Lydia was our guide, she was great! We went as a family of 4 with our 8 and 12 year old boys and had a blast. We were laughing and having fun the whole day (we did a day trip). My kids (ages 15 and 10) and my husband and I rafted with Kevin the second week of June. We truly had a magical time, and this was the first rafting experience for my fairly risk adverse kids. We opted for the half day trip, which was great for our crew but the kids loved it so much I think we could have gone the whole day. The scenery was so beautiful and peaceful but there were some good class III rapids that us nubes enjoyed. We jumped off rocks, got to float down the river on our backs. Safety was first though, and Kevin took time to make sure we were properly outfitted with vests, helmet, and shared his rules for staying safe. He was very knowledgeable about some of the local history, and flora and fauna. We even enjoyed a snack half way of chips and salsa and cherries - made from what the staff grow on the property. The office was air conditioned, and had clean restrooms and a place to safely store small belongings. I am not one who usually buys photos, but the pictures taken by the on site photographer were amazing, and reasonably priced. Things to know before you go: when we went, the road had so much traffic periodically due to construction all the way from Eureka. To be on time, double the time Google Maps or Waze will tell you it takes, because the software doesn't account for all the stops you are going to have to make. Also, after your ride you will be lifting the raft, and pulling it up a small embacment after your ride to get it to the parked trailer. We aren't in the best shape and managed with our kids. I would do this again, with Six Rivers. I feel like we would have enjoyed an all day trip! read more

Growing up in Humboldt on the coast I have always been afraid of the Trinity river she's a beautiful but dangerous river. We had family who loves to go rafting invite us on a rafting trip with 6 rivers from junction city to big flat I think it was. I was so skeptical but decided to face my fears. I'm so thankful I did! The entire experience was amazing! Our guide yuri was amazing and eased my nerves with how knowledgeable he was and how great at maneuvering the raft he was. I brought my kiddos one of them being special needs and he took the extra time and made sure he felt included, swam with him multiple times. Checked in on how he was feeling throughout the excursion. Anyways we are so glad we went couldn't have had a better guide or a better time thank you yuri and thank you 6 rivers rafting for a beautiful day and memory we will cherish forever! It's a far drive from the coast with lots of construction on the 299, so I recommend staying in willow creek. Good news is, it was worth the drive! We had a great guide, Aidan! We rafted down 7.5 miles, all day from 10:30am-7pm. Our kids ages 6 and 8, were champs! Multiple class 1, 2, and 3 rapids, and rock jumps. Lunch was fantastic, all fresh and options for kids and adults. We hiked to a waterfall when our food was being prepared. We enjoyed our day, and created wonderful family memories! We had such a great time rafting with our 8 year old niece. She was dying to do level 3 rapids and jump off some rocks and that's exactly what she got. Shay was just the best guide we could ask for. We had good instruction and lots of fun stops along the trinity where we could easily get in and out of the raft from shore. She even had us play a rodeo game where we spin the raft and somebody that's standing on the front of the raft tries to stay on. My niece loved it! Thank you for stopping at places to jump and letting us ride the current off the boat through Otter's Playpen. That was my favorite! If anyone out there is considering doing a rafting trip I highly recommend heading out with Six Rivers Rafting. I was recently invited by some friends to join them, and while I'm usually quite reluctant to participate in such ventures I ended up having one of the best times I've had in about a decade. Our river guide was Matt who is an extremely rad dude. Very welcoming, extremely nice, and very professional. Initially I had a high amount of anxiety but soon found myself to be in very safe hands. All of the SRR crew I was lucky enough to meet were absolutely amazing people which made the trip an incredible experience, and talking tattoos with Annika even helped me forget how much of a curmudgeon I've become. This trip was an experience I would 100% recommend and Six Rivers Rafting is unquestionably the crew I recommend going with. read more

Booked a half day Class 2 trip down the Trinity River. Arrived a little late because of construction slowdowns on the ride in from Eureka, but were happily greeted by our guide Aiden, and owner-operator Pete. We were quickly outfitted in protective gear, oriented and soon were on the water. Our guide had us 'help' paddle the boat the first mile but afterward our paddles were largely used for oar hi-5s as he took over and allowed us to enjoy the sights. I've done a Class 3 where you are working your way down the river so I loved taking in the sights. He had so many tidbits of knowledge to share. Learned about conservation efforts in the area, identified a Kingfisher(highest success rate fishing), saw an American Bald eagle, mallard duck, turtles, and wild blackberries. He kindly picked and gave us many opportunities to pick blackberries. Our lunch of tortilla chips, hummus(yum), salsa(yum), granola bars, watermelon hit the spot. We were invited to cliff dive into a swim hole and members of my group took them up. Thunderstorms the previous night muddied up the first mile of the river but we were able to enjoy the calm, cool, pristine waters of Trinity in the company of true professionals. read more

