At the time I was using their service, the driver I would get was really funny. I used to ask for him by name. At that time, the cabs were used cars that the drivers smoked in. Not real pleasant to ride in, but the service was good. Today, I needed a ride to Meinecke Car Care Center where I had left my car over the weekend. I googled taxis, called a couple places and got outrageous price quotes ($18 for a 1.2 mile drive). Mid America did not come up in the search, so I searched for it by name. Voila! There it was -- still in business! Yay! I was quoted a price of $6.50 or $7. Perfect! So, this morning, when I was ready to go, I called and ordered a cab. The cab was newer model SUV, smoke-free and very roomy. This was my driver's second day of driving on his own. He was prompt and helped me get my basket of laundry in the cab. (Meinecke is next door to a laundromat, so I had decided to get a load done while waiting for the oil change.) He was very polite -- a lot of "yes, ma'am" "no ma'am" which prompted me to ask if he grew up in the South or had been in the military -- both, it turns out. He was very pleasant and personable. He helped carry my basket to the door of the laundromat when we got there. I was very pleased with the service and would highly recommend them to anyone.

In the week leading up to the event, I made multiple attempts to confirm details and received no response. Then, just a few hours before the scheduled pickup on the day of the event, I was informed they would not "be able to make it." This left me scrambling to arrange transportation for 20 people with almost no notice. I was forced to book another company at a higher cost, resulting in a significant additional out-of-pocket expense. I requested: * A refund of my $100 deposit After receiving no response, I followed up multiple times - still no response. The company posted on Facebook that the business had closed and that refunds would be issued within 10-15 business days after January 12. That timeframe has now passed. I followed up again on February 2 requesting a concrete update and received no response. I also attempted to request the refund via Cash App but was unable to process the request. As of today, I have not received any refund or communication. The same-day cancellation and the failure to issue promised refunds or respond to repeated professional outreach are extremely concerning. If anyone has additional contact information for the owners or insight into how refunds are being handled, I would appreciate the information.
