Love this winery! Was staying in Ithaca while visiting my sister at Ithaca College and was looking for a good winery close to our Air B&B. We did the wine tasting (6 samples for 5 dollars) of five wines of our choice. My favorite was the Seyval Blanc which I ended up getting a glass of to enjoy on the porch and a bottle to take home ($14.99). The porch views are absolutely stunning (see photo). The man pouring our wine was extremely knowledgeable of all the wines and was able to answer all of our questions. They also have all kinds of fun wine-related gifts to purchase inside, as well. As I write this on a bitter cold Sunday, I am wishing I could be back on that porch at Six Mile Creek with a glass of wine in hand taking in those views. Sorry, but the offer you mentioned was not true. We walked in and asked about a tasting. The person who greeted us said reservations only. With no other accommodations offered. We do realize size, etc, makes the difference, but the tables outside had 1 small group at them thats it. Never the less the person at the door was very rude and dismissive. You could have had our business, and we do our wine trips several times a year, and your place is always our last stop as we head back to Binghamton. We have never had an issue before and have patronized your place for years. We may give it another try next trip if my Cowarts are not to bitter. read more

I totally enjoyed this one quite a lot - Stephanie O has it right, it's a particularly nice place to sit and eat a lunch or dinner after your tasting, especially because they have some truly phenomenal deals on "buy two bottles" of some of their wines, and I learned this trip, New York wineries are generally happy to let you open a bottle at the winery, drink some, and bag the rest, which is awesome! That's apparently not just a Six Mile thing, but this was a great place to do that, as they have a pretty nice vineyard view right on the patio right outside the tasting room, so after our tasting, we bought two bottles, and had one with dinner. As for the wines themselves: I thought all of them were good, and a couple were excellent, especially for the price (we got two bottles of a semisweet white blend we agreed was excellent - the "Pasa Tiempo" - for $18 total). I also loved their orangecello and especially their take on Amaretto. Super relaxed place to taste some wine (though I imagine it would somewhat less so if it hadn't been a weekday in the off-season, but still.) read more

Beautiful winery located a few miles outside of Ithaca. Stopped here after a beautiful hike through the gorges of Cornell & before seeing Michael franti at the state theater! Perfect way to spend the afternoon I'm a fan of semi- dry wines & this winery has multiple to choose from, I went with the pasa tiempo, which reminded me of a mixture of Riesling and Chardonnay.. there wines are very reasonably priced , two bottles for 15$, can't go wrong! My boyfriend and I sat on there huge deck ,, overlooking the beautiful field of grape vines & enjoyed a glass of wine (from our bottle we purchased) they opened it up & gave us a chilled bottle at that! Went for a wine tasting during Covid-19 pandemic. Everyone was wearing a mask and there were barriers in place to separate the staff from the customers. We didn't stay long inside but ended up walking around the grounds for a bit as it was a nice day. We particularly enjoyed the 2017 Riesling and bought a couple bottles to bring home. Overall, many of their wines were quite enjoyable and would recommend stopping by for a tasting if you're in the area. Many people we met during our trip to Ithaca recommended this place as well. read more

