Great selection of gear at this ski shop. Wyatt was helpful picking out helmets and explaining different price range options for goggles too. Matt was awesome walking us through various powder skis. Ski N See customer service has dramatically improved since my previous visit years ago. I recently dropped off three pairs of skis for tuning in preparation for the ski season. Brody was fantastic and answered all of my questions. When I picked up my skis the following week, the employee on staff did some additional tuning for me after noticing some rust they'd missed on the tips. The guys that works here are awesome. They made renting ski equipment seamless and easy. We are a big family so when we came to pick up our equipment, they were prepared, had each of our family members fitted right away, had one guy stationed to collect our information, had another for sizing, then had several guys getting all of our equipment. They even labeled our names with all of our equipment so when we put them in the SUV, we knew exactly who they were for. They ran out of size for my ski pants, but thankfully they had a 10% seasonal sale so bought one for myself and away we went!! Love that they have a huge inventory on rentals as well as for sale items too. They even carried camera holder equipment so you can record your video and attached it on to your helmet. Went in just for a wax for my girlfriends skis and went to pay for it and usually for my card Apple Pay i am able to bypass the pin but for their machine it wasn't working. I had some friends learn 2 ski recently and we decided to get skis, poles, and boots from this place rather than renting from the ski resort. The prices are really reasonable, especially if you book online. It was super easy to reserve, the staff were really friendly, and the drop off was super convenient. What is also nice is they have coats and helmets to borrow if needed. Plan to return in the future when I have guests in town who want to ski for a short period of time. read more

My Son and I went to the Ft Union location wanting to rent a set of skis. Staff directed us to the computer, one question was ( height of skier) I picked up a measuring tape off the counter and was stopped by a staffer. He said "you can't use that tape measure because of a liability" I replied you re asking for the height of the skier and I don't know without using a measure device such as this tape measure. The staffer told me to put in the shortest height and to not use the tape measure.. I was told if I didn't know how to read the tape measure correctly they (Ski N See) would be held liable, and I could sue them. I was just trying to fill out the info correctly... I asked who runs this store and all 4 employees turned around and walked away. I cleared my info from the computer and walked out. I don't know who provides training if any to the staff at this location or any of their locations but will not spend a penny in this store. When I'm visiting in Utah, I rent my equipment here at Ski N' See before. This year I was convinced to Ski, so I reserved my ski equipment on-line because they discount the rental by 20% with a 2-day minimum. I had rented the performance ski package that include skis, boots and poles. I was asked to try on one boot for size then gave it back to the guy so he can adjust the bindings for my size and weight. I believe I was in and out in approximately 15 minutes. They also carry discounted lift tickets to local ski resorts. When I got to ski resort, the boots did not buckle up. Now I had to scramble to the resorts rental department to get it fixed. They were very helpful in fixing the boots. They also said that they get a lot of people with problems from in-town rental places like me. This chain of rental houses should be more serious about customer service and quality of products that they rent to people. While I was there, another customer needed another boot size, but all they didn't have it and to return before they close, hoping another customer will return the size he needed. I think I will rent from the ski resorts and pay the additional $3 for better equipment and service. read more

My son had a school ski trip and this shop is where we were assigned to pick up our rentals. It literally took less than 10 minutes and was a great experience. As i filled out the rental form at the counter, another gal was already measuring my son's stinky feet and getting him in skis and boots that fit him. By the time I was done with the form, we were ready to leave. One day rental for a kid with just skis and boots was just $15, with $2 more for insurance. It was a breeze and i would definitely come here again if I need to rent equipment. read more

