The train was cute. It smelled like gas exhaust the whole way, but it has a nice big track, and they take them around twice. The putt putt could have used a bit of shade on the yellow course, but it was nice that there were 3 courses. Too bad everyone wanted to play the shady course, so we all had to wait for big parties to finish between holes. This park could use some updating but it's great for small children.

I took the family (loving wife and two children) for surf lessons a little bit ago. The instructor, Danny, was late to our lesson and didn't really teach our kids how to surf. Instead he spent the majority of the time drawing pictures in the sand. The majority of the other staff seemed to reek of marijuana. This caused my wife great concern since these people are supposed to be in the water keeping the guests safe and instead were impaired! The photographer was incredibly rude and unhelpful, telling us to "Go online" when we asked to purchase the photos of our children's surf session. They did have a shop dog who was cute, until he urinated on the floor. The food staff were incredibly dismissive of my wife's order. Not to mention, the food was cold. I requested a refund due to the lackluster service and experience, however, they only credit. Surf Ranch in California serves as a more desirable alternative, especially if you want a more wholistic experience.

My family enjoyed exploring all of the exhibits, starting with the fun showcase of college fight songs that got everyone in the spirit. We wrapped up our visit at the Southwest Conference (SWC) display, which has something for fans of every university. The sports simulators were a big hit with our whole family -- especially trying to throw amazing pitches in the baseball game and shooting baskets into the space station-themed basketball hoop. It was the perfect blend of history, hands-on fun, and Texas sports pride. Highly recommend for families, sports fans, and anyone looking for something unique to do in Waco!

The pro shop is filled with great merchandise, the grill was great and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Waco you don't know what a treasure you have. Hands down better than any city owned course we have in Austin!
