This interior design is cute and thoroughly detailed to even their pens matching!! Everyone was very kind. I initially got lost and gps took me to bed bath and beyond area across the street. It's near the wine place and the brick buildings area. I'm so happy to have found a sugar place here. There was a sugar place I went to for about 5years that I was loyal to and it can be tough finding all your new places when you move. I had an amazing experience getting my underarms done. I have extremely sensitive skin and typical wax has never been my favorite thing-when I wax my eyebrows, my face gets puffy, red and itchy for hours. The sugaring has totally changed how I'll "self care" going forward. It's not painful but still a little odd feeling. It's also pretty fast! I did underarms in fear of having a reaction and needing to cover it up. I was a little red from where the hair was removed, but it was temporary (maybe 20 minutes) and I was never itchy or uncomfortable. I didn't let my hair grow as long as I could have before my appointment (it was about a week, it's better to be 10 or more days) but I still had super smooth underarms for at least 10 days before I started to see little hairs come back. Even since then, it hasn't been growing as fast as it normally does. I can't wait to come back as a very hairy person once the shelter in place is over! Next up is legs! read more

I do love Skin & Sugar so much! If you haven't been, I suggest you treat yourself and go get a facial! It's a smaller, chic location in UA on lane ave. I love the esthetician that I see everytime. They have individual rooms, which I love bc it does create a relaxing feel & you dont really hear noises from other rooms or the front desk. I also feel like I see the results after a treatment, and I'm never left disappointed from a facial (unlike some other places I have been). I truly love going to get a dermaplane done. Skin & Sugar also gives out punch cards, where after your 10th (?) Treatment you get up to $100 free service. This is especially nice bc I would say their services are not cheapest. read more

I visited Skin & Sugar for the first time, in preparation for my wedding day. I have a lot of things to say, but let me start with this: I absolutely LOVED my experience, will definitely be back, and would completely recommend! First-- easy to find, right in the heart of Upper Arlington. Parking is easy-- an entire private lot right behind the spa. From first glance, I knew I'd love the place-- adorable signage and the front lobby is gorgeous, with lots of natural light and beautiful decor. Check in was easy and prompt. Second-- my esthetician, Madison, was incredible. She greeted me quickly and did a quick consult to make sure I got the right service. I had no clue what to get, and after asking me some questions, she recommended the hydroplaning, along with derma-plane and the O2 facial. She suggested this would give the best, longest lasting glow-- a must for my wedding! She was personable, knowledgeable, friendly, and great at what she does. I will definitely visit her again soon! Lastly, and certainly most important-- I felt absolutely pampered the entire visit! The individual room was luxurious, the bed was so comfortable, and the treatment felt amazing. Never having derma-plane before I had no clue what to expect but it was completely painless and gentle. And WOW my skin has never felt so smooth in my entire life. In short, if you are looking for a relaxing and amazing spa experience, and to support a small business, I could not recommend Skin & Sugar higher. If you cancel your appointment or don't show up they will try to charge you the full price for your service. I had an appointment and something came up at the last minute and I was unable to make my appointment and they are unwilling to work with you. There are many places in Columbus to receive the services they offer, I recommend going to one of those. read more

I can't say enough about this place! I don't remember how I first discovered them, but I started going to Skin & Sugar when Sarah was a solo operation at a Salon Loft in UA. She's grown her business, added more estheticians, and got a super adorable space right on Lane Ave. Like one reviewer mentioned, the place is easy to find and there's a parking lot right behind the salon - so, stress-free parking! The salon is also super cute and comforting right when you walk in the door. They sell all of their amazing skincare products behind where the receptionist sits and they have a Keurig coffee machine with the cutest pink and white to-go coffee cups. I've been in for dermaplanes in the past but most recently, I went in for a skin emergency. My skin decided it wanted adult acne all of a sudden so I booked with Breanna. This was my second time with Breanna and this awesome girl knows what she's doing! She knows the struggle of adult acne and suggested the Be Clear facial. It was so relaxing...I didn't want it to end. No kidding, the next day, my skin was 90% clear. A week and a half later, I have no active breakouts or breakouts about to happen. I think we're in remission maybe?! I don't know that I could, or would want, to go to another salon.
