Nice to have an outdoor store/hotel/skate park/cafe/bouldering gym/yoga studio/rooftop bar all in one space. I was staying at the adjoining hotel for work, and forgot gym shorts in case I wanted to do one of the yoga classes being offered, so popped into the evo store to see what options I might have. They had some good ones, including Vuori and other top brands of quality shorts. Unfortunately, I've spent my limit on fancy gym apparel this year and was looking for more budget options which I couldn't find here. I ended up doing weight lifting in normal shorts, which I'm only now realizing is not a big deal after having done it. Staff was friendly, and there was some sort of shop dog which always makes for an enhanced experience. They had other cool stuff and if you're into outdoor living in Salt Lake, this feels like a spot to check out for sure. read more

There were three boot salesmen standing together, and after browsing and waiting for about 10 minutes, I had to walk up and ask for help myself. Even then, I had to repeatedly ask for assistance with basic questions. The staff didn't seem very approachable or knowledgeable about fundamental boot sizing and fitting, which is especially important when purchasing snowboard boots. I walked into evo with 20 minutes until closing on a Sunday night. What I was met with was great service, selection, and value. Previously on this day, I had checked out a demo ski shop with super overpriced gear that did not reflect its actual value. I've been shopping around for skis on marketplace, and let me tell you... STOP. RIGHT. NOW. Why aren't you going to evo?? Evo has the best deals in town, literally. I left evo with a moderately scratched pair of 2022 Solomon QST 98's (demo skis) for less than $200. At another shop, they had quoted me almost $500 for an absolutely wrecked pair of the same skis (2024) and I just recently discovered the same pair of 2022's at that same shop (not sure on damage) for $250. Not to mention, evo had friendly, informative staff that got me out of there before closing. Gavin is the best boot fitter ever. So glad I listened to his professional advice! He helped me with boot fitting and a custom insole. I have a huge tailors bunion on both feet and I wear all of my shoes size 10.5 to give enough room to my bunions. I did the same with my snowboard boots. Which is too big and my feet slid around in the boots causing pain. I had to rest my feet after every run and it's just miserable. After measuring my feet, Gavin advised me to go down to 8.5 and recommend me the Ride Lasso Pro. He then helped me to stretch out the boots where my bunions lay and the pain instantly reduced, I'm somewhere like 7/10 pain free! As I break into these boots I will feel less pain. Evo will never get my family's business ever again. I went in there and bought brand new bent 90s and bindings. The bindings broke on my second run. We concluded that the bindings were too weak for my skiing style and they should have never been recommended to me in the first place. I took them back to get them fixed and they gave me an extremely hard time throughout the whole process. Dani was extremely rude to me when I came back to drop my boot off. She made rude and snarky comments such as "I've heard all about you" "I'm sure you were a 'dream' to speak with" "mommy and daddy won't be here to speak for you your whole life" and was not treating my brand new skis with respect. She was rough with them and dragged them across the ground. I do not appreciate this type of disrespect and I will never take my business to Evo ever again. read more

We purchased skis, boots, and bindings (all separately) from the Evo team in March (amazing experience). We brought in the equipment to get the bindings on the skis with the right boot size- all serviced and ready for ski season! Sean, crazy awesome, met us at the door and helped immediately! He carried our equipment up the stairs (yep- I'm old), confirm we purchased the correct ski equipment based on our ski level, and set us up with the service team. EVO. . We were in SLC to ski and board the Cottenwoods. I was having boot problems with some two yr old Salamons. Our group of 7 stopped in here just for some bibs for a couple guys. We were from Cali and everyone had gear, but not powder gear. 4 of our group ended up with new boards. While they were doing their thing I hit up one of their ski experts Jerry to just ask him what could be the problem with my boots. He was so cool. He said "go get your boots and let me look". That was the first cool gesture. Then he ripped my boots apart and saw and uncovered grommet that was pressing pressure through the liner and into my ankle bone. He added some K Flex tape and pressed out a hard spot in the liner that was covering my ankle bone. I imagine it was the simplest repair but SAVED MY TRIP. I was in need of a road bike rental, preferably a high performance model that could also handle some gravel roads. In a city that is mountain bike crazy this is tough, but evo had the bike for me! I recently bought a pair of ski boots from evo based on a fitting by rei. I wore the boots on a ski trip and quickly realized that they were too large for my foot. Three insoles and a lot of shin/ankle pain later, I made an appointment for boot fitting at evo. I was extremely lucky to have Kylie as my boot fitter. She completed a thorough assessment, including asking me about my riding style and ability, and helped me realize that I needed to size down to improve my performance in the mountains. Having a very short, narrow foot, it is difficult to find ski boots that fit well. Kylie went out of her way to search the entire in-store and online inventory while also keeping my budget in mind. I ordered the boots she recommended and went back in today for a second boot fitting. Jerry explained the technical aspects of both boots and helped me choose the perfect one while offering suggestions for additional modifications. Hands down, I have had my best boot-fitting experiences at evo. Kylie and Jerry provided me with excellent customer service and offered a wealth of knowledge and expertise along the way.
