride to break our cursed streak. We attempted to get on 'Gotham City' to prove that a ride could work for us but we were sadly mistaken. After waiting for over 40 minutes, for a subpar attraction, we were let down as the ride was closed for repairs. Not only were we severely disappointed but we were harassed by staff as we were trying to exit the waiting area. Feeling defeated and regretting our decision to come to this retched park, I looked for something to quench my thirst. I purchased an overpriced fountain drink to heal the pain of our misfortune but to no surprise, I was let down once again. I originally got root beer but it came out as water, which also happened for iced tea, Fanta, sprite and Powerade. The only drink I was able to get flavored correctly was Coca-Cola which was my last choice. This was the lowest point but It gets better from here. We approached guest services to try resolve our issues and they somewhat aided us. We where given free fast passes to make up for our time. At this point we have been in the park more then 4 hours without having been on one attraction. These passes somewhat helped. We went on the riddler which was quite thrilling. We also attempted to get back on Superman the ride. After utilizing our fast passes, we boarded the attraction, with high hopes we chanted with joy but where then told to dismount the ride. We then waited for 30 minutes while they preformed testing. I later heard that the ride was closed and opened over 5 times that day. This is clearly a safety issue and poor crowd management. We were eventually able to get on the ride and it was worth the wait. We told our sob story to Danielle, the operator on Superman, and she was empathetic. She allowed us to ride again without going back on the line. Danielle is the only reason this is not a one star review. After finishing the attraction portion of our stay, we went out to get some food. We get on line, no one knows what is going on, neither staff not customers. We took charge helping to organize the baffled crowd. After doing the job of the staff, the register is having issues as we attempt to check out. This was the straw that broke the camels back. It was at this point where we left. We were done and will not be returning. After bringing up this page to write a review I was not surprised to see the plethora of negative reviews. I will never be returning out of fear for my safety and the careless, do nothing attitude of te staff with the exception of Danielle. Over all I would never step foot in this park again. P.S. This has nothing to do with r he company or the park itself but after fighting for what felt like days to procure my dry burger, it was knocked to the floor by a debutant employee attempting to flee captivity. I've been to several Six Flags parks and always spend my birthday at a park somewhere. I'd never been to SFNE or Boston, so decided to make that my destination for my big five-oh. I'm a diamond member and really like that you can visit any of the parks with the membership and love the free preferred parking. I got to the park at about 11:30 AM and there were already quite a few people there, but the first few lines weren't bad. I had a platinum flash pass anyway. There is no use to drive hundreds of miles to a park if you have to wait all day and can't ride all of the rides, IMO. Do I think the flash pass is overpriced? Oh yes. At Canada's Wonderland, it is at least $30 cheaper. The day was very hot, and I was shocked to see there is very little shade in this park. All of the trees are way up on the sides of the park away from the walkways. I'm not a fan of the heat, so that part was really uncomfortable. The second thing that was really bad was the attitude of most of the employees. Most of them don't answer back when you talk to them or they are just plain rude. They clearly don't care about the guests who shell out a lot of $ to go to this park, and they really let you know it. I thought maybe it was an off day or something, but I had to look at other reviews and saw many other people say the same. Maybe I'm just used to the Canda's Wonderland employees at my home park in Ontario? They are always super polite and interact with guests. I don't eat in the parks. Always get a huge breakfast and eat dinner outside to avoid the high food prices. I can't have gluten and they don't really have anything for me to eat anyway. I did buy two bottles of water for more than $5 each...ouch. The merch is cheaper than the stuff in Canada. That is a plus. I also absolutely loved the Superman coaster and Wild Cyclone. The Harley Quinn Spinsanity scared the bejeezus out of me. It's at least twice the size of the similar ride in Canada. But I don't necessarily consider that a bad thing. I managed to sit in the front on the Batman ride. It was really fun at the beginning, but toward the end my head got banged around a LOT between the headrests and I ended up with a massive headache. Another point to note, the Houdini attraction was so cool. Different from most amusement park rides. Loved the River water ride too. By 3:30 I was done. The heat was unbearable and the park was so full you could barely walk. I heard one woman say there was an hour wait just to get INTO the water park. I did stop to get fudge and someone in the candy store told me ALL the fudge had gluten in it. What? I've