We have been in a couple times on Saturday afternoons. The vibe is casual, and they have many regulars but are seemingly welcoming to all. It would be great if they had a beer list of their cans and bottles for those who do not see anything intriguing on draft. The first time we were in there, the upbeat, friendly bartender offered us a freshly baked muffin. That was so sweet of her!

Best place. Saw magic. Drank beer. Nuff said. The word count was low so here's what I usually order. Black and tan x4 malort x3 vodka/tequila x2

    Just getting a drink. Enjoy!

Great Chicago neighborhood Irish bar. Good people, great bartenders, more than fair prices, fun times.

They have something here called the "house shot", this the the epitome of gut wrenching alcoholic speed.

Not sure how "Irish" this joint is; but the walls are green, light covers are green, and there's shamrocks. O'Malley's has cheap booze, a pool table, you can play music, watch multiple TV's (sports), and there's a Dj on certain nights.. Cash only though. I've been coming here since winter 2009. Mario is my favorite bartender. He's usually in around 10:30pm or so... Very laid back, hippie type. The rest of the bartenders are nice too. My drinks are always cheap. I've never spent more than $30 bucks, including tip and have drank plenty of whiskey..... TBK is across the street. Which is another plus. After a night of drinking, walk to Taco Burrito King, and take a taxi home. I bring all of my friends here whenever we're in the neighborhood. I highly recommend this bar :) lots of regulars, great times, every time! Oh and there's additional parking in the insurance lot, next to the bar. After 9pm there's no towing (I was told). There's street parking at Belmont and Harlem, but depending on time, you're better off pulling in there.

It's kind of a small bar, but it's actually bigger than it looks. Has pretty much just beer and liquor, but what else do you need here. The drinks are pretty average on prices. About the only things on the menu are beer and liquor, not really any Irish food. It's about $7 for a Jameson. The beer and liquor selection isn't humongous, but it has the Irish basics like any good Irish pub should. Atmosphere is the other good thing here. You can have a pretty good time. Come get some free entertainment while knocking some back. There's often traditional live music and stuff, and not just on St. Patrick's Day either. Good Irish drinks. It's not much in the way of food. There's bags of chips if you need to get something.

I pushed on the door and it was locked, thankfully Jennifer came to my rescue. She was tidying up from the night before but set me up nicely with a Guiness. This is an authentic Irish tavern that I will certainly be coming back to for my weekly Dive Bar Wednesday at some point (hopefully soon). It is cash-only, but I should've known better. I was hoping to meet with some regulars and get sold into staying longer but it was 12:30 and I was the only one there. As a dive bar aficionado I will def be back! Thanks again, Jennifer!

But music lovers with kids also want to support shows and live music of less commercial genres (jazz, funk, blues, folk, etc.) so it's there for the next generation(s). Don't let Merlla M, who has 19 one-star reviews, change anything you are doing. I feel like parents there do their very best to monitor and watch the kids but if they are into the music and not getting in the way of the staff and the parents clean up after them... What's the issue? We are so lucky to have an option like this and I am in debt to Fitz's so want to support them when I can. Live music will not survive on nostalgia or only off the very young/very olds/childless's $$$. Keep it up and thank you.

I like how they have these fun steps for children to dance or adults to sit and chat. Its very low key and casual! The food was really pricy. $15 for a very basic Cesar salad. The pork meat was very good!!! The cornbread was dry and hard- prob the worst I've ever had lol. The service is mostly younger folks and no specific assigned seatings for them to work. We had one girl, and she took our drink order, and then 15 minutes late, a younger lad took our food. They were all nice, but the way they just serve anyone can get chaotic. The older male host literally kicked us out. As soon as we paid, a my husband went to use the restroom, and he came over and said, "are you almost done? We need that table soon as we have to start rotating for reservations". We weren't even there for long! There were others who were seated before we arrived. I thought it was rude to kick us out. Overall, I would come again, but there are things they should work on. It's good if you're meeting groups of people here.
