They do a great job taking care of all of my belongings and always return them in amazing condition, including all my silk, wool, and linen articles. Another cleaner REJECTED me because the stains on my jacket were so bad. It was stained by drinks and dirt all over it, literally looked like it was stomped on. Greetings Yelpers, I visited SK and Mr. Sarkus on a recommendation of a work buddy. I brought in items that needed an array of different treatments so I could get an idea of where the operations strengths and weaknesses were then I'd return for their strongest abilities. Brought in blazers- all lined. G Vanderbilt multi colored and then a black and mega-dark business demin Business Shirts - basic cotton, white with straight down plastic buttons Macy's white cotton blend blouses with older browning (neck and underarm) over 6 years of owning it and closet odor from being in storage. Upscale fabric white, Jones New York button down blouse sleeveless minor makeup stains around collar. Another with French cuff discoloration and specialty buttons. Dress and Peplum Career wear tops that needed Tailoring. Interaction with Mr Sarkus was absolutely great. He interacts with people and tailors like a dream. However I'm not sure who how the cleaning side of operations works. The blazers came back fine, not 'Day 1 " pristine but it looked like they had been lightly pressed. The tailoring items came back beautifully fitted so A++ on that. The items with discoloration and storage odor... looked a bit lighter around the collar but the storage odor was still there so I'm not sure if it was only spot cleaned. Usually fully laundered/chemically treated (dry cleaned) items do not smell like closet. The basic white shirt was 99c dry cleaner simple so that one came back great - don't think I should've been charged 'double digit' for it though like a blanket price. Other white items all came back with discoloration and "attempt made" signs or original perfume 'me' smell. For the shirts where "attempts" were made I was still charged a premium price. LADIES :Be mindful some places charge women higher for basic shirts no matter how simple the fabric cleaning needs are. I think I should have been offered a conversation about the "attempt made", basic or unfresh items to price them more appropriately than double digit per shirt price. Highest price is fine if the results were the highest possible also. For me, the main ideas are: the tailoring is fantastic. Don't bring basic ladies shirts here or items where you expect freshness if you aren't ok with paying double digits per shirt. If your item is already in great condition, no stains or discolorations, and is a specialty fabric, that's when I'd definitely give SK a visit. If you are looking for superhero cleaning needs then just strike that and go in with more basic expectations so you wont be disappointed. read more

For those of you who have had ONE too many shirts ruined at ZIPS and 99Cent cleaners, COME HERE. They do a BEAUTIFUL job on garments, and the prices are by FAR the lowest you get for stunning quality. He even sewed a rip in my wool winter coat for a measly $3!!!! I got a skirt, winter coat, 2 sweaters and a sewed seam ALL for about $22. THAT IS RIDONKULOUS!!!!!! I am headed there right now to drop off more stuff, and YOU SHOULD DO THE SAME. read more

SK Cleaners is a hidden gem of a tailor located next door to a tire shop. I have been a loyal customer for a little bit over a year now. Although SK Cleaners is a dry cleaner, I primarily frequent them for their alteration services as I am a petite woman and it is difficult to purchase business clothes that fit well off the rack. I really appreciate Mr. Sarkus' input and expertise. He never tries to up-sell me, and he takes the time to explain why certain items cannot be altered (usually clothing that I purchased too tight on sale). I'm always impressed by his work. He was able to take in a dress I ordered online that was two sizes too large to fit me perfectly. Dry-cleaning wise, he does a fantastic job with my clothing and wool coats. He was able to remove a dark food stain from a cherished white blouse. I once forgot a blouse and its ticket for several months, and he kindly still had it for me when I remembered a season later. If you need any work done on genuine leather, he has a specialist who picks up weekly. They were able to salvage a beautiful genuine suede jacket that got melted adhesive stuck on the front (don't ask). I honestly don't have anything negative to say. If I were to move away from here, SK Cleaners would be one of the most difficult to replace. His prices are definitely fair if you've ever had nightmare experiences with cheaper cleaners who shrink your coats or create holes in your button ups. read more