never heard of anyone putting flour in fudge, but whatever. I was going to get the special, buy 4 get two free, but only ended up getting two pieces to bring back to hubby. They just don't seem to care about answering questions there, I felt like they were just getting rid of me...ugh. (and it wasn't the kid at the counter but a female employee older than him who just blurted out ALL the fudge had gluten) pfffft Overall, it's an okay park, nothing to match Chicago or Magic Mountain, my two favorites. I purchased a season pass to Six Flags New England for my daughter and myself as part of their special. I haven't been to Six Flags since I was about 19. There have been some great additions to the park since then. However I will say that the park has had some aging to some of the original structures (like the outside of the building that you purchase meal plans from). Paint is literally cracking off the wood. They should consider what their competition decided to do recently during their COVID break and revitalize a bit. It will lot more presentable.. With that being said once you enter the park the rides were great and visually it maintained well. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the new Supergirl attraction and Wicked Cyclone. The one-day meal plan that we got is worth it but I want to note that the Riverboat Cafe gives you one less tender than the Johnny Rockets (if you are trying to share meal between two people). The reason I'm giving Six Flags a 3 star besides some of their aging structures is the Service. I decided to get my snack at Baystate Fries near Looney Tune section. The service was horrendous. The person fulfilling already purchased orders was taking their time and talking with other employees or gone for extended periods with no one to step in. Between waiting in line and actually getting fries I probably waited 45 minutes total. FOR FRIES! Again I would like to repeat that the lines were not terrible and it wasn't even a busy time at the park at that point. This was just how terrible poor and slow the service was. beyond disgusted. i bought add-on passes for the water park online when buying general admission tickets. they were day-specific. upon arriving at the park, staff told me that the water park was actually closed all week, and when i said the website ticket service let me select this day, and would have let me select any day this week, they said "oh, yes, it was doing that but they fixed it". they encouraged me to go to Guest Services for a refund on the add-one. Guess Services told me that because I had bought trip insurance through the Six Flags site during ticket purchase, they were "barred" from giving me a refund. They encouraged me to go through the insurance and assured me that if insurance would not refund me (I expressed skepticism), then the company surely would. Insurance would of course not refund me. "Corporate website programming problems" is not a category they will insure against. I contacted the company's Guest Relations team, who admitted the issue was a website error, admitted insurance would not cover it, and stated that despite this, Six Flags will not give refunds for anything, under any circumstances. I live close by and have two young school-age kids. this was our first visit. we could have been customers for the next decade. instead, it looks like this will be our last visit. If I can't trust the integrity of the company on a matter of 36 dollars, how could I trust my kids on the rides they maintain? read more

Our latest visit to Six flags has me disappointed in a lot of things. The chaos of entering the park was ridiculous. Enormous lines with no direction. Dirty. I mean really filthy bathrooms. $6 for a soda?!? Long ride lines. No shade anywhere to escape the sun. Garbage overflowing trash bins. For the amount of $$ spent in a day, they need to clean up their act! Ticket & parking prices pretty much force you to buy a season pass. I don't know where there are so many reviews about this location. Parking was a little bit pricey but other than that there are so MANY ATTRACTIONS AND THINGS TO DO IN THE PARK. The food is a little high but it is an AMUSEMENT PARK. The rides are fun, bathrooms clean, staff was super friendly and nice, and the park as a whole was very fun. Definitely recommended buying the tickets online as it will save a chunk of money. But I strongly recommend this location to anyone looking to have a fun day :) read more

We visited Six Flags on Friday August 6 and Saturday August 7. The experience couldn't have been more deplorable. The first day, we spent five and a half hours in the park and got on four rides. The next day, we decided to try our luck with the water park. The wave pool was lovely but everything else was a disaster. So many things were closed. The lazy river, the bonzia pipelines, tornado, Swiss family toboggan and typhoon. The few attractions that were operating had absurd lines. They were so understaffed that they couldn't load and unload rides effectively adding to the massive wait times. The park was overall packed with people. Rides with 45-90min lines were the average. There were people absolutely everywhere and even in the dry part of the park, insane numbers of rides were closed. The Riddler, Fireball, Goliath, Tomahawk, and the Houdini house. I'm sure I forgot some. Perhaps some of