Lauren is, hands down, the best pet sitter I have ever worked with. She is an experienced certified veterinary technician that has a soft spot for nursing the medically complicated pets that she takes care of. Unfortunately, both cats that she used to watch for me have now passed, but honestly, I cannot see myself ever hiring any other pet sitter for any future pets. My past cats were, to put it simply, medical disasters. My male kitty, Goodman, had no teeth, deformed eyes, and bad arthritis. He needed 7 meds every night. My female kitty, Malloy, had GI disease, thyroid disease, and kidney disease. I've lost count how many meds she needed at night, but one of her most important meds was subcutaneous fluids every night for years. They both had heart disease and were on special diets. Malloy often needed to be hand fed in order to eat at all. Lauren not only took care of them their medical need but helped them thrive whenever we were away. And that's the thing: I don't know if we could have ever gotten away on vacation without Lauren. As one could imagine, it was pretty nerve wracking to leave such fragile cats alone. What if one of them got really sick? What if we hired someone who forgot to give a medication, or who wouldn't take the time to hand feed Malloy? Well, Lauren not only did that, but she actually caught on to Malloy's kidney disease before I did. She sent us a message that Malloy seemed to have some decreased energy and a bit of a decreased appetite. That prompted us to weigh her, and we found she had lost nearly half of a pound. When we took her to the vet, sure enough: she had kidney disease. Because of Lauren's sharp eye, we were able to catch it early and make some treatment adjustments to help Malloy live a longer and more comfortable life. But not only does Lauren take good medical care of your kitties, but she also takes care of your worries by keeping you updated with lots of pictures and text updates, so you know exactly what's going on while you're away. Actually, some of my favorite pictures ever taken of my cats came from Lauren. (I've attached a few here so you can get an idea.) She really takes the time to get to know your pet, and how to interact with them in a way that they're most comfortable with. She will play with them to provide enrichment, give them a brushing if they like that, or simply sit with them. I honestly don't know if I will ever trust anyone else like I do Lauren with my future pets. I cannot recommend her enough, and if you are in need of a pet sitter, especially if you have complicated pets, then Lauren is the person for you. read more

Lauren is AMAZING! She watched our two cats while we were gone for a week.