I was recommended to go here for good prices for ski gear for myself and my kid who is starting to ski this year... so we literally needed everything. We drive all the way from Millcreek in a crazy snow storm with my 3 year old and baby. There were 3 guys sitting at the desk. 1 greets me and asks what he can help me with - I start answering, "women's goggles, ski clothes for him, ski rental..." he stopped me, took a phone call and said he would be with me shortly. Totally fine, I'll start looking myself and wait. So my son and I are wandering around the store looking for gear, can't find the right size of anything for him. While all 3 of the guys working are not acknowledging or helping us and the guy who was on the phone who asked what he could help me with was just sitting at the front desk. There wasn't a single other customer in the store (it was a crazy blizzard day and we were the only desperate people needed ski stuff that day). We walked right out after 20 minutes of being ignored. Went to Christy Sports and 2nd Track Sports where we found wonderful service and spent a whole lot of money. Rented his skis at Wasatch Ski Connection (great deal super friendly with kids). It's hard enough lugging my kids around town, but to drive all that way in the terrible weather to be completely ignored would make any parent peeved. It all worked out in the end though. read more

Decent prices for tuning and waxing but rough quality and service. Twice now I have dropped my skis off by 3pm with them telling me they'll be waxed by 8am the next morning. The first time they weren't done until the next day after (bc of a rush). The second time, I call them, they tell me they were currently working on my skis and they'd be done within the hour. Two hours later I still didn't get a text from them so I showed up. My skis have not been touched. They claim they're next and the pro is on a break. Not coming back. Do not recommend. This was the 3rd store I went to to buy goggles for my husband as a present. Best advice, selection and inventory. Other stores really did not help much. Lance was patient, really friendly and had great advice. Then decided to look at snowboard boots for myself to replace 18y old ones. Same here. PETE is the man (and Truman in the Millcreek store is his protege)! He patiently worked to fit me in the proper ski boot after my tortuous experience in rentals on the mountain earlier that week. This man knows what he is talking about and was much more concerned with ensuring that I was comfortably fit in the proper boot than he was making the sale (which thereby ensured that he will make a sale as soon as they hunt down my size). We also rented snowboards and boots from my son while here. The experience was simple and efficient. Couldn't ask for better. We will absolutely be back to this store for all of our gear needs any time we are in the area. read more

Some of the best customer service I have ever received! When I walked in I was greeted, and directed toward the rentals. After filling out the paperwork their employee (Ryan) took the time to discuss me the different rental options and made recommendations based on my skill level. He then measured and fit my boot. He literally got on the ground and helped me to put on the foot and ensure that I had the proper fit, and even explained how to tell if the fit was right, and how to operate the equipment. I was exceedingly impressed with his time and attention. When I returned the equipment it was the same thing, I was greeted when I entered the store and my return was processed quickly and efficiently. Everyone that I interacted with was knowledgeable and helpful. Their prices are fair, and it is great that they have a number of options based on budget and level of expertise. I would absolutely recommend this as the place to go for ski rentals. read more

Went in today for the first time and really liked it here. Has all of your ski and snowboard needs. I felt like the prices were fairly reasonable-although they did have some sales going. The guys inside are pretty knowledgable. One helped me pick out some goggles. Got some gloves too. Now I am ready to become one with the mountain. They do rentals here and sell discounted lift tickets for the local resorts which is a plus. Helps when you want to beat the lines once you get up there. The pre-booking discount was only 15% but I had a coupon from the car rental place for 20% so I used that instead. Also, got a lift ticket for Alta which was discounted $5 off the price at the resort. read more