these issues are due to the post pandemic staffing shortage but even so, they park had no cap on the number of people allowed in the park. As we left the water park, there was a massive line to get in. Ride lines were made so much worse by the "fast pass" system that allowed people willing to throw away more money to cut the lines and take the place of the rest of the population who had been waiting for upwards of an hour to get on the ride. This elitist system seems common through the park. To get into the water park, there was even a separate much shorter line for people with the more expensive versions of the season pass. Diamond members even got their own special seating sections through the water park and special tubes that they could use in the wave pool. They even get to park closer and avoid the mile plus walk to the park from the parking lot where the rest of us had to park and hope to catch a shuttle without a half hour wait. Everyone else is treated like a second class citizen. The level to which six flags priorities making an extra buck over guest experience is mind blowing. They oversell to create long lines and then make money off of selling fast passes to bypass said lines. Pure greed with little regard for consumers experience. There were long lines to use the restroom, and hour long waits for the overpriced crappy food. The park was so incredibly overstuffed with people it was busting at the seams. The only good point was that there was quite a security presence. Although, when this security is helping to hold back an disgruntled crowd of people being told that they had to wait on a 90* day to get into a water park that was supposed to be part of their park admission, it is questionable if the security is for guest safety or to protect Six flags only seems to care about making a profit. They nickle and dime you. They overstuff the park knowing full well that they do not have the staff or the rides to handle the crowds. Where to go instead? Lake Compounce in Bristol CT A few great coasters and a water park If you have younger kids 11 and under, Story land and Santa's Village in NH can't be beat. This park was much more fun when it was Riverside. Most of the old fun rides were replaced with coasters, so if you are like me and enjoy rides but not coasters there isn't much to do. My kids, who like coasters, had fun. As expected everything is ridiculously overpriced. They also do not have allergy friendly food options and you can't bring your own into the park. We live close by so I bought the season passes but I probably wouldn't next year. read more

I don't even know where to begin. First, I must say that our group we were going to the park with were very excited. We arrived early, took the shuttle to the park and everything appeared to be starting off nicely! However, I was very uneasy and uncomfortable when we were entering and there were NO BAG CHECKS and they were just waving people through the metal detectors. Scary!! We opted for the one day pass without fast passes as we honestly didn't think we would need to pay to skip the lines on a Tuesday. This was our first mistake as we waited in astronomical lines because there was NO SYSTEM in place for how many fast pass riders vs regular riders were allowed on each ride. There needs to be a more calculated and organized system for this process. There were times where they filled the ride with fast passers as hundreds of people who have been waiting (1-2 hours) were overlooked. We waited behind The Riddler boarding gates for three runs as they let fast passes on the other side of the boarding dock take all of the seats. There should be at the very least a half fast pass/ half regular rider rule. We arrived at the park at opening time (10:30am) and by 1:00 had only been on 3 rides due to waiting in lines. This is beyond ridiculous!! Our first ride was the Superman. When the gates opened, people literally ran and stampeded others to get to the line waiting area. People were hopping the metal bars and cutting through families as others tried to navigate the zig zag. There was NO STAFF to monitor any of this behavior! I was shocked at how disorganized and unmonitored the most popular ride was. Someone could have been hurt. The ride itself was fun but that's where the novelty wears off. Within our group we had 6 adults and 6 kids. It was very unfortunate for our smaller riders to have limited rides to go on. Many of the rides that our younger kids could safely ride on were closed. The Kidzopolis area is a joke for 11 year olds that just haven't hit their growth spurt yet and grazed the 54" bar that allows them to safely ride the thrill rides! When you are charging $29 per person regardless of size and age, you should have rides to accommodate all riders and if there are many rides that smaller or younger children can't ride on, then you should make sure that there are rides open for these paying patrons as well! On the whole, 30% of the rides were closed. Disappointing!! On to the cash-less experience at Six Flags. We read online that cash is not accepted. However, it also says that there are kiosks throughout the park to transfer your cash into a pre-paid card. The problem is that there are no signs anywhere as to where these kiosks are located! The park is 235 acres with 3 kiosks in the entire park! When you charge $7.00 for