A lot of the other stores have little signs in front of them, asking you not to park in front of theirs or just putting the company name just right in front of the parking spot pulled in front of a spot that didn't have one of those. And this guy came out asking me to please move my truck after I unloaded all four of my children. My wife have my hands full and I have two kids with medical needs and I told him I couldn't just load everybody back up into my suburban and that there's no sign in front of it and I wasn't going to move my car. And then another heavier set man comes out to my car more aggressive, telling me I'd better move my car as apparently he was Mr. parking police. Do you think that I parked in front of his house at his driveway? It was so extra he looked like a giant man baby, coming out crying over me parking in front of the store front. I told him I had kids with medical needs and I wouldn't be able to load them all back up right now. I had to be somewhere so I was walking out and he threatened me that he goes. Oh, you're gonna be like that you're gonna be sorry. Still not sure what Sorry, for was as we're walking away. We see him run inside to drag out his little store sign because obviously this is the main important thing for him in his life is being a parking police, although his business only has a 3.8 rating, which means you suck already. I walk all the way across the parking lot drop off my kids with with the party we were meeting. Came walking back over to move my truck since he's threatening me. He comes out to meet me walking up and I'm just like how could you even talk to me like that in front of my kids I asked him if he was a father. He said yes I called him a pussy because he is one as he waddle back into the store acting like he was gonna hit me being a female over a parking space. It takes a real man to come get a woman's face over a parking space. He obviously needs psychological help. I wouldn't rent shit from these people. Big giant man babies don't park in my space cry, cry , cry. They can improve by being professional, not taking life so seriously not thinking they're gonna need to throw blows over a parking space whether they have a parking space in the front row or not is clearly not adding anything to their customer service with a 3.8 rating now I shall call corporate.

The price for a rental was also extremely reasonable better than a lot of other companies. Hertz at the airport was going to charge me $440 for a 5-day rental, which did not make me happy and in my view, was price gouging. I needed to find a rental car close by that was cheap, and Stop-N-Go was half the price. Ultimately, the car worked fine although the brakes were terrible and the ride nothing to write home about, but it got me where I needed to go until I picked up my new car. I got there and got a Nissan Altima and was in and out within 10 minutes. It was the fastest I ever gotten a rental. I rented it for a week but ended up holding the vehicle for an additional 2 more additional weeks because I had no idea what is going on with my car accident. BEWARE!!! My husband…read moreand I rented a 2025 Ford Transit Passenger Wagon from United Van Rentals' Irvine location (July 10-12, 2026) for a desert trip to Arizona. Before booking, we told the rep, the van would be used for a Bach trip to AZ. On 7/10, a little over an hour into our drive, the A/C stopped blowing cold air. We called and Tracy brushed it off as just being hot outside. When we pushed back, he told us to get it checked and said the company would cover a recharge if needed. We diverted to a shop in the next city - Blythe, CA. Thankfully, we found a shop that stayed open passed 5 pm for us. But they found that the car needed a compressor -- not a recharge. 11 people stuck in Blythe after 5 pm - no parts or shops open until the next day. Since then United Van Rentals stopped responding to our calls - we even emailed and called the Las Vegas location who said they'd get back to us - NOTHING. We were left to figure out how to get everyone to Scottsdale, pay for the repair, and travel in temperatures over 110 degrees with no a/c. We called numerous times after we got to Scottsdale, and still no answer, no call back, no response. I'm absolutely baffled. We complied with our contract, returned the vehicle last night, and this company still hasn't responded. They are blatantly in breach. We're out of pocket for diagnostic, taxi, substitute transportation in AZ, extended lodging, the rental fee for unusable days -- with zero communication despite repeated attempts. It truly ruined our trip, we weren't able to make our evening reservations either. We gave United Van Rentals every chance to make this right before posting. The silence after a safety issue we'd flagged is what prompted this review. Update - we finally got a response on Monday at 2 pm, after we sent a demand letter. He claims to have called me but somehow, I have no record of a call, and no voicemail.
