She was friendly and gave good advice about the menu and explained the live music set up and timing when I asked about it. As I moved here a couple of days ago and I'm living out of a hotel until my belongings arrive on a moving truck, and I'm eating a lot of food out. I could say before this restaurant I was a little disappointed in the food I was trying at restaurants that had been rated five stars on yelp. For example, and it didn't happen at this restaurant, I had a Cobb salad the night before that relied on gobs of cheese to please, which shouldn't even be on a cob salad. But enough, groaning and moaning, and back to this restaurant. I love seafood, and I got the seafood appetizer platter. It was really good and I was quite satisfied. I started eating it and I thought now this is what I've been hoping for in a Jackson dining experience rated with high stars on yelp. I am looking forward to coming back to the restaurant and trying more of the items on the menu as there were many things that looked good.

The regular menu includes simpler recipes and all of them are good, especially the Mediterranean Salad and Breaded, boneless Pork Chop. Mike, co-owner and head chef, is a real star in the kitchen. He and his co-owner, wife Debbie, are cordial and really care about their customers. We are regular customers. The ambiance is very down-home and unassuming. The entire facility is always spotless. I arrived at the height of the busy time and while waiting to be seated was told by several locals that I had made a very good choice. They recommended the Sirloin for Two, I was alone, but got it anyway due to several additional recommendations. Hey, it became THREE steak dinners and they were GREAT! The owner came by and spoke to me, asked how I had located his business, I told him of the restaurant that had given me my dinner options and spoke so highly of his establishment. Unlimited, well stocked salad bar, not just lettuce but interesting and unusual items. Spiced pickles? Yum! I was too full for dessert but others nearby said all desserts are made ON SITE!
