My friend and I had a great trip this past weekend. Our guide Harrison was was a great guide- personable, good conversation, and never made us doubt his skills. He gave us safety instructions, and general instructions so we knew we knew how and when to paddle. He handled the class I & II rapids with ease from the back and unpacked and packed efficiently for our snack break which included a delicious salsa made by one of the owners. We did a half day but will definitely do a full day tour in the future! The river was beautiful and the scenery was green and majestic. Small waterfalls and mergansers throughout the trip. read more

Yuri was cool enough to swim with my daughter's friend (who was pretty hesitant about swimming in the river) in the otters playpen. My 11 yo son and I had an amazing time doing the half day class 3 rapid rafting trip with 6 rivers. I lucked out and was able to book this on my birthday (booking is really easy online). Best birthday gift ever! It was a scorching hot day (115F), which made it the perfect time to be on the river. Couldn't imagine a better guide than Pascal--plenty of positive energy and sense of humor coupled with years of rafting experience and concern for safety. Class 3 rapids were the right amount of excitement for a first rafting experience and we were very fortunate to see a bald eagle from up close. We had a blast and would love to come back some day and do a full day or an overnight. read more

We went on a half day rafting trip last Saturday as a family of four. Jo was our guide. We had a super fun time and great overall experience. Jo explained all of the safety guidelines and signals very well. Everything went smoothly. The rapids were fun and my family enjoyed jumping off of the rocks when the opportunity was given. We stopped for a snack break and really enjoyed the delicious fresh salsa and hummus that the guides brought along. Surprisingly enjoyable half day trip! Our guide Sophia was awesome! I am the first timer and do not know how to swim. But I am not nervous at all! Six River provides wet suit, ran jacket, water shoes, extra fleece jacket, safety jacket, helmet and of course all safety measures on the raft too. We had a blast yesterday doing the FULL DAY CLASS III+ UPPER TRINITY WHITEWATER TRIP (*MOST POPULAR TRIP) PIGEON POINT, TRINITY RIVER CA. There were 5 of us in our group and one who was gluten free. They catered a great deli style lunch with homemade ingredients and organic vegetables and fruit. They even made a special desert for the gluten free customer. That goes above and beyond. Sofia was our River Guide and did a fantastic job. She was funny and did a great job guiding. We had one very nervous person in our party who did not want to go through Hell's Hole and was nervous about the other class 3's. Sofia made her comfortable and was encouraging so much so that the scared person in the party not only conquered Hell's Hole but did it with a smile and was ready to do it again. She even went and jumped in and swam Hell's Hole after. The hike to the waterfall at lunch was beautiful. We have done this trip with another rafting company and I have to say this trip was more memorable because of the little things and added fun of the hike, the swimming in eddy's, the jump in to Hell's hole, the jumping off the rocks, and of course the extremely well done lunch. I highly recommend you check out 6 Rivers Rafting. Pirate Pete the Owner is great and seems to really love what he does. As for our guide Sofia, I highly recommend you request her. She became a friend in those couple hours. Ohhhhh and the pictures that were captured of us by Pete's Wife were incredible! Well worth the money to get such amazing shots of our day in action. The trip on the water included some relax and take in the beauty of the Trinity River time as well as some small rapids and then of course more technical rapids through rocks and every bit of it was fun. I highly recommend this trip and would feel safe doing it with no experience what so ever as this company knows what they are doing. read more

I have probably written 5 reviews of anything in my life. Every few years I find the need to go out of my way to thank and recognize people like Pete and Sara for their product. Our 3 day 2 night rafting trip up the Trinity exceeded our expectations at every level. The excursion started with outfitting us with all the quality gear we needed and a short, excellent safety lesson. We headed down the river where we were treated to meals that exceeded our expectations, with meticulous catering to our every need at every step of the way by Pete. At one point, we had to ask them to do less! How many times has that happened in your life? This outfit checks all the boxes (welcoming and knowledgeable hosts, quality gear, excellent design of each day, fresh custom meals, attention to safety and details, and a great value for the services). You really get more than what you pay for. I had to buy all the great pictures that Sara was able to capture of me and my wife going through the rapids, because they were all great in different ways. This week we did a half-day rafting experience on the Trinity River with 6 Rivers Rafting and had the BEST time! The trip included a bit of everything - relaxed, scenic stretches when we just soaked in all the beauty and serenity (including a family of deer on the shore, and numerous pond turtles as well). There were several places where we could choose to get out and swim, and/or jump off 10' & 15' rocks into the river. There were also several class II and class III rapids to get the adrenalin going and make the excursion memorable. Sophia was an awesome guide! Her instruction was thorough, she checked in with each of us to know the kind of experience we wanted to have, and then she delivered! Our raft had people from 12 to 63 years old, and we all got what we wanted. In the swimming areas I wanted to get out and enjoy the water but was concerned that I wouldn't have the strength (nor the grace) to get back into the raft. At each swimming point, Sophia situated our raft on the shore so that it was easy for me to get back in. I wouldn't have chosen to enjoy the refreshing swims if I had to use my own arm strength to lift myself in. So even though it sounds like a small thing, it allowed me to enjoy every part of the day's experience. (Thx Sophia!) The rapids were fun and a photographer captured our experience on one of the craziest ones - and of course, we bought the whole set of our action pictures. We definitely got our money's worth, and want to bring more of our family back again next year. read more