I just may have found my new favorite dry cleaners. I spend literally thousands of dollars each year on dry cleaning, and I seem to be on the constant hunt for the best place at the most reasonable price. I dropped off 17 items one afternoon on my way to Rockville, and they had it ready for me to pick up in just a few days. I think my total bill was $112, which I found to be pretty good, considering the number of silk dresses that were in my giant pile. Service is exceptional - he even called me by name and carried everything for me to my car and loaded it all on the inside-above-the-door hooks. They somehow managed to remove some clothing tape residue from one of my items that I feared could never be removed. I'll take alterations to them next and update my review. read more

I have been pretty lucky with dry cleaners in the past. I might notice that an item or two had not been perfectly cleaned or pressed, but I had never had anything ruined. I had been using another dry cleaner in Rockville for several years and was basically satisfied with their service, just not wowed and sometimes a little frustrated with how things were pressed. So I decided to try SK based on all the stellar reviews here and dropped off several pieces, including trousers, blouses, and a blazer, just before leaving for vacation. Most of the pieces came back nicely laundered and pressed and I would have been a customer for life. But there was one pair of seasonless wool pants that, when I went to put them on one morning a couple of weeks later, had several scrapes and a large tear in the outer thigh area as if they had been yanked out of a machine or from under a very heavy object. Like all the other pieces, they had been pressed and placed on a hanger. Since I had left for vacation the day after I picked up the items, I didn't notice this until I returned from my trip and went to put them on for work. I was shocked to say the least. I do not have pets or small children, and I work in an office setting where we telework most of the time and go to the office one day per week. So while the pants were not brand new, they had been worn less than a dozen times, and I would have noticed a large rip in my pants! I took the pants back to SK and shared my concern with the proprietor. As I feared, he denied having anything to do with the damage, and there was no way I could prove otherwise and decided it was certainly not worth getting into a heated discussion. But if the tear had been present when the pants were dropped off, I have to wonder why SK wouldn't have put them aside and brought this to my attention rather than charge me to have them serviced. Why would they go ahead and carefully press a pair of pants with a large rip, and then allow me to pick them up with not so much as a comment to say that they were damaged upon arrival? So my advice to anyone dealing with this business is to be careful. They seem to know what they are doing and are probably quite good at it. But I would definitely recommend that you carefully check your items when you pick them up, either before you carry them out, or immediately upon returning to your car and before leaving your parking space, especially if you are a new customer. read more

I went to S.K. Cleaners based on the fabulous reviews on Yelp. I had several extremely expensive, high-end pieces that I needed to have dry cleaned so I really wanted to make sure I brought them to a reliable, professional cleaning service. That said, I DEEPLY regret my decision - and will NEVER be back to this cleaners again. After dropping off my items, they said the items would be ready in 1 week. I'm accustomed to next-day service and much cheaper prices, but given that these were delicate, the extra time and money needed was ok by me as long as the quality of service would be stellar (as the reviews on Yelp indicated). I came back 1 week later only to discover that 2 of my items were still not ready. I came back AGAIN 1 week later, and still not ready - which is when I got extremely nervous that something was wrong..something they weren't telling me. Sure enough - after prying for information - I discovered the belt to my Via Spiga raincoat AND the intricate buttons to my Talbots suit coat were missing. I kept calling back day after day to see if all was found and I could pick-up my items, and finally, they said I could come back for pick-up. When I did, more disappointment and anxiety ensued...the raincoat was not properly dry cleaned and basically looked the same as when I left it. Actually, WORSE then when I left it because they did NOT find the right belt that came with the coat. They tried to pull a fast one on me, and put in a different sub-quality belt hoping that I wouldn't notice. Luckily, I have pictures of me with that coat, to verify that it is, in fact, NOT the belt. This is by-far the worst experience I've ever had at a dry cleaners and am still deeply upset that my Via Spiga raincoat is ruined forever. In terms of quality rating from my own experience, I would rate this cleaners below average across the board...