a bottled water and $8.00 for a fried dough, $60 is gone in one swipe of the card for a family of 4 which leads to having to find another kiosk, walking a mile, or waiting in a long line to get another pre-paid card. More kiosks and more signage locating these kiosks need to be made available if you are going cashless in your million dollar theme park! Lastly, there was heinous amounts of trash everywhere on the ground and trash barrels were overflowing!!! The bathrooms are truly disgusting! I have been in numerous public restrooms at many theme parks and never in my life have I seen and witnessed such grotesque bathrooms! The smells of raw sewage, no hand soap, dirty diapers with cobwebs, (clearly never thrown away and there long enough for a cobweb) wet and muddy floors, and not an attendant in site! With a 2 hour car ride home I struggled to utilize the bathroom. Again, I understand I am at a theme park but if the Board of Health ever examined the bathrooms, Six Flags would be closed. This theme park was definitely understaffed and I didn't see a worker over 25 anywhere in sight! I understand that many places are short staffed but with the experience I had, I NEVER want to return. I'm saddened by this as my kids were so excited and all they could talk about on the two hour ride home was how they only were able to go on 3 rides. = ( Please get your stuff together Six Flags! You have amazing rides and this park could be so much better!! With a friendlier staff, better cleaning, rigid security, more organization, and a management team that actually cares about it's patrons, this park could be TOP in New England!! Updated: not only was my brother stuck on a ride but then riders on the Goliath got stuck for 10 minutes. Something is very wrong with these theme parks, seems incredibly unsafe. We used to be big fans but never going here again. My brother got stuck on a ride for 20 minutes. Then we waited in line for 30 min for a ride, were next up in line and were told "this ride is closed for maintenance". It happened three times in a row!! It was unreal. We were there for two hours and didn't get to ride a single ride. Finally made it onto two roller coasters. Gave up on the long lines and tried the water park. This was a bit more bearable but was a 20 min wait for food. We went around the lazy river once and it was already closing. Bathrooms are disgusting and the whole park is run by 14 year olds. No assistance for a safety matter!! My daughter was on a ride when her prescription glasses fell off. She pointed them out in clear sight to the ride attendant, and 2 different security guards. They said they had to wait for maintenance to go do a routine check. She waited until the park closed and still no one would assist her. She told them how they are her prescription glasses and can't drive without them, still no assistance. She was told to gull out a lost and found form online, she did but again they were NOT lost, they were in plain sight. We have called and spoke to guest relations (no help), an online representative (no help), emails, and voicemails left with no responses. A lady named "Gene or Jean" that answered the phone and told me she would have to wait until maintenence does a check, I said this was 2 days ago. She said okay? I said so you're saying you don't check your rides safety not daily or bidaily? She said "uh if I'm not answering correctly then you'll have to talk to my manager." I asked to speak to her manager and again I was told she wasn't in today. So there is no manager daily, and rides are not checked? I think an employee stole her glasses. They weren't some cheap glasses, they are Ray Ban Prescripton glasses that get a shade automatically when the sun is bright. Alot of money for them. read more

Worst amusement park I've ever been to. Extremely dirty, no variety in food, and rides have been the same for 20+ years. I expected more as the Six Flags over all of New England. Make the trip to New Jersey or Pennsylvania for small children. From the time we entered the park the experience was subpar, $30 parking, front entrance bathrooms were disgusting with mud, leaves, toilet paper and sanitary napkins everywhere. Lines for food were outrageously long from staff that have no sense of urgency or hospitality to provide experience- this is no Disney. It's not even close to the customer service I've received at Six Flags over Georgia. The rides are average, but what really makes this a two star rating - how much TRASH is everywhere. Don't even bother coming. They are so understaffed there are long lines everywhere! We decided to try the Diamond Elite membership this year. Here's our experience: (1) :30 minute wait to get into the Diamond Preferred parking lot (2 people working 4 lanes with traffic backed up for a mile down the street) (2) Walk to security and stand in a mass of humanity with no one around to give directions as to where to go. Waited 15 minutes to go through security. (3) Go to Members and Season Pass area to scan tickets we already have - 25 minute wait. (4) Spent hundreds for the family to get a flash pass - spent 50 minutes waiting in that line. The line queues up outside then goes inside and winds through two buildings. Six Flags New England is a guaranteed blast. Superman Ride of Steel has a special place in my heart: the real estate, the aesthetics, the music, the track, the music, and most of all, that first drop! I remember the first time I patronized this park, I was a little kid and my friends and I proceeded immediately to Superman. I had never been on a mega coaster before, and when we were ascending the first drop panic set in and I wanted them to stop the ride! Twenty years later I'll ride anything! On this recent visit I rode Superman five times!! Tips: 1. Bring a can of coke to save a whopping $15 off admission 2. Arrive early to avoid long lines. 3. Bring a water bottle and snacks. The prices in the park are exorbitantly expensive except for French fries and popcorn 4. Park at the MGM for free and Uber over to the park to avoid paying for parking. read more

