Don't book a birthday party here. They'll nickel and dime you to the tune of $600+ for absolutely nothing but an endless list of rules and pizza worse than poorly baked DiGiorno. 20 kids? Yeah, you only get three pitchers of soda no matter the count. Otherwise it's $6 each. That awful DiGiorno? If your 20 kids eat more than 3 pizzas, each additional is $20. Want adults to attend (aunts? Uncles? Babysitters?) Too bad, need to pay for them too or else. Greeeeeedy. Rentals are included? Not guide bars for the little kids, you pay extra! AND NO CHEWING GUM OR IT'S STRAIGHT TO THE EXIT WITH YOU. The horror! Want a more fun party? Just buy a confetti blaster and shoot your kid in the face instead. Thank me later. read more

We rented out the building for the evening and I do wish we could of brought some of our own food besides cake/cupcakes but things went flawless. A few years ago was a very nice family oriented place, now customer service is Trash. I came with 5 children 2 adults paid for entrance fee and skates spent $20 on food - 1 slushy is $5.50 was told I couldn't have an additional cup with a lid to pour a little drink for my youngest child. I was told by the manger nothing is free. I offered $1 for the empty cup and was told $2.50. Dammmm shame! DO NOT Come here. You are treated like less than human. save your money and skate somewhere you are treated as a valued customer !!!!!! read more

Here we go again I've tried 5 times to book a birthday party/drop off deposit only for them to be closed to wierd hours okay fine. I called over the phone and the guy booked it told me to come Wednesday he will take my money. Told him my daughter has gymnastics up the street if I can come quick after 5 he said yes call when you get here. I did, no answer. Went back to gymnastics then back to skateaway at 5:54 and called again the guy on the phone said we open at 6. So my 3 year old and I had to stand outside in a long line, come in get temperatures taken the guy said sit over there ill be with you after we let everyone in 15 mins later I go over and say sorry but how long will this take i have other kids at home its after 6 I'm just trying to drop off money, I've tried 5 times. And he goes well this is business what do you want me to do I need to get people through the door.( he was literally taken items people brought for donations and setting them on a table, while 2 others took temps and 1 other did register) I said well you don't want my business or my party? I don't understand I'm here to give you money all I want is to just drop off my money you took all my info over the phone just take my payment! You told me to come here before opening and you would help me? I got bitchy bc at this point I'm annoyed of the run around. After arguing with me that letting people thru the door is business too he goes fine come in here takes me in the office and slams papers down. Not happy with it here. I only spent 20 minutes and I was just purely unsatisfied. Waiting to get a pass to go in took a bit of time, but getting the rentals took at least a 10 minute wait. Instead of being friendly, they just kinda acted as if they were there. Very dull. It was really annoying having to wait so long to get skates, or even switching sizes because no one was at the booth. It wasted so much time. The music was not that great, either. Yes some people may enjoy it, but it didn't have that "having a blast!" Kind of vibe. When skating, I prefer to listen to things that everyone knows, or at least everyone can have fun to. This was just very boring. You also could not really do anything on the skate floor without getting correction over the loud speaker. Many people will go to the wall if they feel like they are about to fall or just to stand there to gain stability. If you did this, the person loud speaker would say you can not do such thing, and that you had to get off the floor. During games, such as four corners, knowing the basic rules, they were deeply enforced. Instead of having fun, the rules were definitely strict for those to "get off the floor." I felt no fun whatsoever here. Last but not least, when you love to skate, vibing is a major thing. Dancing and enjoying your time (trying to go backwards or just taking things slow to enjoy your surroundings, wasn't even allowed. This one guy was having a ball just dancing around, but got called out to stop and just go forward. I understand to keep things safe and prevent collisions, but if that person is good with skates and knows what they are doing, they too need to have fun. I felt like it was extremely limited here, along with slow pace. I didn't have any fun. read more

I come here every week, don't listen to the other reviews. Skateaway has lots of activity's with songs from slow dances and backward dances. You should really try this place out! read more

Such rude employees. Was waiting at the skate rental side for over 15 minutes while there were 4 people in the DJ booth. They only have 1 kind young man skating back and forth between the rental side and the food consession section . The lady saw me and other people waiting and she took so long then went back to the booth while other people were waiting with me. They allowed a random stranger to yell at my 2 sons instead of coming to us the ADULTS. They chased my sons and said they were going to call the cops. Told them talk to me instead of my kids since they were involving police and it turns out they were upset over a hoodie. Very unprofessional and would go to big wheel instead. Horrible experience, was only there for 20 minutes. Never Again. read more

Here for a bday party!, not bad! Great music, clean and fun. Water faucets are horrid, have to hold it in while trying to properly wash hands. Boy, do I have a story for you! I went tonight to go rollerskating with my friend. We get to the rink around 7:40. We pay $18 for two people! We go to get our skates, and 5 minutes later we're skating. My friend is wearing leggings, obviously not having pockets... So she is holding her phone in her hand, not using it. On our second lap around, a lady, not sure of what her name is, told us that we are not allowed to have electronics on the rink. We both say, "Okay." She points to my friend, who is Mexican and says, "And you can come with me and sit for 30 minutes. We do not tolerate attitude here." Obviously being a racist, my friend ended up sitting in "time out" for 40 minutes. Not sure if this is legal? But time-outs aren't listed on the rules. I would've went to a day-care instead of this dump... At least she would've been treated like a, "human-being." read more

Sorry, but while kids enjoy skating, this place is old, dirty and needs a facelift. The music is too loud and the skates are old and stinky. The bathrooms are atrocious and I think they have the same carpets from when I was a kid skating here...30 years ago!! However since there really is nothing nice around here for skating we're stuck and they can get away with it. Hopefully someone can take it over and give it a makeover! It's time. read more