Beautiful winery about 5 minutes outside of Ithaca. They have a huge tasting room and an outdoor deck overlooking their beautiful fields. They also have a small banquet room where they were hosting a graduation party at 6pm after the winery closed!! We did a wine tasting- 6 wines for $3. They have a pretty good variety of wines but the majority of them are dry. I like semi-sweet wine so I ended up tasting 1 dry and the 5 semi-sweet wines they have. I loved them all but my favorite were the Pasa tiempo (a delicious white wine listed as "perfect for a summer day") and Bellissimo (which is their version of Red Cat). I took away one star because they don't offer any crackers or nuts with your wine tasting. Every winery I've been to offers some kind of snack with your tasting, some even offer homemade jams and mustards! Mehhh. Anyway, we ended up buying a bottle of the Pasa tiempo and some fiesta cheddar cheese and crackers they have available (they have a small refrigerator with a variety of cheese, pepperoni, and other food to purchase). I was told you can bring your own picnic and have lunch with your wine! (Good to know for next time!!!). We sat on the deck overlooking the field and had a mini wine party. It was gorgeous and so relaxing!! There's a walkway at the bottom of the driveway that goes all the way to the end of the field to a small pond and fountain. Very beautiful scenery and great wine. Too bad this winery is a bit far from us, 4.5 hours drive, otherwise, would be out go-to for many reasons: Great wines Friendly and knowledgeable staff Amazing scenery You can bring our own food to have along their wines. Our first visit was in 2017, then we returned in 2020 and then again a few weeks ago. I don't recall which staff member did the tastings for us back in 2017, but in 2020, it was Daniel, and he was awesome, really took his time to go over every sample, provided generous pours and made sure we had a nice experience. This time, we just came back to drink a full bottle and have a picnic there, and then we got a few bottles to take home. This is the most adorable place! I drove by this Vineyard on my way into Ithaca and decided to try it out during my stay. From my research, they have the widest selection of local variety wines on their menu. Each wine is unique, and the tasting staff is knowledgeable and personable. The prices are unbelievably inexpensive! A 6 glass tasting is $5 for their wines and a 3 glass tasting of their house-made spirits is $3. All bottle prices fall below $23 and a great majority are under $15. They also offer half case and full case discounts along with a case club membership. All around great service, and selection. They offer locally made cheeses, crackers and other goods to enjoy with your wine as you sit out on their deck and admire their beautiful vines. An Ithaca must visit! read more

We, a party of six with 5 of us doing tasting, were there on a Monday afternoon; no reservation needed; wonderful tasting experience! Our server was very knowledgeable in the type and history of the wines. $6 for 6 tasting in a wine glass not a plastic cup! you can't go wrong! Their Ithaca White and Riesling were clean, crisp and smooth. Their reds are the better ones that I have tasted from this region. What a beautiful vineyard! The tasting-6 wines-was only $3 or $5 if you want to keep the glass. That's way, way less than any vineyard I have ever been to. Their wine were delicious. I usually find that depending on the region either the whites or reds reign over the other, but I will say that each and every one was thoroughly enjoyable and drinkable. We got a bottle of the Bellissimo and drank it outside by the pond. It was a weekday so we were completely alone and it was so beautiful with the mountains in the background. The girl who led the tasting (I think her name might have been Holly?) was so sweet! She was knowledgeable and friendly. What a great find! I love this Vineyard! You can't help the weather! This was a good, close spot to stop near Ithaca. There are many more vineyards all around the finger lakes. This one was easiest for my family (young daughter). 6 wine tastings for $2 and 3 hard liqueur tastings for $3. YES. We started off with the whites, then moved on the reds, then moved on to desert wines. That's what my friends did at least... since its the proper way to do it. I started off with a white, then jumped to the desert, then jumped back to whites, tried a red, disliked it, then repeated the deserts. The people serving you the wines are very knowledgeable. When they didn't know the answers to our questions, they googled it and found out the answers. They also aren't anal. Even though its $2 for 6 wine tastings, they were cool about letting you try 7 or 8. The hard liqueur tastings was interesting. My friend kept telling me to try Grappa and even offered to pay for it. I knew something was up. It was soooo strong omg. Most people bought a bottle of the wine that they liked and drank in the balcony facing the vineyard, which was beautiful. We found this place pretty disappointing. We went for a tasting and paid the 3 dollar fee for each of us. It was near the end of the day so our bartender/winetender found it okay to partake in tasting the wines with us which we found a bit odd. He was not particularly helpful beyond a superficial level as far as stating a description of every wine he poured. That being said none of the wine (we tried all the reds and one rosette) was very good, we really wanted to buy something local in the Fingertips region to take home but nothing here was inspiring enough to buy. I'm not sure what this liquid is that I just drank but it's not wine. Thin, astringent, sour, no legs, just absolutely dreadful. They tell me it's a Pinot Noir but they obviously never tasted even a half-assed Pinot. This was a glass of sewage and I can't believe they charged me fo it. Stay far away, this stuff isn't even marginally drinkable. Do wine makers in New York State ever even try good wines from around the globe? We went here at around 3pm. No one was in the parking lot but we went in because the sign said open and we had just seen someone leaving. There was no one inside the building at all and we could have easily walked away with bottles of wine. We looked around for a bit and still no one came out to greet us.