We ordered ahead to get the internet discount on rentals and bought our lift tickets in the store. They carry good selection of other equipment and supplies for anything you forget. Wow, in my 10 plus years of living in Utah being a snow sport consumer, I've never had such a horrible experience as I just had in the cottonwood heights location. I came in just after 10 am this morning to see if I could rent ski bindings as a solo rental because I was recently given skis as a gift but don't have bindings. The sales associate informed me they don't rent bindings alone because lower quality or damaged skis could damage them, makes perfect sense. The cheapest bindings were a little more than I wanted to spend today as I just booked a luxury international trip and I'm a snowboarder anyway but thought it would be fun to ski and see how goofy I looked and am always up for a good challenge. I then got set up for a demo snowboard rental and tried on the boots and filled out the paperwork, everything but they were having technical difficulties and it didn't matter bc I wasn't going to pick up the board until 4:00pm anyway for a Saturday ski day. I went to pick up the board and it had vanished, out of sight and nobody could find it, they kept asking me my last name, even had the audacity to ask if I was sure it was this location. Yes you stoned imbecile, I'm certain I physically got in my car from sugarhouse and drove to cottonwood heights and went through this whole process 6 hours ago. This is not what infuriated me, I've worked in services industry jobs on all levels and even have taken medical courses in college about communication, the manager that looks like a vegan carrot top gave me attitude when I was clearly frustrated about this situation as if I was in the wrong in any sort of way on any sort of level. I'm genuinely dumbfounded because I came in this morning purposely to avoid all of this headache because I have dinner plans with my girlfriend that I'm now late for, so I really appreciate that. They offered a discount which to me a full comp probably wouldn't even get me to ever return to one of these establishments but any company the owners are involved in bc clearly they don't have any communication and customer service training. He took literally zero accountability for him or his employees and he is the manager. I get to the counter and I was informed of my 10% discount LMFAO, 10% of a $42 rental, y'all really should be nominated for best in state. I've comped food bills that were over $150 because loser , derelict customers come in to purposely complain for free food over the smallest stuff. Thanks for the dollars you saved me for being late to the dinner, I may be able to buy a PBR on the mountain. I just booked a trip in a hotel that's $700 a night just for the room and the 10% is so insulting that if there wasn't a family in there I would have cussed him out bc unlike him I have class and wouldn't cause a scene in a place of business in front of other customers. I would like to pay the 10% back then was so generously given. Tell 130 pound homie that is all bark and no bite, when I come in to return my board tomorrow evening to check out my ears and he may change his tone before I come back there and give him a wedgie. Shit happens man, I get it, I'm not even mad at the kid that clearly rented it to someone else. I came in this morning to literally avoid and all headache and ginger was seriously raising his voice to me and took zero accountability for the situation and I even apologized for losing my cool over their mistake and not a single employee did, astonishing. Rented skis for my BF and I for 2 days from there and also purchased a pair of ski goggles at the same time. In the process of grabbing and loading everything up we left the googles on the counter. When we unloaded everything and realized we were missing them I immediately returned to the store approximately an hour and a half later. The young woman at the front counter said she did not see us leave any googles and when I asked her to check the cameras she said they don't have any on the register. I spoke with the manager the next day after I did not get a call back that day explaining what happened. They refuse to refund us the money or give us a new pair. I asked if he had any cameras that would show we did not leave with the googles and once again I was told no and that it was our loss. At this point I know we are out of the money and the goggles but just wanted to prove we are not lying. Not sure what kind of store doesn't have security cameras on the register or entrance atleast. read more

Great customer service, prices, and selection! We made reservations online at another Ski N See location but ended up having a bad experience (they never actually reserved our stuff!) We called this location and they were awesome! On short notice they set aside everything we needed and gave us an extra discount for our trouble. We had five people in our party and every employee was helpful and friendly. We've rented from Ski N See twice and would recommend it to anyone. Next time we're in Utah we'll be back! read more

Great experience. I love that you're able to reserve your skis online plus they allow you to pick up the night before (after 4PM) and drop off the day after (before 10AM) without any extra charge. This makes it so easy to get your skis back without being charged an arm and a leg! It took a bit of time to pick up my rentals on a Friday night due to all the employees helping getting people rentals, so there was nobody manning the cash register. I had the rentals ready to go within 10 minutes, but ended up waiting at the cash register for awhile so that I could pay. Other than that, the process was smooth and painless. I took the skis back the next day, they looked them over and then I was out the door! I will definitely use Ski N See again! They have a few different packages so you can get setup really cheap or splurge on a better ski if you're wanting to get into some harder terrain. The store also has plenty of gloves, helmets, clothing, goggles, etc if you're needing anything else for your ski day. I thought the prices on the other gear was very reasonable as well. read more
