    Charge for Damage on BMW X7 that was there before i rented car , told Agent and took picture when pick up car in Sixt rental lot see photo, with time date stamp They sent me bill auto repair shop two weeks later. I was customer of Sixt for the past two years will be going Hertz Rental car

    I am writing to warn any future client or people who are considering renting from Sixt Car rental John Wayne Airport. Here is our experience: We rented a vehicle from Sixt Car rental agency at the John Wayne Airport from June 4-11. Due a flight delay we picked up our vehicle at 9:30 pm. When we went to pick up the car we had selected, a Camry it was not available. My husband agreed to upgrade and we rented a Rav. The Sixt employee gave us the car key and told us where to pick find the car. When we walked out to the garage we could find no one to around, we visually checked the car for any major collision or body damage that stood out. We did not see anything. We got in the car and drove to our hotel, where the car was parked in a secured parking lot. The car never left the city, and every hotel we stayed in had secured parking. On June 11 we returned the car to John Wayne, the scene was chaotic in drop off. A person came by checked the tank for gas and took our keys and said have a nice day. We asked the attendant about paying for our toll road fee which we incurred on June 9 at approximately 5 pm. He told us he would get an answer for us and left. We waited around about 10-15 minutes and had to get to our flight and left. No one ever returned. No one ever conducted a walk around inspection with us, when we were given the car, nor when we dropped it off. No one ever took a walk around video of the car as they handed us the keys. On Friday morning I am shocked to find an email from Sixt Rental agency alleging that we are responsible for damage to this vehicle. They attach three shoddy photos, that are titled: Driver side Bonnet 1: Driver side Bonnet 2 and driver side Bonnet #3 They allege a 4" superficial scratch on Bonnet 1. On Bonnet 2 they allege another 4" superficial scratch and on Bonnet 3 they allege a 4" superficial scratch. As you attempt to review these photos,Photo 1 and 2 only show a bright glare, no damage and picture 3 is taken from what appears to be 5 five feet away, all you see is the rear of the car, no damage? First when I called the agency that handles these cases our is ( damage # 9078179021, rental agreement 96111605220) and asked them to explain what a bonnet is, the girl who answered, "I think it's the hood" She could not explain what these pictures were depicting or what the bonnet is. She admitted that she was not able to see any damage only glare and the distant shot of the rear of the car. When I asked her to send photos of the exact damage they are alleging in these three photos of the bonnet. She told me that she could not because my name was not on the rental agreement, my husband was the driver, I rented the car, but they refused to release any further information without getting permission from my husband, who was not available at the time since I had to wait over 40 minutes on hold just to speak to a human voice! I have since read numerous reviews about this agency and learned they are notorious for doing this type of chicanery. I am outraged and plan on filing a complaint and investigation into their practices with the California Attorney General's Office, along with the Better Business Bureau and the John Wayne Airport. I am also going to post this letter on Google Review, Trip Advisor, Yelp and any other platform of renter BEWARE of the shady practices that Sixt engages in.

    I had one of the most frustrating rental experiences with Sixt at SNA Airport on September 5, 2025. The car I was given had completely non-functional brakes, making it unsafe to drive. I contacted Sixt immediately, and while a replacement was eventually arranged, I didn't receive the new vehicle until around 2 PM the next day -- after losing nearly an entire day of my trip. To make matters worse, I've now been incorrectly charged a $17.23 toll fee (Ref#: 1088110000071835) that occurred before I even had the replacement vehicle. The timestamp shows the toll was incurred while Sixt staff were delivering the car to me, yet the charge was billed to my account. Between the safety issue, the long delay, and now a billing error, this experience has been incredibly disappointing. I expected much better service and accountability from a company like Sixt.

The staff at the counter were exceptionally professional and made the check-in process quick and easy. Additionally, I found the vehicle to be remarkably clean and it performed well throughout my trip. As someone who rents from Sixt at least seven times per year, I wanted to commend your team for consistently maintaining such incredibly high standards. While I was in Honolulu, I chose Budget by mistake. I ended up getting a sedan that had 80,000 miles on it with bad suspension. I was driving a boat on H-1, huge boat at it. After that delightful experience, I think twice. Here I am. Cali, high gas price, why don't I get a Tesla. Awesome idea but followed with lot of regrets. Got the Tesla. 1. Dirty car. Yes, sticky residue here and there. Looks like just vacuumed bit nothing was wiped. 2. Service due on lot of the required service. Yes, the dashboard said lot of the things hasn't been looked at. 3. Squeaky brakes or faulty with regenerative braking system. Wow. It was a noisy car. 4. No charge adapter. There was no adp adapter and I couldn't charge it at non Tesla station. What a hassle. At the end, I was able to charge at the Tesla Super Charge Station but waisted so much time trying to resolve it. Tesla and Budget had easy convenient billing. Didn't habe to download any apps. Reminder: think trice before selecting Budget.

This is what makes a car rental place stand out - their staff and the excellent service they provide. Needed a rental car for our LA/Disneyland trip. I booked through booking.com and got a good deal for 3 days. Upon arrival to SNA airport, Instructions were to call Green Motion (part of U Save) for shuttle pickup. Pickup area is at arrivals near banner 6. Dorothy picked us up and was very sweet! She gave recommendations and was very helpful on the 3 min ride across the street to Atrium hotel where Green Motion/U Save was located. She said the best gas station to fill up was at the nearby ARCO so it wasn't as expensive as the one next to the hotel. Checking in with Amir was very smooth and he gave us 10% off McDonald's coupons at the one near Disneyland. No issues with the Dodge Caravan. Checking out was also very smooth and they let us leave our luggage in the front desk area while we ate lunch around the area. When we got dropped off, I accidentally left my phone in the shuttle and after calling Green Motion back, Amir actually came back to give it to me! Wow I was SO grateful to him for that. He's also super nice and helpful. Thank you Green Motion/U Save (& Amir and Dorothy) for making our can rental experience convenient and easy!
