Unfortunately, today was a completely different story. We understand that safety rules exist for a reason, but the consistency and attitude from the staff today were awful. First, one staff member kindly asked me to separate my kids into different sections of the bowl so they wouldn't bump into each other because they are " inexperience" he said. I happily complied. Shortly after, another staff member came over with an angry tone and stated that only one kid could be in the bowl at a time. If that is the policy, that's fine but the staff needs to be on the same page, and they certainly don't need to be mean. It really felt like my kids were being singled out and penalized just for not being expert skateboarders yet. Super discouraging environment today.

We were a bunch of misfits, all gathered for a chance to play this wonderful team sport. When I joined, our fearless leader stated he didn't expect us to be good but he expected that we have fun. How do you say no to that! I learned how to play this game and the nuances of the rules compared to baseball. Above all else, I got to meet so many new people through our games and pick up games. Went in to take a piss, and in the handicap stall, there was literal human shit all over the fucking floor, and it was wet as hell from piss and who the hell knows what else. How do you create ONE bathroom for a park this size, and how do you not include a urinal? It was NASTY as hell and the city should be ashamed of what was in there on Friday night. Disgusting! As far as the fields, pretty nice and well maintained. Still 1 star for that bathroom and parking situation.

However, it is on the longer side, so I recommend coming prepared for a bit of distance. The views definitely make it worth it though. You can always ditch and go back to your car at any point if you find the hike too long. One of my favorite parts is that there are some great coffee shops you can stop by near different access points along the loop. The area also feels very safe. Overall, this is a perfect go-to trail if you're looking for something scenic and easy.

This little plot of land feels like a nature oasis, easily accessible, but hidden from the craziness that's Southern California. While I still enjoy a relaxing walk here, I've recently started paddle boarding the Newport Back Bay. I couldn't list a better location for paddleboarding. It feels like it's just you, the ocean, and tons of wildlife. You'll stumble upon jumping fish, crabs, stingray, and all types of unique birds. Such an incredible escape, crazy that it's right in the center of Newport Beach.

Bought a ramp from OC Ramps with the promise it would be shipped in 5 days. By the time I realized…read moretheir vague wording actually meant "Leaves the factory in 5 days" it didn't matter because it still hadn't left the factory a week later. Fast forward to 30 or so days later and the ramp is set to be delivered today. All is well until I get a call that the delivery company can't make it up to my house, his truck is too big. Note: Not every neighborhood can accommodate an 18 wheeler. Since I couldn't accommodate the delivery truck's window for a 2nd attempt the shipping company sent the ramp back to OC Ramps, informing me that I'd have to call them and schedule a new delivery. For better or worse in this waiting period my son hurts his ankle, aggravates an old injury. He decides maybe he doesn't want this (phantom) ramp after all. That's fine I think and call to cancel the order. They want me to pay $340 for shipping. That's a lot but ok, and oh yeah that's just cost for shipping TO my house. They also want me to pay return shipping. But wait, it was already returned to you guys, because delivery fell through because of the wrong truck guy. No you have to pay return shipping. AND IT WILL COST OVER $600. You guys are crazy, why would you have me pay this? It was already returned. Also, that's a questionably high shipping cost for a palette of wood. No you have to pay it. You have to pay $1000 in total for shipping costs on a ramp it took us a month to not actually deliver to you, a ramp that incidentally has already been returned because of a screw up by our delivery company. Add to that some disappointing customer service encounters and yeah these guys actually get no stars from me. $1000 delivery costs for a ramp they took a month to never actually deliver. In a word, sketch.

Very big and has pretty much everything you need. 5-6 baseball fields, archery range, soccer field, playground, lake for fishing, courts, areas for parties, etc... There are winding paths for walking and running, so I saw a lot of people using those. However, also a lot of people walking and running in the road, so drive slowly and watch out for pedestrians. One negative is it costs $5 to park and I think $10 on holidays. What sucks is there are no in and out privileges, so if you have to leave for some reason, you have to pay another $5 when you come back. You can just park on Euclid as many people do so. Overall, a pretty nice and quiet park. If i lived nearby, i would come more often as it is a pretty nice and scenic place to work out or just get away from the busy city.
