People have a lot going on in their lives and it will be nice to get recurring service somewhere that cares for their customers and cares about their results.

She said she would still honor the deal but kept repeating it's so much work and would take hours and that Groupon was supposed to take the ad down. It felt like she wanted me to offer to pay more, but I just said it sounds like she doesn't want to do it so I can go elsewhere and she said she would prefer that. On June 21, 2025, I visited Avalon Laser to treat a few facial spider veins after seeing the…read moredoctor's work on social media and reading positive Google reviews. What I expected to be a routine cosmetic procedure unfortunately resulted in a much more difficult outcome for me (photos attached). Shortly after the treatment, leaky blisters formed, and about a week later they developed into scabs on the treated areas. When the scabs eventually came off, many areas appeared indented and concerning. During virtual follow-up consultations, I was told the healing process appeared to be normal. However, my skin continued to worsen, and I later sought care at an emergency room, where the injuries were documented as burns and I was referred for dermatologic follow-up. Avalon Laser offered additional treatment options, including a CO laser session or microneedling at their facility, and also suggested that I see a dermatologist in the Los Angeles area. I did undergo one CO laser session with Avalon Laser, but I ultimately decided not to continue treatment at the clinic because I no longer felt comfortable proceeding there. To their credit, the clinic checked in with me virtually on a regular basis and offered encouragement during the healing process. However, my recovery has been much longer and more challenging than I expected based on how my skin appeared. Since then, I have consulted with several specialists and undergone multiple treatments in an effort to improve my skin. The recovery process has been lengthy, painful, and uncertain. The clinic refunded the cost of the original treatment, which I appreciated, but it has not come close to covering the many additional medical visits, treatments, medications, and skincare products I have needed since then. The emotional impact has also been very difficult. For weeks I struggled to sleep and often cried at night. I became withdrawn and stopped seeing friends because I felt embarrassed about my appearance. What began as a simple cosmetic procedure has turned into a long and ongoing recovery. I attempted to pursue compensation through legal counsel and sent a demand letter, but I did not receive a response. I also followed up by email without success. I am sharing my personal experience so that others can be aware and carefully consider their options before undergoing treatment. She responded, verbatim: "He's busy right now but will be out soon." Who is "he"? A doctor? A provider? We had no idea. She then disappeared into the back without having us check in, collect our information, or fill out any paperwork, leaving us standing alone in the empty lobby. After waiting even longer, I called the front desk from my phone, hoping it would prompt someone to come out. The phone rang twice with no answer. I called again, and the same employee answered with, "Hi, how may I help you?" I said, "I'm standing in the lobby. Is anyone going to help us?" There wasn't a single other patient in the waiting room. She finally came back out and asked what insurance we had--which they accepted--but continued moving at an incredibly slow pace. At that point, I asked, "Can you tell me where there's a real urgent care?" We left and went to Scripps instead, where my daughter received prompt, professional care. This was one of the most bizarre and frustrating healthcare experiences I've ever had. If your child has an urgent injury, I would not recommend coming here. Definitely a scam!

