ABPS has been caring for our dogs since 2017. They have an awesome team. They are reliable and provide excellent care for our dogs as well as excellent customer service. Our current caregiver is Krystal. Krystal has been caring for our dog Riley for almost 5 years. Krystal has been great with Riley. Riley has had a few health problems come up in the past year. Among these problems was a cyst that burst. When this happened, Krystal called us right away. We came home from work immediately. By the time we had arrived (about 30 minutes after Krystal's call), Krystal had reached out to ABPS and arranged for a vet tech to come to our house. The tech cleaned and bandaged the wound. We were able to get Riley to an emergency veterinarian right away. Krystal is great at calling or sending an email when she has concerns about Riley's health and well-being. If anything comes up that seems unusual, Krystal reaches out right away. Krystal knows Riley so well that she can sense when something seems wrong. With Krystal's care and judgement, we know that Riley is safe and in good hands. Krystal also does so many other helpful things. She will bring in the trash and recycling bins; bring in Amazon packages and other deliveries. She will also take some wonderful photos of Riley to share with us. In sum, Krystal is an exemplary caregiver. We feel very lucky that she is the person who looks after Riley each day while we are at work. Krystal is an exemplary member of an exemplary team. I was originally recommended to Above & Beyond Pet services by another customer in my neighborhood. I was impressed by their reviews and website at first however what I have learned is that if you have a larger breed dog or an imperfect in any way dog - this is not the company for you. I have two Siberian Huskies. Two sled dogs. Two energetic dogs. Which was apparently too hard to handle for the walkers in this company. Mind you, I have walked my dogs, had college students walk my dogs, even my 6 year old daughter can walk them after the first few minutes. They are strong but settle in and walk well on leash. They don't lunge, don't bark, and they get along with other dogs. When I brought up the fact that my dogs weren't being walk to the owner Ted, he suggested I spend more money for two private walks or get training for my dogs. During our conversation it became very clear he wasn't even sure which dog he was talking about and made comments about my dogs that weren't true. Stating my dogs are aggressive and that they weren't allowed to be socialized which was never said. I had a third dog that was not under their care who were those things but not the two they were supposed to be caring for. I was informed that the time his staff was in my house is what I was paying for, regardless of if my dogs were walked or not, which in 6 months they never were. Fast forward to our encounter last month - I had forgotten to pay my final bill. I'm a working single mother with a thousand things going on. Ted calls me to ask for payment - at the time I was currently waiting for an in home vet to arrive as I suddenly had to put down my oldest dog. I was distraught, going through one of the worst days of my life, but Ted had no empathy for the situation, in fact ended his follow up email with "I hope you enjoy the rest of your day". Fast forward to today - Ted calls and threatened to take me to small claims court over the "unpaid fees" for the services that were never provided. As a "dog walking service" you would assume the services would include a walk. While I take full responsibility for the fact that I allowed as much time to go by before rendering payment which was unacceptable, the lack of empathy and professionalism from this company was extremely disappointing. After all that happened - Ted's final email ended with "I hope you and your three dogs found a better match". My third dog is dead. Which if this man paid any attention to his customers or even the previous emails he would have known that. I am left with a feeling of anger and frustration. All Ted cares about is the money and it shows. read more

I have used A and B pet services several times and they have provided excellent care for my cat, feeding and giving her injections 2x/day for up to 2 weeks. They keep the litter boxes clean as well. I have confidence that all will be well with my cat when I return home, as they send me pictures and a short note after every visit. Above & Beyond used to truly go above and beyond, but over the last few years the quality of their service has dropped below what is promised. They stay about 15 minutes for our cat (shown by our home security system), and there have been a few instances where they didn't even lay eyes on our cat for several days according to their emails. Photos sent rarely include any of our critters and are mostly of the litter and water bowls. We will be going elsewhere in the future. read more

I always know my cats are in great hands when she is caring for them. She also was one of the people who helped out one of my sick cats a few months ago while I was out of state. We love Nate! My dog, Doc, can be a pain in the butt to walk (he likes to pull and go nuts around other dogs). We were really worried about using any dog walking service, but decided to come here as we had them sit our cats a few years back (also a great experience). For the first few weeks, every time I'd get home after Doc would have his walk, Doc would get so excited when people would walk by our apartment door. He's never done this and the only way I can explain it would be to say that he thought Nate was coming back and was so excited. Nate always left us notes letting us know how it went and whether or not he used the bathroom. When checking our security camera after their walks, Doc would sit in front of the bedroom door, wait until he heard Nate leave, and then go pass out on the bed. Whatever they did/wherever they went on their walks, it absolutely tired him out! We'll definitely be coming back next time we need a dog walker. read more

Be aware that Above and Beyond is not flexible or responsive to the needs of some animals. My cat is anxious and can get agressive if scared so he needs to get to know a care giver to be comfortable. Not unusual for animals really. I asked Above and Beyond for consistent care from one or two caregivers and was told that's not how their business operates. They seem to prioritize staff schedules to maximize the number of animals they service. Really surprising since they are supposed to be animal lovers. read more

Alex is very professional, warm, and dependable. she calls to let me know approximately when she will arrive. She also is careful to latch the gate and secure the stone, so it won't blow open. We have had many over the several years we've used them, and we've been so pleased. Keith, one of the caregivers who regularly walks our beagles, is outstanding.