As others have noted, the drive East from Eureka is a bit of a trek but please don't let that discourage you from partaking in this adventure. We were only a few minutes late but Pete was waiting for us and was as stress-free as anyone could imagine. After a safety discussion, we were in the river and floating downstream. The rest of the trip was simply wonderful! Pete was a tremendous guide, he had a ton of information about the river and its surroundings as well as a great eye for seeing the wildlife. We saw a bald eagle, turtles, and lots of different types of birds but the highlight of the trip was the rapids. We had our 9-year-old with us and the level III rapids were the perfect combination of fun and excitement for him. We stopped for a snack of chips and salsa, hummus, watermelon, granola bars, and cherry tomatoes ( the best I have ever had) which was a perfect break. My daughter Trinity and I decided to go last minute and we had a blast. I have used other river rafting companies in the area and this one is hands down better. From the organic lunch that was delicious, so good I went back for seconds. Homemade hummus and salsa and some home baked chocolate chip cookies that were very tasty. We signed up for the full day package and it was well worth it. Half way through the day we stopped and did a nice little hike up to a waterfall. One of the biggest positive aspects of the trip was our guide Pascal. He was super friendly, but not the fake friendly and humble. My daughter thought he was pretty cool too. He was very patient and was fun to go down the river with. Can't say enough good things about him. In fact I plan to take the entire family back to go do the Klamath river with Pascal next year. We had a great time. Looking forward to hitting the rivers next year. Some other fun things was the rocking jumping and just enjoying the beautiful nature. Overall a very good experience! read more

We bought a half-day run on the Trinity River and our guide had us out on the river for over five amazing hours! We didn't see one single other raft the entire time. She stopped SO.MANY.TIMES for swimming, jumping off rocks, snacks and floating down the rapids over and over. Loved how unhurried, informative and friendly she was. They made sure I understood everything I needed to know (directions to the meet up site, safety guidelines, how to properly paddle, what to do in case of an emergency) well in advance of getting on the raft. KEVIN (KJ) was the guide for the raft I was on and he was personable, funny, and provided excellent guidance as we made our way down the Trinity River. His vast knowledge of the area, focus on safety, and making sure this was the best possible experience made this an adventure I will long remember. This place may not look like much when you drive up, but it was one of the best experiences we've had as a family. It was my spouse, our 7yr old and myself. Cam was our boat master and he rocked it. He went above and beyond. Got us the best spot to eat lunch between two rapids and set everything up for us. Brought us water and delicious snacks and fruit. My GoPro fell into the river due to gopros faulty case and Cam pulled the boat right over and tried so hard to find it. Unfortunately, it was long gone but the fact that he tried meant the world to us. He even went back later with another employee (his awesome gf) and tried to find it. Highly recommend this spot. It was a great place to stop for us coming from eureka to Redding. Hope we can do it again. read more

Did the half day on the Trinity River with the owner, Pete. Super cool guy, taught us a lot about the river, rafting, and the surrounding area. Perfect for people without experience but still really fun and exciting. The spots to jump off the rocks into the river and the couple other spots where he gets you in the water for a quick swim/float are well worth getting a little cold (they provided wetsuits, probably not necessary but greatly appreciated for someone like me who doesn't love cold water). I had a great experience with this company. Me and my brother planned a trip in this area and wanted to do some kayaking. The lady I spoke with in the office made some great recommendations and was very patient as well as pleasant. When the time came to go kayaking everything went as planned our instructor was on time and waiting for us (we hit some traffic), gave us a tutorial and got us setup before turning us lose. The quality of the gear was great and overall we had a fantastic time. I wish the run we did was longer as we seemed to finish it in about 3 hours and that was with us stopping from time to time. Also it would be nice if they had some signage as to the drop off spot and where we needed to get out of the river. Not sure if this is really possible and we didn't get lost but that's what I'd recommend. Overall I recommend them and would use them again as we had a blast! read more

Great experience - simple as that. Yeah, it's a DRIVE from the coast, and Hwy 299 throws up tons of delays in getting there. We actually were almost a hour late (due to some wildfires that had popped up overnight) but 6 Rivers was great about it. No stress, no worries, and our guide Matt was fantastic. After a short safety briefing, we were off, and right off we saw a ton of wildlife. A young black bear, an osprey, some deer... our whole group was having a blast. Matt did most of the paddling, took the time to let us enjoy swimming spots, cliff jumps, and a short but filling snack midway down. And the rapids - challenging enough to be exciting but not too much that you feel overwhelmed. We took over 5 hours to finish and not once did Matt ever stress us and instead encouraged us to just enjoy and take our time. We will definitely be back! read more

Our trip was in August with lower water levels, but since we had four children it was perfect! All 8 of us loved it! The guide Pete was super sweet to our children and knew how to talk to them. He encouraged us to try new things and helped keep us safe when it mattered.