Eyebrows used to be so extremely stressful for me. I have OCD and it would cause me to spend an extra thirty minutes on my make-up almost everyday. I definitely had my eyebrow phases, and I'm just now realizing how dark I used to do them! It was so frustrating and I used to wish to get them micro-bladed! It was tough though, because eyebrows are a huge deal on the face. One of the first things people notice about you are your eyebrows! They can make or break your whole face lol! I began to do my research and came across Sarah on Instagram, just off her work pictures in comparison to other specialist in the area I knew I could trust her. I was so shocked and happy she was so close to my home! I'm a recording artist and I'm on camera a lot, Sarah was completely understanding after sharing my frustrations and the scheduling was a breeze with her. She has amazing communication skills and stayed in touch till the consult and first shading session. Sarah was so kind and welcoming when I met and her passion shined through immediately of wanting to give me exactly what I wanted. She is a perfectionist just like me! I related on a lot of levels with her, coming to America and starting this business like my Mom who had also come from Africa. To come to another country not speaking the language and to have such an amazing business skills and talent was so impressive to me. My brows came out amazing first session. I was so pleased with them and loved how natural they looked!! OMG!!! I was just taken back by this lovely Brazillian artist as soon as I walked thru her doors. Everything was as buusiness as you can get, a great deal of information about after-care so the process can heal properly which is so critical to having a wonderful look. Sarah explained the Micro-Blading procedure in the consultation as well as during the application process which was very comforting. Her artistry skills are second to none and she try to make the procedure as painless as possible with good conversation which is a plus. For me... my tatooed eyebrows had been fading and I was drawing them on with percision. I'm in absolutely love with my microblanding done by this beautiful soul Sarah . My eyebrows had some natural hair but was without definition and had some gaps. Sarah was able to educate me and explained to me that I didn't need shade since I have some hair on my brows. Less is more she said. She also explained to me how the drawing might appear a bit over whelming then the final results after adding the strokes she was right. The procedure isn't painful in my opinion and she applies numbing after the skin is open ( less numb better retention ) she explained to me. You must trust the process Sarah knows her craft she is a truly artist . Healing can be scary ... but the eyebrows will fade just like she explained to me. I'm so thankful I found Sarah she is passionate about her work and shows by how much time she is whiling to spend with me . It's so funny to review myself But I came here actually to say to you I have been in business for over 10 years ... Yelp has helped me so much but with that said I still not understanding of the way it works. There is a reason why Sarah gets 5 star ratings - she is simply the best! After significant research, I chose to have Sarah do my eyebrows. Upon meeting me, she was warm, welcoming & yet professional, even hugging me! She took quite a bit of extra time with me, drawing my eyebrows to my satisfaction & explaining everything. I could tell that she really had my best interests at heart. As other reviewers have noted, her microblading work is amazing. I love my eyebrows so much that I decided to have her do a series of microneedling sessions on me. We just finished #2, & I can already see the difference in my skin! It's easy to see that she's a perfectionist who really cares about her clients. She even texts me to follow-up after each procedure. I had a facial and eyebrow wax/shaping with Sarah and I am so happy with the outcome! Sarah is extremely nice and easy to talk to. I explained what I wanted and she delivered above and beyond. She did my eyebrows first and penciled them in to make sure they looked perfectly even, and then had to remove it for the facial, but she did them all over again at the end of the appt so she could give me advice and teach me how to fill them in correctly at home. Sarah did microblading on my eyebrows and they turned out fantastic! She provided very detailed before and after care instructions and was accurate in her description on the healing process. Between my initial appointment and touch up I decided I wanted to pull back on the intensity of the color and she was able to do it perfectly. I finally decided to go ahead with the procedure, and I wish I would have done it sooner. They look elegant, subtle, but noticeable. Alessandra is a true artist and am so grateful I found her. I needed my lips touched up for a wedding this year and although it's only been two years and it's supposed to be permanent make up she charged me the full price of $450. Then there was a glitch in her payment method. Her secretary called me in a rage saying that I should come in immediately and pay my bill. It was a Saturday. I told her that I needed to check my credit card account first and see if the payment went through on my end. In the meantime, they figured out the glitch was not on my end but on theirs. Rather than using a credit card again through the phone I sent her a check. Now if she hadn't been talking so much (which she does incessantly) she would've noticed that her machine wasn't working because she kept me sitting there literally for 30 minutes listening to her complain about another customer before I finally said I had to leave. Her work is not bad. She just seems to make sure that touchups are needed - charging $150 for each. I would not use her again and will go elsewhere for my touchup which I need because the initial job was not very good.

I originally wrote a negative review after perm brows done by Kathy, but the mutual friend that…read morereferred me told me she called her very upset so I took it down. But I don't want anyone else to have my bad experience. I originally made the appt for eyeliner and she immediately told me over phone, sight unseen that I needed brows too. Well it's been probably 6-7 years since then of dealing with uneven brows and regretting having them done. She used what appeared to be black ink which turned blue quickly. Every time I have a picture taken I am shocked to see my brows. The left one is higher and has a bigger arch. In fact when Kathy did my 'after' pic and looked at her camera she made an audible gasp, quickly switched away from the pic and didn't show me. (Note that during her measuring she said that I had a very symmetrical face.) After the brows healed a bit, I talked to her about uneven areas, including the inner brows not matching in angle as well as some ink dots that were abnormal. She was snappy in her response, even arrogant. Knowing she had taken that pic previously and obviously didn't like what she saw, I can only think her negative response was her not wanting to admit her work wasn't good or not knowing how to fix it. As a few other reviews stated, Kathy talked way too much during the procedure which were some intense stories when you just want to be still and meditate thru the pain and to make sure her full attention is on her work. Also, her instructions were vague and she didn't explain what to expect as far as follow up as part of the initial cost. I've since learned from other perm brow artists that it takes a couple additional appointments as part of the procedure to do little adjustments, so I'm not sure why she acted arrogant about me saying they needed some areas tweaked. I never had a follow up to see her. Due to her attitude I honestly didn't feel comfortable letting her work on me again. I've spent an additional $1000 trying to get my brows fixed, but it's pretty much impossible unless I have laser done which is costly, takes several months and can cause scarring.

I normally don't post negative reviews like this but, instead of DISCUSSING whatever her issues were with me, she just took me off her books, Blocked my number, and Blocked me on social media... what, are we 5th Graders? I have screenshots of my very civil attempts to communicate with her via text, just in case anyone wants to see how immature and unreasonable she can be when it comes to resolving issues. She left me no other option to air my grievances. As I believe "it takes a village" I also want to warn others away from a potentially very negative vibe.
