I loved that it was wading depth water the whole way around. Plenty of room to walk and swim around. honestly great for all ages. They have a good amount of seating. Life guards are on duty. I loved how they did a routine child/parent check as well. The facilities were REALLY clean and the water was perfect. They have concessions for food and soft drinks. We will be back for sure!

We saw it all amd tried to drink as mu h as we could too..lol Bring cash as most vendors its there preference. Aside from the glorious fest that you can catch the whole month and comes once a year; The park is huge with water sports, biking, walks, relaxing,picnics and more. Obstacle course was fine. Most of the staff was friendly, but there was one lifeguard who was very rude to my son. I didn't purchase anything from concessions, but they also didn't have any prices listed which was annoying. I also thought the admission prices were kind of expensive. Almost $50 for my family of 4 (non residents).

I came with my two kids (3 and 6), my parents, my brother and his family (1 and 6) and my high school friends and their kids (9 and 12) and EVERYONE had a blast! The key was to get there early so you could enjoy all the attractions without the lines that form as the day goes on. We found loungers right away, grabbed tubes and hit the lazy river, and after a few relaxing laps, we headed for the splash pad. My 3 year old didn't leave there for the rest of the day. He was completely enthralled with all of the splash features, water slides, and fun that surrounded him. The water was just deep enough that he could float around on his stomach but not deep enough to ever be too worried. The older kids and myself hit the big slides, which were a blast. For a small waterpark, these were solid. The design kept you on your toes and they picked up enough speed to give you a little rush. They have an onsite cafe but they also allow you to bring in your own cooler, which is amazing! We packed a picnic and had a great lunch as a group. The one pro-tip I have is to book a FUNBRELLA! We thought about it too late, but these shaded pavilions are perfect for groups and reasonably priced so you don't even need a special occasion to get one. Sure I remembered it being much bigger, but Paradise Cove delivered!

They only have 3 slides besides the little kids park and from the 3 slides only 2 work most of the time.The big one is always getting repairs and there are no other slides. The food is way too expensive with chicken tenders costing $21 and when I went to buy ice cream it said it cost $7 but I got charged for $10 because of multiple taxes.They get lots of money and still can't get more rides. Overall, it's a fun water park, but there are definitely a few things to keep in mind before you go. The day of the week makes a HUGE difference. I've had the best experiences going during the week on a school day because you can actually ride everything without waiting in ridiculously long lines. On one visit, one of the lines took forever because the machine that brings the floats back up broke down and someone had to come fix it. One thing that really disappointed me was the music. Since Rapids is supposed to be a family/kid-oriented water park, I was surprised by how ratchet and inappropriate some of the DJ's music was. Even as an adult, I found it distasteful and really not appropriate for a place where there are so many children. The park could also be cleaner. The bathrooms in particular were pretty disgusting and didn't seem well maintained. The food is definitely overpriced, but that's expected at an amusement park. You also can't bring your own food into the park, so you're pretty much stuck purchasing food there. That being said, I actually thought the food was pretty good for what it is! I do think Rapids is really cute for kids, especially with all of the themed children's areas and slides. I still have fun every time I go, but I think it's important to set your expectations. Go on a weekday if you can, expect long lines on busy days, and be prepared for some cleanliness and music issues.