3 stars bec we got to ride at least 4-5 rides each in 6 hours 2 stars for the Park itself. With memberships this year, we have been going to SFGreat Adventure but decided on a day trip here. First impression was great. Very good Fright fest decor and the park looked clean. Smaller park so the rides are closer to each other. Less walking in between areas. Chose to start towards the Goliath (now closed) side of the park. There were at least 4 rides we wanted to ride there. Passed by Looney tunes town which had really nothing much there. Used the app and picked Pandemonium since I read it had one of the longer wait lines. Not bad wait, but not 25min-wait only which the app said. Second pick was Wicked Cyclone. Again the app was wrong, was longer than 10-min wait (stopped checking the app after this). Great ride. Decided to have lunch. Staff were nice but moved so slowly. One picked up fries and tenders so slowly onto the plate. The other person gave 1/2 the amount of fries (not worth 13.99 for the meal other people got. Good thing the first person helped us). Food here was not salty which was good but not as appealing as at SFGA. Back to riding Flashback which was not as comfortable bec my head kept banging the sides of the harness/headrest. Scrambler had a bit of wait in between groups. We then walked over by the Western themed area behind Goliath. Quiet at the time- saw bumper cars and restaurants there. Then saw a road towards the back, which we would have missed. There was a haunted mansion and a ride- Tomahawk. Went with my son but it was the most dizzying ride I have been on. Like a smaller Wonder woman (SFGA) or Harley Quinn ride but which keeps on spinning! Walked by Thunderbolt area - a bit cramped and we skipped the ride bec of the line. DC Universe area had good rides but such long lines -Superman had 2-hr wait and kind of didn't want the lap bar only restraint on the ride. Gotham area looked like Gotham. Packed with people and big rides in a small area. and Dirtier. Restroom at Gotham Water Works had puddles in every stall. Was hoping they were water leaks and not accidents. Nobody was cleaning. At SFGA, there is always someone cleaning up and big fans were on for air circulation. Rides were similar to SFGA like Harley Quinn and Joker so we only went to Batman which was good - the restraints and smooth ride. After Gotham, the whole park seemed dirtier. More crowded and garbage on the ground. Food stands were lacking napkins, self serve drink refill stations were so wet and table areas were dirty or no light at all. My hat fell off my head during a kiddie ride, and I pointed it out to the attendant who refused to get it nor would she let me - even though it was easily accessible. I had to fill out a "lost" form. A month later the hat has yet to be found. This is intellectual dishonesty! Fountain drinks are over $8, no refills. You should be ashamed of that. Half the rides weren't in service on a Thursday in July. The place was unclean. The place is a horror show. My advice would be to find something else to do with the kids. Run! read more

The place is old, tired, dirty, dark. It reminded me of a visit to a third rate travelling carnival. The overall impression was of a venue that was being run into the ground in order to suck out the last dime of profit. I saw one person during a 5+ hour visit who was "pretending" to pick up trash and there was a lot of trash. The lines were way too long and often out in the hot sun. Very few of the benches had any shading. The black asphalt everywhere did not help. A party of four waited over an hour in a hot line just to be told the ride was shut down because of a "maintenance issue"( there should be compensation to everyone in line when events like this happen). There were way too few cooling stations. The employees seemed to be on autopilot and were not interested in their jobs or being friendly to the public. From the pricing, there is a definite sense of being "nickeled and dimed" every step of the way. Suggestions: 1.) Raise the admission price rather than charging extra for speedier parking, faster lines, water park access, etc. Losing money for a few years to make the park a more inviting, attractive, friendly venue might give some future pricing power. 2.) Clean the place up and get rid of excess "schlock" (fix it up, clean it up, or tear it down and replace it) 3.) Put on more happy employees (better trained in customer service) 4.) Speed up the lines for everybody (possibly limit admissions ???) 5.) Tear out most/all of the asphalt and replace with greener/cooler surfaces. 6.) Add more shading everywhere. read more
