    Ski boot selection at evo

I walked into evo with 20 minutes until closing on a Sunday night. What I was met with was great service, selection, and value. Previously on this day, I had checked out a demo ski shop with super overpriced gear that did not reflect its actual value. I've been shopping around for skis on marketplace, and let me tell you... STOP. RIGHT. NOW. Why aren't you going to evo?? Evo has the best deals in town, literally. I left evo with a moderately scratched pair of 2022 Solomon QST 98's (demo skis) for less than $200. At another shop, they had quoted me almost $500 for an absolutely wrecked pair of the same skis (2024) and I just recently discovered the same pair of 2022's at that same shop (not sure on damage) for $250. Not to mention, evo had friendly, informative staff that got me out of there before closing. As previously mentioned in a previous review about another ski shop , do your due diligence before purchasing skis because there very well may be better deals nearby.

Gavin is the best boot fitter ever. So glad I listened to his professional advice! He helped me with boot fitting and a custom insole. I have a huge tailors bunion on both feet and I wear all of my shoes size 10.5 to give enough room to my bunions. I did the same with my snowboard boots. Which is too big and my feet slid around in the boots causing pain. I had to rest my feet after every run and it's just miserable. After measuring my feet, Gavin advised me to go down to 8.5 and recommend me the Ride Lasso Pro. He then helped me to stretch out the boots where my bunions lay and the pain instantly reduced, I'm somewhere like 7/10 pain free! As I break into these boots I will feel less pain. Thank you Gavin!

Evo will never get my family's business ever again. I went in there and bought brand new bent 90s and bindings. The bindings broke on my second run. We concluded that the bindings were too weak for my skiing style and they should have never been recommended to me in the first place. I took them back to get them fixed and they gave me an extremely hard time throughout the whole process. Dani was extremely rude to me when I came back to drop my boot off. She made rude and snarky comments such as "I've heard all about you" "I'm sure you were a 'dream' to speak with" "mommy and daddy won't be here to speak for you your whole life" and was not treating my brand new skis with respect. She was rough with them and dragged them across the ground. I do not appreciate this type of disrespect and I will never take my business to Evo ever again.

Brought my son to the AllTogether skate park. So very impressed with the space and all of the amenities! Beautiful space, amazing retail and cool, friendly vibe. Happy to spend my money and my time here!

They had an art exhibit and skate jam to celebrate international women's day and it was epic!!! I can't wait to go back there and check out their sporting gear (snowboard, skating, skiing, etc.) huge selection and they even have men's and women's clothes. And an indoor skate deck. Super awesome place!

The only place in SLC that was able and willing to fix my ski boot. Only took them 15 minutes.

They have good deals on rentals and are prompt with service. They also have demo boards. Would come back!

Even though there was not a special sale going on during our visit, it is always a treat to find past season Patagonia items at a discount. The store is clean, well laid out and well stocked, both with past season and current season items. Fitting rooms are spacious so you can try many items and still have room to check out all angles in the mirror. The staff is friendly as well. If you catch it at the wrong time, good luck finding a place to park because the lot is tiny. Inside, the store isn't large, but it packs a punch for what it has. A lot of items are discounted 30% or 40% (or more, depending on the event). Some of the items are samples and/or irregular items, so the discount(s) can be pretty steep. One of the best parts of this is that for someone who is out of town, they will ship your purchase for free. So I always take advantage of that because why pack it in your luggage when they'll do that for you? It's a great outlet with pretty stellar deals and a great selection. 100% worth the stop.

No idea where to go... at each entrance there are service stations where you may purchase your items or ask questions. I asked where to get my fishing license and the young man cheerfully gave me precise instructions. Once I arrived at customer service I was greeted warmly and in less than 5 minutes I had my license. I chose 1 year but you can choose from a good variety of options up to three years! 5 star experience... While I walked about I was asked by a floor monitor if they could assist me with anything... I asked T question and they responded kindly good people in the store. I got some Iowa beef sticks... they also had good variety of jerky... that meaty juicy type not dried. I asked AI what are the top 5 most popular lures that work best in Utah and the store had all of them. I took them, a great Nike T shirt and my beefsteak at the cashiers near the entrance, paid and bid good day. I'd shop this place again.

They offered to order it and ship it at no extra cost. Much appreciated. Otherwise it's a smaller 5.11 store, with most of the stuff seen in the larger one. It just wasn't overly stocked. One of the differences as opposed to California is that they carry Stiletto Knives, Also Known As CIA Gravity Knives. They are approximately 4.5 inches long and the blade deploys and retracts from the grip using a dual throw (Forward and Back) button or switch. Very cool! Don't worry California, I did not buy one, as cool as they are. Yup, all of the fun stuff is illegal in California, like butterfly knives, Stilettos and firearms with the "Fun Button" (Safe-Semi-Auto) on them. Sigh! One light at the end of the tunnel was "Jerry". Be nice to Jerry, he is a cool guy but if you get on his nerves, that's on you. All I can say is that he has seen some stuff and he may be the definition of "F" around and find out. Jerry is very knowledgeable and he pointed my nephew in the direction of the perfect tactical backpack, among other accessories and toys that will compliment his new career in federal law enforcement. I did not buy much, except for a memorable patch. I get one from each 5.11 I visit, just to say "Been there, my dude!" Overall, it is a large store with a lot of selection. If you are looking for some discounted or marked down winter ware, now is the time to check it out. I found a neat jacket, however I live in the Sweltering Summer portion of California and triple digit temperatures are less than a month away. So, I passed on the jacket. However, if you are Military, Law Enforcement, EMS, Fire Department, Practical Pistol Shooter, Multi-Platform (Pistol & Long Gun) competitor, or a First Responder of any kind and you need boots, pants, "Shorts", a tactical carrier (No Ballistic Plates are sold here, to my knowledge), morale patches, a quick snap tourniquet or some gym attire,... Talk to Jerry! Heck I would go back just to chew the fat with Jerry again. Be safe, everyone!
